This was the actual live show but the day before there was a dress rehearsal and we were told at the beginning of the show that there would possibly be times where they would stop to adjust sound or fix any problems, well that never happened. I have never experienced anything like this womans voice, so strong and clear it was inhuman, a solid two hours of showstopping performance that has yet to be replicated by anyone, her gift was truly unique! I was privileged to be there, rest in peace sweet angel the heavens are sounding more glorious now!
@@TamirYardenne I assume HBO has the original footage of the dress rehearsal I was sitting right hand side 17 rows from the front, on the actual night of the taping I was on duty and the sound coming from that hangar where this was performed was crazy! My wife was able to go to the televised show. I can't rememer if it was the day before or the day of the dress rehearsal but a couple of us snuck in the back and saw her rehearsing I'll never forget she had on a brown flight jacket and dark sunglasses it was only a couple of seconds, those two days were memorable at best, I also remember which she didnt do in the live performance she came out into the audience again a couple of seconds, I was only a couple of feet from her she was stunning it took my breath away. I had seen her live prior to this show, unfortunately later that year she was to come back to the area to perform and for unknown reasons the show was cancelled. Sweet memories of an angel!
I believe Whitney really admire Michael straight from her heart. You can hear it when she sings. She even dances some of his signature dance steps from time to time. Like in this performance. They would have made a beautiful couple if they ever had gotten together.🤩🎶🎶🎶🦋🦋🦋💖🎊
*Whitney 'The Voice' Houston Rocks!!* Great energetic performance that always brings a smile on my face! Whitney had a suit like this one in many colors and she looks damn good in each one of them!
Damn Whitney go in! IYBT is my fave era. At this point she was known as an entertainer along with a vocalist. Imo some of the best production of her career was in the IYBT era. Critics r idiots for saying the album was Lukewarm....lukewarm my ass
She's still amazing I think.of her cousin Dionne. The green lime leotards got to go but she dances with some of her fans. Back then, I'm not a truly full fan of hers but I love her later r and b 70's stuff like the album,my love is your love with wyclef and Milton nascimento. Count one with auntie Cece and waiting to exhale as a seal actress she can really be,hey I guess I be a real actress bit I'm been that for years. Thanks ms whitney and Dionne, we keep the good times roll and full liberation grown.
She was wearing one in a performance of I Have Nothing at the Billboard Awards, I noticed she signaled that she couldn’t hear herself and it caused her to jump ahead of the note. Wouldn’t be able to tell if you weren’t looking for it tho.
@@kimberlyjade4094 The fact that she pointed at her ear doesn't mean she had an earpiece. She didn't wear earpieces, but she needed floor monitors (floor speakers AKA "wedges" ), like all "live" singers, to hear herself. She clearly has 4 floor speakers facing her in that performance; she was merely 'telling' the sound engineers to turn up the volume on the floor monitors. If she had in-ears, there would be no need for all those wedges.
Always reminded me of Kermit the Frog LOL Not my fav look of her's but the dress she wears at then end of this concert is one of my favs! Just GROGEOUS!
More than one song that's called "Who do you love?". A YG song with Drake on it. A Bo Diddley/Doors song. And now a Whitney Houston one? And there's even another song named "Behind the mask" that contain the lyric "Who do you love?". What a lot songs that are about lovers.
I love how she performed this song.
Bass Mainer me to
That voice that voice. A gift from God so powerful bird in her throat
This woman would sing from her soul! What a powerhouse of a voice man wow. May she rest in peace 🙏🏾💯💙

Julio Quintana wow... what a blessing. Thanks for sharing.
Whitney NEVER wore Ear Pieces. ...... True talent
She wore once at the billboard music awards 1993 she sang i have nothing
Cause she knew she sounded good she didn't need ta hear herself
Rickey said they made her feel less connected to the music
4:11 she shut that down!!
the live version of this song sounds better than the original. leave to whitney to bring it
@E T Yes INDEED!! 🙌😘
Why was this not a single and another number one for Whitney???😢

For real, they would’ve been so beautiful together, we truly lost legends.😢
Whitney is soo beautiful 😍
Written by Luther Vandross❤️️❤️️❤️️
Wow really I didn’t know that this is one of my most favourite Whitney tunes
Love Luther
Thank you for sharing ✨🙏💞🙏✨
I feel like she loved performing this song live then most of her other ones
If you use head phones it sounds like your there and can kinda feel what everyone else felt when they herd her live
I love the gospel influences in this song
Luther wrote and produced this
CeCe Winans and Cissy Houston sang background on this song too!
Love Love Love, this WOMAN!
Amen!! I love her too!!

One Dollar Bleach in my opinion the album wasn’t great but her career and stage performance was damn near peak
IYBT is underrated I think it's way better than the second album. I belong to you, my favourite whitney song is on that album
IYBT was crap. She shouldn't have listened all those bitter and self sabotaging blacks about how she made "too white" music.
