- Here is the first episode of GO EXPLORE !!
My new WebSerie that tells all my Sea and Mountain adventures all year round!
It is in Romania in the Carpathian mountains, that I take you for this first episode.
Paul Pogo Romanian skier contacted me via social networks last year by sending me a dozen photos of these mountains.
The pictures are beautiful, the snow conditions seem incredible, then a sentence:
"Here I am alone or almost alone so if you want to come, I would be happy to make you discover our mountains" Paul Pogo.

Ma nouvelle WebSerie qui raconte l'ensemble de mes aventures Mer et Montagne tout au long de l'année!
C'est en Roumanie dans les montagnes des Carpates, que je vous emmène pour ce premier épisode.
Paul Pogo skieur Roumain me contacte via les réseaux sociaux l'année dernière en m'envoyant une dizaine de photos de ces montagnes.
Les images sont magnifiques, les conditions de neige semblent incroyables, puis une phrase:

Stefan this looks awesome. Where in Romania are they? Where would you recommend for skiing in your country?
@@Shannus the video was recorded in Fagaras Mountains, near Vaiuga peak and those are not popular slopes you've seen so if you want to ride them, you should go there with a local guide. If you want to ride on-piste and off-piste in a beautiful ski resort, i would highly recommend you Sinaia for the great powder and the beautiful view :) take a look: www.sinaiago.ro/go-fly-2
@@skillconq2280 thanks a lot for the tips! Really hopeful I can visit later on in the ski season. I’ve never been to Romania and love exploring new ski areas- the terrain and the snow here looks amazing

Alvaro, are you from Romania? Do you know where this is? Where is best for skiing in your country? :) thanks
HI shane, I"m from Spain, but living in Romania for more than 10 year.s The video is filmed on Fagaras area, Balea Lac 1h drive from Sibiu. this area is only for touring and freeride, if is what you are looking for, probably will be the best option in Romania. By the way, if you are looking for ski lifts areas ans slopes, Fagaras is not the proper option (There is only 1 telepheric an no slope options).
The 2 main ski areas of Romania ar not more than 45 min away between them, and boths close to Brasov, the ski areas ar Poiana Brasov. ( up to 1800m , 750 m vertical drop, and 4 lifts with 45 km aprox.. a good option for ski slopes between trees an just 20 min away forma big town, Brasov. For powder and freeride is not as good option as SINAIA. from. 800-2000 m, a bigger space.. great freeride lines.
A third option would be a nice 6 pax chair on Muntele mic area ( check weski), l for me is the closest area and for freeride the better option in Romania.. Even you will find there Heliski option.. really interesting.. I used it last weekend. find. Heliskiromania

@@avobl hi Alvaro, thanks very much for your reply and for all the information. It would primarily be off piste skiing I’m interested in, hence why this video appealed to me so much! It’s looking unlikely that I’ll be able to ski in France or Italy this season unfortunately so am looking at alternative options. Romania is not somewhere I’ve been before, or even ever really considered for skiing. However the terrain looks fantastic and the snow is not bad here too! Fingers crossed that we’ll be able to travel again later this year
