I was there in 2004, I had one and it was delicious, the monkey nut shells on the floor made a satisfying crunch and it was an excellent night. If you go to singapore go to Raffles long bar it's well worth a visit.

My favorite drink! I’d love to hear more about the type of grenadine and pineapple you use. Made specifically for Raffles I heard.. I understand if it’s a trade secret, but if you’re willing to get me in the ballpark, I would be very grateful!
Why the hell do all the other recipes I’ve seen use more than double the liquor and spirits but same amount of lime and pineapple juice? This sounds much better and considering it comes from the original source, I’ll take this as the most authentic.
This version taste very weak... I had it. It’s sweet and you can barely taste the alcohol
nah... this isn't the original recipe. Disappointed. There was never grenadine in this drink.
Its not weak, was there 2014. Good and strong. But sat in the atrium . Nicer area.

We loved our stay at Raffles 20 years ago, and our fabulous dinner at Doc Cheng’s, but I have to admit that I found the Singapore Sling too sweet for my tastes.

Not rare at all. Local supermarkets sell them all
Order them on amazon, that's what I did
Only the cherry liqueur and bitters are rare ... the rest can be found
I would say more expensive than rare - you can find Benedictine, Cointreau and Heering at liquor stores but they are not cheap at all.

1/2 oz Cherry Heering/Sangue Morlacco
1/4 oz DOM Benedictine
1/4 oz Cointreau
1 oz Gin
4 oz Pineapple Juice

It is still my favorite cocktail even if it is NOT "especially for ladies"... I am a man and enjoyed this at Raffles back in 1991 with my girlfriend at that time... ❣
