He perfectly described my symptoms after my total hip replacement. I have anterior pain with spasms that is sharp. It is the hip flexor type of pain. All of my MRIs and x-rays have been normal. I have gone to Physical Therapy twice. And I still have pain every single day since the surgery which was several years ago.
I have a muscle spasm after and rear to my left hip replacement. My surgeon said it’s nothing related to his surgery. That’s a joke because it was not present before.
I'm in my 9th week after my hip surgery. I'm having sharp pains in the front of my hip down to the knee. It has took my breath away at times. I just finished up PT last Monday. I have good flexibility and strength. And I cannot yet sleep in bed without severe pain. Also extended setting driving puts me over the edge. Waiting for surgeon to get me back in for X-rays.
Hi, I’m in week nine of total hip replacement and still can’t put much weight on the leg/hip. Extreme pain when weight is put on it, the pinching in front as you say. I have used a cane for well over a year because of neuropathy from my knee to toes. I also have systemic nerve damage in my body; (shoulders, arms, hands and legs. Diagnosed with small fiber nerve damage) Hardly any balance at all. I used the walker for the first 6 weeks because I really couldn’t put weight on it. I’m now using my can, but still, the pain is crazy. I’m going to have to look into it. I have brought it up with PT on several occasions, but they haven’t put me in front of the Dr. yet, which is weird to me…! Thanks.
Thanks for this video I got h. Replacement exactly two months ago and I knew that I must do surgery on the other one as well. After surgery I had no pain on the operated hip but gradually I notice I have pain now in front on both hips. How do I know what the origin of pain is among all reasons you counted. Appreciate if I get a reply.
I have a hip fractured surgery in December 2023 with screw only. My surgery leg is about 3-4 center short. I just had my X-ray done and it show fracture not healing properly. Now, I have to do another surgery 😢. How long will my second surgery will be expecting to be recovery? I am still in the process of recovering from previous surgery.
He’s given you many reasons which are all applicable so there is not just one reason. I found out through a specialized therapist how bad my body was from walking wonky with my bad knee for soooooo long, that even after the knee was replaced and healed great etc, I was still a mess! My spine was out of alignment, my walk was awkward,…. It took about 2 yrs to get my whole body back to normal. Now I’m dealing with this situation because I’ve had 2 hip replacements, and 2 dislocations which css as used me to fall and fracture my spine, all beginning in March. I’m healing as slow as molasses. I get frustrated but I keep driving on hoping ‘time’ will get me right again?? Ugh, surgeries are hard for many reasons. Recovery is even harder sometimes, also for many reasons??

@johnmorgan 7468 That is a normal response from any surgeon.
