I have three fire departments near me, and all run uncommon color schemes. Even my local fire department had an uncommon colored rescue truck when I was a kid. A white over orange Ford C-Series. They still have an uncommon colored rig in the fleet today. Red over white, a former PGFD engine, which is ex-341 (Violetville).
I've wanted to do this compilation for years but I can't say that I was the first to do it. There are a few similar videos out there. Thanks for watching!
@09:17 That rescue just looks mean!!! From the front end you would think it was a SWAT vehicle. There is a department near me that still runs the old, like matte yellow with red lettering. Mississauga Fire runs a pink breast cancer livery on one of their engines. There is also Six Nations Fire which runs some really cool trucks with indigenous symbols. Other than that, everyone seems to be some combination of red with white or black. My own personal preference is the black over red with gold leaf lettering.
I know these are supposed to be different colors. But I would love to see if you can make a video of Rhode Island fire fighters, and police responding.
I've seen a few photos/videos of black rigs before. A department not too far from here in New Jersey has a black rescue truck. Definitely an interesting choice. Thanks for watching!
These are all uncommon color schemes. That doesn't mean that they can't have some red in them, but any trucks with red also have another more unusual color. Some have blue, some have silver/gray, some have cream, etc. There are no all-red trucks in this video.
Love the random blue rotator dash light in the engine at 22:10. Also cool to see some NY depts running front facing blue lights.
It's becoming increasingly popular. Thanks for watching!
@@LowHudEmergency did NY change their laws? Last I looked only volly POVs were authorized to have front blue lights.
@@literalantifaterrorist4673 No change, just nobody enforces those laws.
@@LowHudEmergency makes sense

My favorite was Tarrytown’s blue Tower Ladder! Thanks for an awesome video!
That's always a stand-out. Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed!
Never seen someone do a compilation like this. Interesting idea!

9:06 what a beast!
3:39 nice air horn and train horn
Seems like the truck at 6:16 can barely get up the hill after having to slow down.
Great compilation of stuff! Thanks for the vid.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!

Anybody notice at 10:30, the ladder rolling coal on the cop car. 😝
I wouldn't consider that "rolling coal"
amazing all the units an great video
Thank you!
Blue looks kinda nice👍🏼
Epic compilation and very nice rigs.
Thank you!
Didn't the tower ladder from Tarrytown have a roof mounted light tower?
No, it has those smaller lights on either side. They might telescope but no true light tower.
Also in this video are two recognizable color schemes to me. White over lime and white over blue.
Wow! Awesome vid!
Thanks!
@ 5:20 what manufacturer is Fairview R3?
Spartan.
Saw a RUclips video of a Canadian company that had all black equipment. Very odd.

White with red stripe runs in three departments near me on their ambulances.
8:51 my favorite Mechanicstown
3:21 how is this uncommon lots of trucks are red a black
It's orange and black....
@@LowHudEmergency oh well guess I’m blind I love orange and black liveries tbh
why were there some red firetrucks?
Lots of fire departments have their fire trucks in different colors
This is uncommon fire truck colors. If you pay attention red is very common
Some may still have red anyway. I wouldn't worry

When I look at overseas news coverage almost all fire apparatus is red or red/white. The unconventional colors seems to be a USA thing.
We have slime green trucks at the fire department that i work
I thought firetrucks should be visible
Lots of these fire trucks come in different colors for example my hometown's fire department's fire trucks are white
