Hey Shelly, I have similar (dry, sensitive) skin like you. I had the exact experience with cetaphil and physiogel moisturizers (both variants). I just don't think it worked well as a face moisturizer. I got white heads and oily patches. I was quite disappointed because I really wanted them to work. The cetaphil gentle cleanser, Neutrogena cleanser, Moiz cleanser, Clinsure cleanser were also a big fail, wasn't cleansing my skin properly and gave me whiteheads. They are all cream cleansers which don't do a good job of cleansing sunscreen, perhaps. La shield spf was a big fail for me too, gave me breakouts and was completely unusable on my skin. Sadly the Simple cleanser also gave me breakouts :/ wasn't cleansing enough. However, try Humiderm moisturizer and Ekrant soft spf 50 (silicone based), these two have worked well on my skin. However don't know if the spf is true to its advertised value, but you can use it indoors.

Cleansme and alikes can't work as a stand alone cleanser .. they can only be used as second cleanser for double cleansing ... Same goes with bioderma mild cleansers.. but influencers don't explain this clearly
@@tushitatravel2710 True! But in my case it didn't work even with double cleansing. I used the Innisfree green tea oil cleanser along with these cream cleansers.

Brooo shelly !! I wanted someone to raise voice for this !! Me and my mother both of us gave the cetaphil DAM and trust me it failed for both of us. I cannot thank you enough for putting light on this. The cetaphil is not for everyone and it's not the OG. It seems overhyped so much now. I regret buying it with my hard earned money so much.

I wanted to try that DAM cream, but with the experience I had with their OG cream, now I dont want to try anything else!! I am done with this brand!

Shelly, I can completely relate to not to buy silicone based sunscreens after having horrible experience with la shield one. Even I didn’t bought this kinds of sunscreens for longest period of time. I am just sharing my experience, that the reequil one is far different from the la shield, its light fluffy velvety in texture and doesn’t feel like you have applied sunscreen and gives a Demi matte finish. I m not telling you to go buy and check this product out. I really love that you prefer to give a product a good try rather going for the cult favourites. Love you

So, we cannot say just because a product is raved, it will suit our skin. La shield 50 one is raved not only on Shweta Vijay and other channels but also by sampati and many other people not only on RUclips but also on Instagram. We can clearly seen in this video, despite the fact that cetaphil and cerave are so famous not only in India but around the world, talked by many famous influencers and dermatologist but some of those products didn’t suit her. This is why every single creator in product review platform always say that skin care is subjective.

I bought the simple light mosturiser cause it was affordable and the brand is really popular but after using it for weeks,, I seriously got breakouts (not a sensitive skin person btw) . That was the first time I got breakouts..🙂. When I applied it for the first time it gave a burning sensation, thought it was normal ☺️ Still suffering from the after effects *dark spots* Bye . Same thing happened with me with Simple moisturizer. I wanted to like it and tried so hard to get my skin used to the product but nothing worked. My skin became dull and darker. I haven't found a nice affordable moisturizer yet.

Thank you so much for mentioning that sometimes products might not break you out or give any irritation, but can make your skin darker!!! I've dealt with this issue for soooooo long!! I've had major difficulty finding serums and moisturisers that would not temporarily or permanently make my face look dull! Whenever influencers, any brand recommends products for sensitive skin, they always mean people who face redness and irritation or breakouts, which were usually not my concerns. But that's how sensitivity has always been defined by everyone!! I get dullness and pigmentation VERY easily. I have not seen anyone mention this before or even address this, even among Indian influencers. So, thank you so much for taking this into consideration as I always feel like my concern was not understood and this makes me feel validated! :)
Damn, simple cleanser got my sensitive skin red and itchy. I was doubting all the other products in my routine, but looks like this was the culprit. The itch was so bad I lost some night's sleep 😭
Hey! I completely agree on your take about silicones. Yes, they are not bad but God whenever I applied lashield it made me feel like my pores were trapped and continue heavy feeling. I have dry skin but IT WAS A HUGE FAIL.

I wanted cerave to work so badly as it's an awesome cream for body but sadly every time it failed.. Same with Neutrogena hydroboost gel that was making my skin dull and lifeless.. Finally I got Cosryx oil free ultra moisturizing lotion after watching one of your recommendations and it worked.. Yayyy😄 Thank you and keep making videos.. You are doing Awesome 👍

Same..... Famous commercial products never work for my dehydrated combination acne prone free 😅 saw the ingredients of all these moisutizers and immediately knew they wouldn't work....

