EDIT: For those wondering why there's no Violin solo, it's because this cover is in a different key and it's not possible to perform the same solo on violin in the new key, so instead I decided to go for a Lang Lang style piano solo instead.

The table scene gets me every time. How do you help someone when your greatest strength is their greatest torment. Vi had no idea Jinx manifested the guilt and grief she feels surrounding their family into monsters.
It might not be the reason, but Jinx's trademark tattoos of blue clouds are strongly reminiscent of the blue smoke that comes from the flare Vi gave her when she said "light it up and I'll find you". I think it was her way of calling out to her sister - a permanent mark on her body so her beloved sister could always find her.

For me, I think this theory is not perfect. I say this because I assume Jinx had never opened that smoke torch (I'm not familiar with that smoke torch so idk how it works [like is there an on and off switch?]), so the tattoo clouds would've been a coincidence; however, it might mean something else to us when it doesn't for the characters.

You know, the the image of jinx lying on the floor makes me feel and think that its what jinx did after firing the rocket. Just went back to her place and grieve silco's death, until she fell asleep.
Dont forget that Jinx wanted wai to accept her as she was, but everything turned out the other way around

@@unknownstranger3646 in the game Vi is also on Piltovers side...she has many interractions with other Zaun characters calling her straight up traitor ...I am sure that Vi is going to lose her softness in the show and goes to Piltovers side, soo heartbreaking indeed, I fear we even get to see Vi try to kill Jinx :(but in the game yeah Jinx lives with Ziggs :D Jinx thinks he is part of his imagination and wants to hug him but Ziggs knows she is a sociopath and is afraid of her :D but at least she is having fun, and they also said that Arcane isnt canon.....so anything can happen in the show

Most people probably interpreted the song as Jinx's feelings towards Silco but I honestly think it's directed at both Silco and Vi, these two were the people that impacted her the most in her life, and if you listen to the lyrics, it would very well apply to both

I only thought of Vi, Silco didn't even cross my mind tbh. She was shooting that rocket to piltover and the song says "I wan't you to hurt like you hurt me" and " I wan't you to lose like I lose when I play". That's obviously her grudge towards Vi.
@@mintberry6845 in my own interpretation i think those two lines could apply to silco as well, as part of jinx' pov at least. At this point of the story she's experiencing a shit ton of emotions, and she's already a complex character, so i don't find it difficult to believe the song is directed at both vi and silco
@@Karasuno86 so for "I'm the monster you created" it could also apply to silco, as regardless of his genuine care for jinx, he has enabled her destructive behavior and her madness. For "why don't you love who i am", for me at least, just like how vi could not accept that powder has become jinx, silco does not want jinx to revert back to powder (again, this is regardless of his intentions and care for jinx). Both jinx and powder are one and the same person, and neither silco or vi would accept the other half (yeah ik she chooses to be jinx completely in the end but i mean up until the point she killed silco she was at least holding on to powder in some way, his death was just the turning point)

@@matthewwindelspecht2559 yup vi cant accept the fact that the powder she knew is a mentally broken and damaged person. She blames all of Powders "evilness" as something silico created aka Jinx. Jinx just wanted to be accepted and to be loved and silico in the end was the only one to do that for her.

@@eelias3911 It’s not like Vi has been given much opportunity to process the change and accept Jinx though. She did try her best but always some unlucky events got in the way.
Just take the last scene of episode 6 for example : Vi defininately wanted to reunite with her sister no matter if she changed or not, but then Ekko’s group got in the way.
Then at the bridge scene in episode 7 she turned back to go find her sister, but then Marcus fcked it up and then Jinx blew everyone and started shooting at them.
What really got in the way of Vi’s affection isn’t that Powder had changed, but Powder’s obsession with seeing Caitlyn as an enemy and misunderstanding the situation.
Even at the final dinner table scene, Vi only says positive things to Jinx and wants to reunite with her sister, but again it’s Powder misinterpreting things and getting in the way. In truth she never let Vi any opportunity to actually proves that she accepts her as she is now.
Sad turn of events unfortunately

@@haydenberends3905 Well haven't they been working on it since 2019 or something? And season 2 doesn't seem to be coming out until 2023 according to imdb. Maybe they take 2 years to perfect it, which is a good thing.

That no one noticed Powder actually dying when Silco died. Jinx's eyes go dead with him. She watched closely as the life drained from him, she never understood death, and that day she looked at it as if in a mirror 😢
The "dont you love who i am"part is really tragic, jinx just wanted vi to accept her as jinx, because powder is basically gone. So if vi had picked jinx she wouldnt have had shot that rocket

Jinx is not OK. She is a danger to herself and others. There was no way Vi could've chosen Jinx in good conscience.

@@cybercriminal3110 caitlyn was right though, jinx was too far gone. the damage was long done, and powder would at best only keep jinx at bay for short periods of time. jinx was just too sick In the head to ever be normal again, we just see the good in her because as the viewers thats what we were hoping for but the lyrics to the song that played in that scene is pretty much a narration of jinxs headspace.

Arcane is one of those once in a life time treasures I’ve watched. 10/10 loved everything about it.

You should totally make a cover of "Dear Friend Across the River" That song really set the tone of the show and hooked me on watching it. And the orchestrated reprisal of it throughout the show is just amazing.
More people should watch this show… you understand how good the story is when you think about the decisions the characters make in the circumstances they go through.

I have listened to "What Could Have Been" many times, and let me tell you that it is the best cover of this song. Samuel Kim's background music, Trevor Hoffmann's solo piano and Aloma Steele's singing make this cover extremely beautiful and moving in every way, is there something you guys don't do right?.
I love this cover because it feels sadder and quiter like realizing what you lost after everything is over. Someone else said that it feels like Jinx singing while Sting feels like Silco

Damn. These vocals being less clean or strong just adds that emotional element. The higher pitch makes it less a power ballad and more someone's tears falling. Its fricken EPIC!
