Thank you so much for all these awesome ideas. I'm still new to sewing but I'm loving it more and more everything I make something. Thank you for sharing your time and talents. From south africa ❤❤
I love hansie, on the Seamwork forums it's called 'the beloved hansie' :D I did some experiments to see how little fabric you can get away with and found that you can get it out of 1m of fabric in a size 10 but only if it's 144cm wide, when I made one out of a metre of quilt cotton I had to make patchwork squares for the back. I'd say the best hansie I have was made out of a viscose poplin so soft it was almost like brushed cotton - and now after typing that I'm thinking viscose challis for my next one.
Great ideas! I'm making aprons and it's also a good scrap buster! I've decided to use fabric scraps for the patch pockets and straps and it works wonderfully. The remaining scraps will be turned into scrunchies for my daughter's friends. 😅

"the beloved Hansie" -- I love that!
What a bonanza of ideas. Thank you for reminding me I have ticking fabric so my plans for an apron are set.

Aprons and handkerchiefs are also easy to make for gifts 🎁

How about a bow tie?
That would also make a great hand-made gift!
