I was seeing a T shirt from a lightweight cutting jersey. I have no stretch interfacing to hand -but I make bras so I have mesh.. What a fabulous to. It will be my go-to for stabilising lightweight knits
As someone who has made hand knit, crocheted, and seen knit, I can assure that sewn sweaters are handmade requiring as much specialized skill as a knit or crocheted sweater...just different skills. I do prefer hand knit if it is a something like an Irish or Icelandic sweater or even one with a specialty stitch like brioche but for something like the Oslo sweater, I would opt for handmade sewn instead of hand knit.
Love these videos Sarai...I'm taping together the Jill Coatigan pattern as my first coat or coat like big sweater. I bought an all cotton sherpa knit from Minerva ...think I learned that term from one of your videos. Hoping that I can sew it up this long 3 day weekend. Appreciate you and Hayley and all the fun work you do...videos and podcasts. xx Karen
You could watch the Milo sewalong and then use this tips from this video if using a sweater knit as your main fabric. www.seamwork.com/online-sewing-classes/milo-cardigan-sewalong/lessons/1
I made the Rooney out of an inexpensive sweater knit as a text. I love it and can’t wait to make it again

Personally, I prefer a handmade sweater.Yours is Beautiful!
For those of us who are all thumbs with never knit brains, I am so happy such fabrics are made so I personally can enjoy a hand-sewn sweater. 🙃

Could we have a course on seamwork website for a sweater knit project? I would really like to follow one to get started! 🙏🙂