This happens to me as well. I don't know why but when my skin is well moisturized and hydrated, my PIH becomes less visible. The PIH become darker when the moisturizer is not sufficient for me. It happened with Simple and Cetaphil moisturizers.
I have oily skin , la shield sunscreen.. Is so greasy for me ... And the white cast is annoying.. I have wheatish skintone.. Since u have to apply a good amt of sunscreen the greasy texture dint work for me either.... But I do like the requil sunscreen.. It's not very oily like la shield. And it gives pretty good protection
Simple hydrating moisturizer is the only moisturizer (except gels) that have suited my very oily skin,even I use this in winter. but I didn't look if it's making my acne marks darker 🙁, now I'm concerned. AM: Vanicream gentle cleanser->snail toner->benzoyl peroxide gel 5%->blackgirl sunscreen PM: vanicream gentle cleanser->differin adapalene gel->vanicream moisturizer It had been a year, acne free and I can still consume sugar along with healthy diet. And good thing along with clear skin...my wallet is still full. If you want to try facial or spa then avoid. Would suggest prp or prf injection which can help stistimulate new collagen and minimize scars as time goes. But make sure to put numbing cream on. Also soak your self with sunscreen. Even staying at home.
I was using physiogel for a year.. currently I stop using this lotion.. I did notice whiteheads and bumpy texture all over my face but I never thought that this lotion was the reason behind it.. 🙄 And for the la shield suncreen.. I had the same experience..
Some products can be very confusing! Because of the good ingredients list, hype and everything, we just tend to overlook our skin scream! Hope your skin is doing better now!❤️

The new batch of simple moisturiser which are priced at 430 rupees has got some weird smell which was the case before. And i have used this moisturiser for about 2years. Now i am afraid of using this moisturiser. Very disappointing.
Hey I bought their face wash refreshing one and it was also smelling very weird. I thought it's just me but now I got atleast someone who is feeling the same. But their hydrating light moisturizer is working very very well.
So true I didn't even accept that it's not working and kept using it but after realising I've switched to bioderma intensive Baume and it's suiting my skin better

CAN YOU REVIEW CETAPHIL DAM?? My skin is dry sensitive, I have used Cetaphil DAM, i used 2 tubes but after buying this cream of 2021 manufacturing date. My skin became red... Pehle thik thi cream but ab texture also has changed and quality too...
I also didn't like la Shield fiscico Spf 50. It says it's water resistant but after swimming or splashing water it gives horrible whitecaste one but I like la Shield Spf 40.

Cerave moisturizer is the best that has worked for me my friends and even my kids eczema . I had dry flaky n sensitive skin n it has actually repaired my skin barrier.

Cetaphil DAM did not work for me .. la shield fisco was too heavy.. neutragena sunscreen stung my skin so much, I struggled to finish the product.. And pls don't feel pressurized to fit in.. it's not worth the stress and effort ..

I have loved physiogel. It has 2 forms one is lotion based another one is cream based.. it depends . During summers lotion based works for me and during winters cream based .. it treated my seborrheic dermatitis I had around my face area.. Yes la sheild broke me out terribly..
I saw nykaa giving sale and like an idiot, believing the internet i bought 5 tubes of la shield sunscreen in October 2020, oh lord horrible..my brown skin looked deep purple, my dry skin was more dry, my eyes kept burning ,even after washing my eyes would just keep burning, my skin looked patchy... horrible re application experience... never will i ever buy it again!!!! SUCH A WAAAASTEEEEEEE Neutrogena extra gentle cleanser, cetaphil cream and dam lotion was bomb btw! After trying cetaphil cream and dam i haven't changed my moisturizer!!! Simple facewash was a big big fail!!
Hey..I respect ur content...but why ..for what reason u used physiogel saying that using as a moisturizer for oily skin ?? It's clearly for dry and irritated means itching due to excessive dry skin and for oily skin u can try this on winter but only 2 drops of it ..trust me it's a great product ..I belong to oily skin family and I use this lotion but only on winters.. During winters it perfectly calm ur skin and make it pinkish glowy....pls don't take this other wise just sharing my experience... good luck ❤💙💜

I said it in the beginning of video, that I bought most of these products in Feb-Mar, in Feb the weather is quite chilly and isn't hot in north. I basically wanted it to include as a calming / barrier cream for oily skin in winter or in early dry summer time, but all that explanation didn't matter as product failed on my dry, sensitive and acne prone skin!! Whenever I pick a product for review and try on, I just don't look at the descriptions, as description are misleading. I check ingredients and texture!! Also Lotions depending on texture and consistency can suit various skin types in different weather!!

Reequil Sunscreens are v confusing. The blue one gave me dry patches and the orange one pills if you don't rub it in vigorously but I don't mind doing that because the finish is beautiful ✨

you can try testing XERINA soft lotion. Its affordable, intense moisturizing and easily available too. Also its fragrance fee and a clean product especially meant for dry sensitive skin.

My skintone is dusky and i have a lot of hyperpigmentation around my mouth and i also have uneven skin. whenever i use a moisturiser my skin looks superior dull. Can u plz suggest me a moisturiser? And i used minimalist moisturiser and it highlighted the pigmentation even more.
I used cetaphil DAM moisturizer for some months and everything was fine but now whenever I use it my pores appear larger the next morning! Don't know what happened.

