Fella.... Someone tried to steal my Tahoe the other night and messed up the key ignition. I couldn't get my key to turn it...so like the MAN I am I decided to drill out the cylinder...45 minutes later NOTHING!!! So I looked on RUclips.. 1st video no help. So I thought I turned off my cell... i was str8 HEATED!!! a few minutes later I hear ur voice instructing me what to do!!! Good looking out Sir!!!
Thanks this actually helped me start my truck with a broken key and I think I may have messed something up when I pulled out the lock cylinder and then put it back in anyway I can start my truck now.
So I don't wanna mess my security system up but have to get to work to buy new ignition, I have a 02 Tahoe and used my old 03 Silverado key(sanded it down so it would go it and wiggle) I got my ignition turned this is my question can I go ahead and start it with my homemade jiggler n just do this every time for couple days? Or will it mess my security up?

Got a 04 CTS n the key got stuck. Locksmith got the key out n thinks the key lock cylinder housing needs to b replaced cuz the key goes forward but doesn't snap back when u turn the key on. Car won't start. Whats yr call on this issue?

@@martintodd5312 that’s because if the key is a 10 cut, then you would only be able to get 8 or 7 of those cuts from the door. The ignition has the last 2-3 cuts. But once you have 7-8 of the cuts, depending on the machine you use to cut the key; there’ll be a database that lets you find the remaining cuts. Sometimes it only gives you one option to cut, sometimes you have to cut multiple test keys to get the correct one
Question,....I'm curious to find out if purchase a new ignition cylinder with key, and I install it, and for any reason I need to pull it back out,..is it just push a small pick in the top hole or you also need to push up on the bottom with the special little tool,...just curious
I broke off the end of my ignitiion on a 2003 trail blazer, im thinking o gota remove and disassemble the column to get the ignition out now because the depresser buttons are exposed and i have no real way to depress both at the same time. I sprayed lithium grease into the cylinder by accident. I meant to use graphite but didnt know I wasnt supposed to spray anything into the cylinder. Now the truck turns over but wont start. Does anyone have any suggestions?
If the ignition lock cylinder is on the steering wheel column..yes It will be very similar..however if the ignition is on the dash it will be a quite bit complicated!!

No transponder?? Its a chip key..wont the anti theft module turn on if you use that key..i have a 06 cts caddy that i had to get locksmith to cut a key and program with a scantool??

Take the time to finish properly, a job worth doing is one worth doing right. And use proper lock lubrication WD-40 is sticky and is gonna grab and hold every piece of dust and grit it comes into contact with

na...lishi would have not been better or faster..first the lock decodes like shit and you only get part of the bitting, then yoiull need to progress several keys likely. I would rather remove ignition and cut by code

For me it's easier and faster lishi the door and get the key cuts (unless) it's not the same key with the ignition. Great video, thanks for sharing.

This vehicle is non transponder... every vehicle is different..these early models dont require transponder.. until 2007

I have tried the lishi yes but i feel this is a little faster technique for me...
Also lishi must be made for the ignition i believe its called the 3-1 ..because some lishi are only for the door and trunk locks only...

The only thing i can recommend that has worked for me was drilling out the side bar on the ignition lock cylinder with a drill!!
