I have to say, the photographer/videographer did such a fantastic job here. If there is an airplane model maker out there who wants to get details on where to put decals on models, this is the PERFECT video to do that. Great job LIAO FUKANG!
我的朋友福康! Thank-you for taking the time to share your experience at San Francisco Airport. It seems as if San Francisco has the best observation location for the general public to access. I always did think you had more video to share when you posted the push back, taxi, and takeoff of the Lufthansa A380 in your last video. Always know how much I appreciate what you do on our behalf. I hope all is well with you and your family. I also hope you will find more time to relax and enjoy yourself, and that you will not always have to work so hard. Thank-you again. I am looking forward to viewing your next post.
Hello Guerry my friend! I didn't realize that there is such a location until recently. It's truly the best location for plane spotting around SFO that I have ever been to. Luckily we can access the best location, the top floor of the employee garage, through application. I happened to find some time to enjoy the annual Fleet Week Airshow in San Francisco today, fantastic weather and performance. I should be able to share some footage soon. Likewise, I hope all is well with you and your family! I will see you soon on my next video.
You can also film from the garage @ the A pier go to the top floor and you can get so close-up of the arrivals of BA, Korean etc and anyone that parks at gates A2-4-6-8-10 and from Air Train the best one are @ Terminal 2. I used to be a Fueler @ SFO most of my flights were BA, Japan Virgin, Alitalia when they were flying here. and a few others that was back in 2001.
Could you share more information of the garage that you mentioned? Is that the Garage A? Sounds like a great spot to be. Air Train station at T2 is a great one too. I went there for a few times, great for runway 28 takeoff. Alitalia no longer flies to SFO but I hope I can see it in the future.
@@fuhkangliao1 That's correct Parking Garage ( A ) International Terminal top floor only good for arrivals on gates A-2-4-6-8-10. Like I sad Alitalia no longer flies here this was during the time I was a fueler 2001. Have fun cheers.
@@fuhkangliao1 Nolt much of a spotter, but regularly flew LHR - SFO. Garage A would be a great spot, i'm sure the building works shouldn't make a difference. BA, Virgin, Aer Lingus, Air France, the pink wizz's (if they still go there)
Who or how do u ask for permission? I sit on top of San Bruno Blvd overpass. Where is your spot? Looks like the end of the tram rails ? Thx. Nice video
Obviously it's not a direct flight because EVA is a Taipei-based airline, so it has to stop off in Taiwan. Whatever flight that you are referring to direct to Singapore is either based in the US or Singapore. But my original statement still stands, it's my favorite airline to fly to Bangkok
Timothy Cook There are many exceptions to this rule though, with fifth freedom flights. For example, EVA flies direct from Bangkok to London, Vienna and Amsterdam without a stop in Taipei; this is because Bangkok is a focus city/secondary hub for EVA.
I usually go to the Bayfront Park in Millbrae for plane spotting. The Westfield Garage is a very different location. Don't forget to apply for permission a few days before your visit.
Thank you! I use a Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid head. However, most part of the video is handheld shooting. The key is stabilization by post processing software.
Thank you! It's the employee Garage. You could check out the video description for detailed information. I go to the Marriott spot quite often too, like 60% of the time.
Its south of the City and County of San Francisco on the peninsula. Operatively speaking it is a department of the City and County however like most American airports its meant to provide for itself in terms of providing operational and transformative cash flow and it is just a City department in name.
How do you get there? Is it a public parking garage or employees? If its for employees they are unlikely to allow anyone else up there. THe lighting doesn't look that good for photos - kind of backlit on the ramp. What time of day were you there? It kind of looks like near mid day.
You could send them a request at: support.flysfo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new I went there at 3pm. The lighting gets better and better when the sun goes down.
The 800 is the aircraft serie... 1st digit represents the version. 2nd digit represents engine manufacturer, i.e., 4 for Rolls Royce Engines and 6 for Engine Alliance Engines. Since, A380 has only two engines as options for airliners, let us not worry about what number goes for other manufacturers. 3rd digit represents engine type which depends on the aircraft model. A380-841 => RR Trent 970-84 or 970B-84. A380-842 => RR Trent 972-84 or 972B-84 A380-861 => GP 7270 by Engine Alliance
Depends on the carrier's fleet, needs, passenger traffic, and ultimately cargo. Air Canada needs to retain profitability and service so they need to design their route traffic (such as assigning which plane type to each airport and flight code) to align themselves with what revenue comes best with that particular code number.
This is amazing... I've been trying to find a spotting location for a long time. Thank you for sharing! By the way, what camera gear do you use? Would they allow a tripod on that terrace?
Thank you! The camera I use is a Sony AX53. You could bring a tripod I believe. But a tripod might not help much when capturing takeoff scene because of the significant change of viewing angle.
I have to say, the photographer/videographer did such a fantastic job here. If there is an airplane model maker out there who wants to get details on where to put decals on models, this is the PERFECT video to do that. Great job LIAO FUKANG!
Thank you so much! I used to build scale models a few years back. That's a lot of fun.
Wow awsome footage! It has all the aircraft we miss.A380,747,737 MAX

Lufthansa A380 Looks so beautiful and huge
I love watching the plane movement at SFO! Great captures! Liked & Subbed! Amazing!
The A380 at 7:45 makes those regional jets look so teeny tiny!
Thank you for sharing the spotting tip. Awesome video 👍👍
Thank you, glad that you enjoyed it!
I thought your thumbnail was a skidded 747
Fantastic video! 👍
Excellent Video
That was great. More from this spot!

