    wow, this is a lovely workout, sir, I am not going to basic training but this is really good to prepare even for assessment. I must say you will make a great fitness instructor

      @@noelfuh8153 yeah mate that’s great an easy pass. You may need to do the bleep test which you required level 8.7

      @@KyleSmithFIT I do try the bleep test but it is my less favourite, to be honest. That's is why I am happy in some way that commonwealth recruitment has been on hold, that means the 2km run will be back by then

    Currently doing 4miles in around 34mins & 5miles in 42mins so hoping I can improve better on time & more miles.
    Got my assessment coming up Pirbright in June. 🙏🙏

      @@KyleSmithFIT Was wondering if you would have any idea on the cognitive or barb test.
      Looking to join infantry but am I right to say the following topics are for more technical roles:
      1. Categorical awareness
      2. Error analysis
      3. Logical reasoning
      4. Number reasoning
      5. Rule analysis
      6. Spatial reasoning
      Trying to revise for it but keep getting those topics online & finding it difficult to be honest 😭😭

    Hi Kyle, this is a lovely video! I recently applied to join the British army as a paratrooper (quite ironic for a medium sized semi skinny dude, but I don't believe in impossibilities). I haven't jogged in a while but last I checked I could jog for 60mins on a slow and steady pace, on a mixed terrain. I haven't been invited for assessment but my fingers are crossed, I want to start prepping for training and I came across your video. I have no means of measuring distance (miles), is there a way I could work around that? I also need to know if I could rest at intervals in the 20 reps per exercise AMRAPs, if yes, how long can I rest?
    I truly appreciate the effort you've put in to help us prepare for training 🙏🏽

      Check my most recent video there is an updated training plan for para entry. Also, use your phone to measure, Strava app is decent.
      If you still have nothing then find a free running track to use, each loop is 400 meters use that to calculate your mileage

    Love these videos, thank you! I’m heading down to Winchester for basic on July 11th having passed assessment centre with 11.4 on the bleep test just the other day (heading royal engineers.) Any advice you might give or something which I might not think to take but be helpful?

      Just follow the packet list jasmine, don’t take loads of cloths etc there is no point as soon as you get there they put everyone in the same Jacksuit and make you all the same.
      Make sure you have the essentials like a watch, wash Kit, and stationary stuff because it costs a fortune on camp.
      Apparent from that you don’t need anything else, you can find the rest of the stuff on camp if you need it.

      ermm you may do one when you get there, either that or a 2km run. Do worry if you do not pass there is just to get a start point for you. You normally always do one before you leave training as well.

    Starting basic on 12th of september going royal engineers, im getting around 9 on the bleep test and about 30-40 press ups in 2 mins and 40-50 situps in 2 mins. Do you think I would struggle on pt with these scores (gonna keep training until september tho)

      Well there are loads of different methods of doing mobility work, search 10 minute mobility session in RUclips.
      Or do yoga, Pilates, there’s loads of different methods improving mobility.

    Waiting on a date for assessment centre and just wondering how long it takes to get a date for basic training, or if not able to push to the date so I can start sooner

      It all depends on your job role, and how many slots there is. The only real way to find out
      Is to ask your recruiter, they will have the available slots and dates. If you want to get in as quick as possible just mention it to them see what they can do.

      You will be fine mate it is just to make sure you are fit to carry out training… and you have not picked up and injury between AC and starting.

    What should I do I’m 15 I’m very fast and that but I’m terrible with stamina I get tired so so quickly

      Go for long runs, low heart rate and build endurance/aerobic base.
      You should be able to be able to hold a cover station whilst running that when you are running at the right pace, do this for 3,4,5 miles and try to continue to improve the distance if you can.

      @@kuro_flame9674 ok, run 300m then walk 300m continue that for 2 miles.
      Next time try to run 300 and walk 150.
      Run 750 walk 100 and continue with that approach mate just improve where you can, if you cant do it just continue on the same distance till you can.

    The British Army is currently recruiting. Commonwealth Country Visa is a British Army Recruitment Visa. Please tell me how old it takes. It will help you a lot and where to go for recruitment. Plz reply. Please help

      You cannot join from a commonwealth country at the moment unless you have citizenship in the UK. This is what the army website says.

    how far should a phase 1 soldier get on a bleep test?
    ive used a bleep test as a good measurement of cardio fitness and got 12.4 yesterday when i need 6.6
    but im not sure how good my cardio needs to be for phase 1

      I would not worry at all, you are way above the average. Your cardio will be fine 👍🏻

      @@westay4924 I really would not worry about things like this mate, in training I did not do any weights at all.
      I think it has changed slightly now so, you may do some as part of a PT session but it’s not something you can fail.

      Yes you can just ring your recruiter and tell him your not ready, you would like to push it back.
