Best part about these videos is the live shop and all the trash talk to the guys!! Gotta love it!
Always over delivering Andy! Thatta boy!
You are welcome buddy!
As always?? LOVED IT!! Here is a guy that does NOT need a teleprompter (unlike others that all of us know!)
Comment below if you got any other maintenance tips that you like to do!
Need a electrical video
How to care for dirty boat carpet without tearing it up. I've always used a pressure washer and go against the grain and it definitely gets everything out that ground into the carpet but it shortens the life of the carpet. Everyone always says get sea dek but cute chick's don't like laying on hot ass sea dek and carpet with a towel down and they'll lay on the back deck looking good in a bikini 😂
TIRES: Check for cracks in the rubber as in "DRY ROT!" Those will ALWAYS cripple a boating trip with a LOUD bang and a rhythmic "thump, thump, thump". NOT GOOD! Incidentally, ensure that you have a tire jack and lug nut wrench.
Don’t buy a mercury?
Love your honesty and sense of humor Andy! Always putting out great videos for us viewers…
Love this guy just talking shit to everyone, calling out peoples spots 😂 that’s great
I love how you come out at a volume of 20 and bring it back down to about an 8 consistently!
🤣🤣🤣
Dont forget boat bunks ran in to it couple weeks ago just remade new ones. Wasnt thinking about it but learned it my self the hard way
Great video Andy! Full of great info
👍🏻👍🏻
The fire part had me lmao... "the waters on fucking fire..."
Thanks for making these videos. You always put out good info and point out the idiots all in one sentance. Keep up the good work.
Bringing the 🔥 on this one! Freaking love it.
Andy for the win !!!
Man i get a kick out of your videos! KEEP THEM COMING... 🤣🤣🤣
Love the videos you put out! I’m in Mountain WI. I have a 2000 Alumacraft with a 50 Mercury 2 stroke and I can tell you how grateful I was to hear you like the Mercury 50 2 stroke. Thank you again for what you do!!!
Your very practical logic about boat maintenance should be used before you leave the driveway. This should be a daily requirement, that said, you can be on the water or under. Good video Andy!.
Got to love another video of Andy having a meltdown 😂😂. Keep them coming
Freaking rolling man😂😂 shit cracks me up haha as always thank you for the great content, the great laughs, and complete honesty
Glad I stumbled on your channel, I love the content . Keep up the good work. Close to 30k subs !
You guy's are Great! 😂🤣
Usually once a year my spouse and I will put out lawn chairs at the boat ramp. Good cheap entertainment, couples cussing each other out cuz they can’t back a boat. Cowlings off, ether spraying, jumper cables, kitchen chair in a pos tri-hull, with a Chrysler! Good times
That's good shit man lmfao!
Andy, I have a 2020 Suzuki DF90a, Does it have a steel plug in the exhaust port or has it now been fixed in this year model?? Plz help
When should you change out the water pump impeller
Dude, love the video.
Glad to hear it!
Also... pull the prop and make sure there isn't any fishing line/cord/"stuff" around the shaft. And, If you winterize your outboard before putting her up (and you trust your service shop... which I do) that should take care of a bunch of the outboard stuff except turning her over... (that's what SHE said!). Good tips Andy!
Do you have a video on how to choose the correct prop for your boat? I have an 250 XB and I am having trouble getting it to plane out. I’ve tried everything. Stratos 20’ 96 model.
Now that was entertaining!😂
Best channel on RUclips
Thanks Phil!
Good tips, might not be a bad idea to mention fuel stabilizer
Love the energy!
Thanks Andy!!
All great info... One thing I would change.... Should always check/change gear oil BEFORE winter storage. Water in the gearcase will freeze and can crack the housing! Doing this in the fall is an easy way to catch it before the major damage occurs.
I will tell you this...If you was just a book nerd mechanic you wouldnt have half the subscribers you have now. Yes you are damn knowledgeable on boats and outboards but its how you present yourself in the videos and your attitude is great. I love your videos and love you guys. Keep up the great work. Speed/Money/Nobrakes...See Ya!
Could u do a video about smaller Motors like 140 - 90 hp motor. Thanks
Another great public service announcement 🎉.
New boat owner. Do surge brakes have brake fluid I need to check?
😅 lol true shop talk at its best.
Check all safety equipment!
Fire extinguisher (s) & expiration
Inflatable lifejackets & expiration
Mildew-y equipment
Whistle/horns
Sunscreen (does expire)
Butt wipe materials
First aid kit
Dont forget... gear oil must be replaced in the fall for the cold region. If you have an important water intrusion, you may get our foot housing crack during freezing.
