When you spend 40,000 on training and gear and get sniped by farmer John with a BAR on the first day of the boogaloo
The BAR safari in 338 win is a boogaloo rated weapon in my eyes.
ayyye I have a Belgium made .338 win mag BAR. She's one of my prized guns.
@@APage-hn6cz I wish to hell I owned one. I've stopped taking people's offers to shoot guns I can't afford to own lol.
Quick question with the boogaloo stuff, why is the assumption that farmer John will be picking off people just passing by? Unless the scenario is that we are cutting through his fields or something.
@@ejmoreno270 We probably will be cutting through his fields to stay off of the roads and also so we can hide from the government drones.
When Beto says you shouldn't own weapons of war. So you buy 2 tanks
Or two lever rifles!
Hahaha I was litteraly thinking does anybody notice two tanks in the background 😂
I want a video on those tanks
Some say the second amendment was talking about weapons of the time I'm buying some cannons and lineing them up in front of my house loaded with grape shot and ball kinde of like buck and ball
Fun fact. One of the founding fathers owned an entire naval warship.
"What are you hunting with a 7mm Magnum?"
"Yes."
You cannot beat the ballistics of a 7MM magnum! I also have a Remington 700 I have some Hornet 110 ballistic tipped round! Them things are coming out of that mother F&$@;# at 3600 fps there are not many full caliber rounds chuckin led that fast! 500 yard kill shots all day long no problem! One of the flattest shooting rounds out there! Love it just love it!
Yeah buddy! They hit hard really hard! I shot a 300 plus pound black bear at 350 yards! From impact it moved 15 yards and the round still did a full pass through! When I dressed it out it was running with no heart. Lung heart lung! But I could only find 2 or 3 pieces of the heart and they were shredded! They are a devastating round and that's was with a Hornady 139 gr BTSP! But glad to hear you are out there throwing lead down range that's always a great day!
Whatever I want. I use my 300 win mag with 200gr bullets for everything
Same gun I hunt with 7mm mag. One shot drop

Things are getting tough when the deer are wearing body armor.
That's why 50bmg is the new deer round.
Thank God flame throwers are legal in America. Body armor won't stop that!

It's not that animal are wearing armor its amateur hunters that cant tell the difference between a animal and a person...a similar accident just happened a few days ago ...
As long as they don't shoot back you guys should be fine. ;)
I picked up a carrier and some plates from AR500. Probably would never need it but Schumer says I can't have it.

Even if it doesn’t penetrate the armour I would imagine the concussive force would kill you
@@tobiojr most likely it would fracture ribs or maybe the chest plate
@rob roy I think they still use them in Africa, no?
@rob roy 416 Ribgy is the primary competitor to the 375 H&H in big game hunting. Not really an oddball.
The biggest hunting round is a 700 nitro express try that

They didn’t even bother with the vests
You burglarize someone's house, run out, then just get nailed with a 375 H&H.

I wanted to see a 300wm. I know that's a little much for hunting here in the south unless you're hunting a power pole, but I'd be cool to see if I'd stop it.
That's what we use for Elk, Bear, and Moose here in Colorado!
Similar ballistics as the 7mm
@Augusto Pinochet 300 has more energy, but 7mm a smaller bullet that penetrates better. The parent cartridge doesn't matter. It's all about FFS, bullet constitution, and diameter.

Can we get some gel ballistic's behind these armor plates to see how bad of damage it will do to a body potentially if the shot makes it through the armor?
The blunt force trauma of the 45 /70 round would put you on the ground without going though the plate with cracked ribbs or bruised innereds that's a lot of energy to receive to the body the hotter bear load would be massively painful

I remember when the guys at velocity munitions started up a few years back, I live about 20 minutes from fort Scott out here in Kansas. They bought an old building that as far as I know hadn’t been used prior to that since before I was born. Within a few months they were open and that place is amazing inside, small store still but extremely high quality goods in there. Really glad to see you guys trying there ammo, I think they definitely deserve the publicity. They’re really nice and down to earth guys in there and they’ve worked really hard in the last few years developing all sorts of different in house ammo. Glad to see my little small town mentioned on a huge channel like this. Lol probably the first time and the last. But still, nice to see it.