Great to know! I went to the Bayfront park last weekend, the buildings around Terminal A changed a lot.
Great video! And thanks for sharing the spot.
Thank you! Keep in mind that if you want to go to the spot, you will have to ask the airport for permission.

You can send a request on SFO website. It's the Westfield garage.
Liao Fukang thx so much
Liao Fukang what do you have to do to send a request
I love plane spotting too, hope i can spot there someday. 😍
7:47 That Lufthansa A380 makes that SkyWest CRJ look like a joke.
Aaron Nieradzik the time stamp is 747 😮😮
Imagine putting that thing behind the a380 on final 🤡
Great video, excellent work. Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you so much!
sick spot bro!
That's a great show ! :) Congrats!
Thank you very much! I am glad that you enjoy it.

6months later... 737MAX9 and MAX8 I hereby declare Grounded
awesome spotting Liao
Thank you Yannis!
Silly wind. Oh well. It is what it is. 👍
Question... At 20.46 right at the main gear area of the Korean Air triple 7 there is something flapping in the wind. It doesn't look normal.
Nice !
Thank you!
Awesome
Thank you!

Very good looking Air Canada Boeing 737 MAX with masked bandit cockpit windows.
AC is changing over to the new livery
Very very well done sir! You showcased a nice variety of flights. I'm also in the SF Bay Area and always wanted to find the best place to spot.
Thank you very much sir! This is the best spot at SFO that I know
What location is this? We’re going Wednesday and would like to get some good spots.
SFO is coolest plane spotting place
Yes but its a nightmare to base commercial operations near there.
A new video from the same location just go live. Check it out!

Nice videos, is it free for use?
A very great video it’s cool to see it but is it cooler to see it in person like from your view
Thank you! A new video from the same location just go live. Check it out!
I usually plane spot at the Millbrae Marina but I want to try the Westfield Garage. I also like the wingtips of the A350.
I usually go to the Bayfront Park in Millbrae for plane spotting. The Westfield Garage is a very different location. Don't forget to apply for permission a few days before your visit.

謝謝,很高興你喜歡!
I never knew United had a 777-300ER!
New part of UA’s fleet added a few months ago
You forgot that United 737 (star alliance) 10:24 was MAX 8 too:) like Air Canada from Toronto
Great catch!
This actually wasn't a MAX, it's just an NG with split scimitar winglets.
Years ago I watched planes land from a boat on the bay. Can you still do that?
Wow not sure if can do that now.
As I'm watching this the same exact A380 at 4:50 is about to take off from SFO lol
That's so cool!
very nice spotting you did, about permissions where exactly in that webpage you have to go? there're many menus on that one.
Try contact us page. There should be a place for you to send messages.
Excellent video! May I ask what fluid head and tripod you using?
Thank you! I use a Manfrotto MVH500AH fluid head. However, most part of the video is handheld shooting. The key is stabilization by post processing software.
Great video and location! Where did you record? I usually only go to the Marriott to spot but this is a great location.
Thank you! It's the employee Garage. You could check out the video description for detailed information. I go to the Marriott spot quite often too, like 60% of the time.
Wow! This is amazing! How did they let you into the garage? Who did you asked permission from?
It's an amazing spot! You could send a request at: support.flysfo.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
WOW!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

How can Air Canada and United be so much different in size, scale even vast difference

Air Canada needs to retain profitability and service so they need to design their route traffic (such as assigning which plane type to each airport and flight code) to align themselves with what revenue comes best with that particular code number.
Did you spot Air India ?
I didn't see Air India during the session. I believe the flight is in the morning?
Arrives at 5:51am and departs sfo at 10:27am AI 174@@fuhkangliao1
Minh co the van san bay ko
Why is that?
What would you say the minimum focal range is tho?
You could try with a 70-300mm full frame equivalent for this spot
This is amazing... I've been trying to find a spotting location for a long time. Thank you for sharing! By the way, what camera gear do you use? Would they allow a tripod on that terrace?

Got it. Are you shooting handheld or with a gimbal?
I shot handheld but a gimbal might help
Great video! I also record so many jet planes and subscribe!
Thank you!
Liao Fukang your welcome.
1:26 HOI! THAT IS NOT YOUR SOUND! GIVE THAT BACK TO THE GE90!
ain't no one gonna talk about the annoying wind?
Who do you ask Liao? Can you tell me. I’m shooting on Wednesday, the 10th. IG @onehundredabove