Make sure water is flowing properly through your ficht computer so you can get back to the ramp
Haha for sure
good info way to go
Mr. Andie,
These are great tips on how to keep your boat properly maintenced. These small things go a really long way. So when I get to the point of having no choice but to bring my boat to the shop, I noticed the hourly rates seemed to be horrendous sometimes. Like when you’re 110% not sure what your issue is and you want a professional look at your boat. My local shop will charge me over 130 bucks plus tax just to tell me what the issue is. I know what you guys do makes sense to make a living but could you explain why you guys charge so much?? Thank you sir
Hilarious!! “Gonna lose subscribers cause I……………”😂😂
need a Andy fix for the weekend
Can you please offer that shirt you have on for sale but new??
What did you say, couldnt hear ya! So i just stared at the champion.
love the videos i need a tip my nephew is going back overseas and his boat is going to sit for about 26 months under his carport he lives too far for me to take it out sometimes for him he asked me should he run the gas out of his boat or fill tank and treat gas i have no idea what to tell him 2016 legend 250 merc
@deltabass9697 All you need to do is purchase a quality fuel treatment and add it to the tank and then fill your tank with ethanol free fuel, Then you want to run your engine until that treated fuel has circulated throughout your whole fuel system! I live in New Jersey and I have been doing that to my boat for the last 20 years, I have even filled my tank with ethanol fuel with zero issues! I have a 4.3L V6 4bbl with a OMC Cobra and a 160 gallon fuel tank, My boat has even sat for three years while waiting for a set of one piece Exhaust manifolds that we’re discontinued! I have been a mechanic for the past 27 years and I have owned my own auto and marine business for the past 10! As long as you treat your fuel you will be fine, And the reason for filling the tank is to minimize moisture in your tank caused by temperature swings
Next “just the tip” video presented by Andy - Backing up a boat at the launch
Funny video and good advice!
Thanks Paul
What if you never put your boat away for the winter
Is there a place to buy a axial for a 2017 521C? Besides ranger/Basspro
None of the shops around me will even look at my boat..it’s a 86 monark with 70hp 1974 Evinrude they all just want me to buy a new motor and boat..needless to say I learned a lot about this old outboard 😂
Maintenance is key.
It sucks for the owners, but you have to see it from the shops perspective. Typically hard to get parts, old engines are hard to tune/finicky, and the owners of the older rigs frankly don't like spending money even if its necessary.
@@MJ_Bassoh I totally understand why they don’t want to but It also getting annoying at times..I think the hardest thing is finding quality parts for these old outboards
How bout a video about Wisconsin made boats. Gale Marine, Tuffy, Recon...
Every time I go to replace my plugs the guy at the auto parts store tries to sell me those ngk plugs and I tell them NOPE!
I live in western Montana , only service shop close by is dishonest and do not follow through . Had them check my propshaft, said it was out of spec and would order me one. Never heard back from them. Drove 3 hours to a shop in Washington, found out my it was perfectly straight. Had that shop pre-ordered one so i could get it done in one trip. So if anyone needs a propshaft for a 2016 era SHO , I have one available for sale .
I can not stress this enough..........CHECK YOUR TRANSOM/ENGINE OR TRANSUM/JACK PLATE/ENGINE BOLTS..........I almost lost my outboard once. It's an over looked detail.
Just had an incident yesterday. Hub on the the front axle of the trailer locked up causing it to rip the axle right off the trailer frame and it pulled the 2nd axle off the frame as well. Boat survived but trailer is trashed. What trailers will work for a ranger z21 and anyone know where I can get a ranger trailer?
How much for that pretty Champ behind you?
Do you know anything in if gambler might be going out of business again
Add: check/replace spark plugs and fuel filters
Is Gambler bass boats going out of business?
Whats wrong with ngk plugs🤔
Evinrudes are picky and come factory with Champion plugs and run best on them
Put a charge to the batteries
👍
Just last week I passed a $120,000 bass boat on the side of the Interstate with the trailer wheel laying beside the boat. That guy didn't save any money!
My dealer wanted to charge me $200 just for an oil change. No thanks, I’ll do it myself.
You forgot about batteries!!! Did I say batteries???? Batteries!!!
I can’t watch this video with all that background noise. It’s really bad this time.
Can't stop the shops progress. It's what pays for us to be able to do RUclips. 👍🏻
❤😂😂
And learn how to back up a trailer - LOL
🤣😂🤣😂 i wonder if you did loose subscribers!
What about my Bayliner with a Kristler Motor Andy
👍