I don’t hunt anymore because of the dip shits in the woods that have never hunted but have to impress their wife and father/brother in law by taking his 12 year old son out and bringing home a deer.
Especially if you are hunting with Dick Cheney...
@@buckbundy8642 -- I prefer to just sit in my tree stand with a cooler of beer, watch the deer go by, and then talk about the ones that got away when I get home... It's a lot less work that way and at my age, I'm not really all that inclined to do much that requires "effort"... :)
I would love to see a spring scale rigged up behind the armor, how many pounds of force hit, they really rocked the post, could you stand after the hit?
William Werman I wouldn’t be standing after any of that
The force itself won't knock you over if you aren't knocked over shotting the round it won't knock you over getting hit by it. Getting the wind knocked out of you if you don't have proper padding or placement of the armor would put you on the ground.
Getting the wind knocked out of you would be the best case scenario. The energy delivered by these rounds could easily break ribs and/or cause internal bleeding even if the plate stops them.
@@xXbrokenvoidXx considering that this is a hard plate that doesn't deform after being hit, i don't think you would break any ribs. It would probably bruise you but the energy of the round is going to disperse over the entire surface of the plate.
Stand behind a steel plate with you off hand on the back. With it hanging there smack it with a 2lb hammer and see how the hand feels.
Another fantastic episode gents! Thank you
I am addicted to y'alls armor testing videos. Please do more soon!
Hunting in some WMAs practically requires body armor
So fudds are less of threat during the boogaloo?
Tadicuslegion78 if you had level 3 I would worry about it breaking ribs. Worst you get will be bruising.
Tadicuslegion78 I bet you’re a bunch of fun at parties. It was a joke, we all know fudds are not going to participate in the Boogaloo
@ 338 win mag will absolutely devastate you even with trauma pads if you try using lvl 3+ instead of quality lvl 4. Even with lvl 4 it is more than just "something to consider". Not all hunting is done with these more common rounds.
You were shooting Level III+ armor. Level IIIA+ armor is an upgraded pistol grade armor made by Safe Life Defense, and it would definitely not stop those hunting bullets.

Funny I just got home and this vid was posted. We were doing some steel shooting at our home range yesterday and decided to sacrifice one of our 10", 1/2" thick AR500 gongs to the power of a 7mm ultra mag. As soon as my buddy showed me the round, I knew it would be no contest. Soft tipped ammo and it made a perfectly round hole right through at 100 yards. That thing is a true monster.

Very Cool Armor test video Eric !!!!!!!!!!!
Are those tanks in the background real? That's so cool!
I could see game wardens being interested in this; especially in some areas of the state.
They should probably just quit their job of harassment.
They should get ceramic armor not steel.
Knew a guy that lost a cow from Chicago residents playing outdoorsman during deer season. Apparently cattle look a lot like deer to those from the city. The same year when checking in my deer the Game Warden told me about another group of city folk that mistook a VW Bug for a deer. This is a great use for that armor we all have sitting by the gun safe
I'm glad I got a set of their III+ plates like this a few years ago. Would like to get some other plates, and a more streamlined, carrier to set up, but having a Banshee Shellback with these plates definitely has me a lot more comfortable than not having it.

2:22 energy is energy. Thank you for the physics reminder.
Robert Mills , Lol. But a lot more at play here than just “energy”. As I commented elsewhere, speed is one part of the equation, perhaps even the most important part. @@highvelocity6529 Wrong. 😁 Copper and lead core FMJ will zip right through a steel plate when it's fast enough. M193 5.56 is lead core FMJ and it will go right through level 3 steel. Look it up here, there are tons of videos.
high velocity Yeah that’s not right at all. There’s a few videos of solid copper .270 rounds punching through these plates
Makes perfect sense to wear body armor while hunting. There's a lot of people with guns out in a patch of land at once, it's not unreasonable that there would be a risk of taking a stray round or being confused for game.
If you still have this plate around, I think the FMJ ball versions of these calibers would be cool to see.

I always laugh when people call 223/556 rifles “high powered”, I. mean they’re literally a glorified 22. They’re fast, that’s about it.
I guess it's due to its good armor penetrating capabilities and tendency to tumble after hitting the target resulting is terrible injuries :-) If we compare it to standard handgun rounds that's a significant difference. If we compare .223 / 556 to other rifle / intermediate callibers it really pales in signifiance,
Mateusz Fakeman 223/556 is to 7.62x39 what 22lr is to 32 s&w.., Slightly more energy despite the difference in size. But a 22lr is pretty much a pee shooter compared to literally anything else. So the point is that 223/556 (though they are not technically the same) are like a generic starting point with virtually nothing but obscure cartridges underneath it, and everything else being more powerful.. So calling it “high powered” is practically a joke.
@@hellishgrin4604 Let me politely disagree. . 223 or 556 for that matter is an amazing cartridge. As long as we don't talk about hunting medium to large game, 556 is more than adequate to stop any human sized target. You don't really need more energetic cartridges to do it reliably. I would even say that 556 is much more vesatile than 7.62 due to minimal recoil and flat trajectory. It is also miles ahead from any relatively slow hunting cartridge for self defense purposes because it will reliably penetrare any armor up to level 3a.
Mateusz Fakeman Oh, i’m not saying it’s a bad round, just the very weak end of the spectrum of calibers, so “high powered” isn’t exactly fitting.
@@hellishgrin4604 They call basically any intermediate to rifle caliber rifle 'high-powered' and that is because when it is compared to pistols it is indeed 'high-powered'. Police mainly deal with suspects using handguns, Rifles are still rare.
Great video! Anyone else notice he kept calling it level IIIA+ instead of III+? Pretty big difference
You forgot to mention out of a 16” barrel in the m855. Coming out of an 18”+ it would not survive
That is level III not III+, your talking about, the III+ is stronger at close range a 30-06 ap round will go right through this.
