Yep! It's natural all-purpose soap that is shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent. I've been using it for years.

Same I’ve been using the soap in my hair is turning out great.

This is the only cleansing agent that does not leave residue in my locs. I've tried others for loc shampoos and they all require conditioner after which causes the residue and scum that dull and dry my locs out. With this, I don't even use conditioner and I've been good 20 yrs and counting but I no longer use the peppermint. As I aged and had surgeries etc my scalp doesn't need the peppermint. I use the rose or citrus instead and and it's so good. My locs were at my knees again and I just recently cut them to my low back. I do this every few years. And yes, a little goes a long way. 🎉🎉🎉

As you said, "a little goes a long way " and I think that's what most of the problem is for some people who use it and have bad results. You definitely need to rinse well, which should go without saying.

Yeah I definitely am here because I have residue buildup after using dr. Bronners lavender 😢 so basically I need to dilute it more .

I appreciate this so much! People swear by this stuff and I used it on my last set of locs. I noticed such a difference with this new set. They are much softer. And it’s so strong. I actually caused irritation on my skin!

Dr Bronner’s Castile soap never gave me an issue when I had my first set of loc. Now with my 2nd set I just use African black soap. Both worked wonderfully for me 🤷🏽‍♀️.

Works wonderfully for me. We have a water softener on the house, so that helps. I dilute it well and add some essential oils. My locs love it x two years. I have tried other shampoos, even those made for locs , and I always circle back to this . Everyone is different I guess. People LOVE Trader Joe’s shampoo in the Loc community. My hair gives it the side eye no matter how I use it. And it caused build up on my son’s locs.

I see that people have different experiences with this. For me, it leaves a weird film on my locs and on my skin.

My dear I have no problem with this product. I have been using this product for many years and my locks journey is fine and dandy. What you need to understand that, it is not all proudcts that may not agree with everyone especially those who have locks like yourself.. In small terms what may benifit you or I may not benifit someone else. Wake up and rise qween...

Yea I bought this bc of the loc community, but even with it being very diluted, it stays on my scalp, I dnt think ots good for my very kinky coily(4c-d) I had to stoppp.

This made the hair follicles that naturally shed but are caught in the locs stand out even more. Not with all clients but with two of them. And I'll never chance it again.