This is so common....so many moisturisers recommended by others have given me bumps and increased the healing time for my acne....I am just mad now!!! 😡

This happens to me as well. I don't know why but when my skin is well moisturized and hydrated, my PIH becomes less visible. The PIH become darker when the moisturizer is not sufficient for me. It happened with Simple and Cetaphil moisturizers.
it can happen as dried out skin automatically starts looking darker, same goes to the PIH spot!
Try vanicream it has no ingredients to cause any issue.
I have oily skin , la shield sunscreen.. Is so greasy for me ... And the white cast is annoying.. I have wheatish skintone.. Since u have to apply a good amt of sunscreen the greasy texture dint work for me either.... But I do like the requil sunscreen.. It's not very oily like la shield. And it gives pretty good protection
Simple light moisturiser didn't work for me also but simple refreshing facewash is performing well on me. I have oily acne prone skin.

Simple hydrating moisturizer is the only moisturizer (except gels) that have suited my very oily skin,even I use this in winter. but I didn't look if it's making my acne marks darker 🙁, now I'm concerned. Can u suggest something for very oily skin in summer? Currently I'm using innisfree aloe revital gel, also I bought formula rx barrier relief cream, which I am saving for winter.

I had some acne mark at that time which I showed in the video, that giant acne mark got lightened a little, but as soon as I started using the simple lotion, it suddenly gotten noticeably darker!! It had been a year, acne free and I can still consume sugar along with healthy diet.
And good thing along with clear skin...my wallet is still full.
If you want to try facial or spa then avoid. Would suggest prp or prf injection
which can help stistimulate new collagen and minimize scars as time goes. But make sure to put numbing cream on.
Also soak your self with sunscreen. Even staying at home.

I have dry sensitive rosacea skin. Try aveeno dermexa it's the best moisturizer I have used after trying more than 20 types.

I was using physiogel for a year.. currently I stop using this lotion.. I did notice whiteheads and bumpy texture all over my face but I never thought that this lotion was the reason behind it.. 🙄
And for the la shield suncreen.. I had the same experience..
Some products can be very confusing! Because of the good ingredients list, hype and everything, we just tend to overlook our skin scream!

The new batch of simple moisturiser which are priced at 430 rupees has got some weird smell which was the case before. And i have used this moisturiser for about 2years. Now i am afraid of using this moisturiser. Very disappointing.
Hey I bought their face wash refreshing one and it was also smelling very weird. I thought it's just me but now I got atleast someone who is feeling the same. But their hydrating light moisturizer is working very very well.

CAN YOU REVIEW CETAPHIL DAM?? My skin is dry sensitive, I have used Cetaphil DAM, i used 2 tubes but after buying this cream of 2021 manufacturing date. My skin became red... Pehle thik thi cream but ab texture also has changed and quality too...
I also didn't like la Shield fiscico Spf 50. It says it's water resistant but after swimming or splashing water it gives horrible whitecaste one but I like la Shield Spf 40.

Can I just say that I LOVED this video!!! Cerave and cetaphil both were horrible for my skin too which is combination skin. I can't believe I spent 2k on the cerave products, that ended up being used as a body mosturizer 😭😭😭

Cerave moisturizer is the best that has worked for me my friends and even my kids eczema . I had dry flaky n sensitive skin n it has actually repaired my skin barrier.

I have loved physiogel. It has 2 forms one is lotion based another one is cream based.. it depends . During summers lotion based works for me and during winters cream based .. it treated my seborrheic dermatitis I had around my face area.. Yes la sheild broke me out terribly..

Hey..I respect ur content...but why ..for what reason u used physiogel saying that using as a moisturizer for oily skin ?? It's clearly for dry and irritated means itching due to excessive dry skin and for oily skin u can try this on winter but only 2 drops of it ..trust me it's a great product ..I belong to oily skin family and I use this lotion but only on winters.. During winters it perfectly calm ur skin and make it pinkish glowy....pls don't take this other wise just sharing my experience... good luck ❤💙💜

I said it in the beginning of video, that I bought most of these products in Feb-Mar, in Feb the weather is quite chilly and isn't hot in north. I basically wanted it to include as a calming / barrier cream for oily skin in winter or in early dry summer time, but all that explanation didn't matter as product failed on my dry, sensitive and acne prone skin!! Whenever I pick a product for review and try on, I just don't look at the descriptions, as description are misleading. I check ingredients and texture!! Also Lotions depending on texture and consistency can suit various skin types in different weather!!

Reequil Sunscreens are v confusing. The blue one gave me dry patches and the orange one pills if you don't rub it in vigorously but I don't mind doing that because the finish is beautiful ✨
i too tried simple moisturizer and cetaphil one, i have normal skin, both made my skin extremely dark, people started asking me if i wasn't well.

you can try testing XERINA soft lotion. Its affordable, intense moisturizing and easily available too. Also its fragrance fee and a clean product especially meant for dry sensitive skin.
