I really like this song and the whole set of songs with the string arrangement. Perfect idea as far as I know by Jason. 'You are Here' is my top UFO album. It brought fresh light to the complete rock scene when it was released. RIP Paul and Andy... Great musicians and nice people left the world behind.
The piano bounces in bliss, the strings sing for joy, the guitar weeps in anguish, the singer soothes the mixture in a profound paradox of grief and great all at the same time.
Sencillamente maravilloso, y viendo éste video de estudio, me transporta a los años 70's, donde cada grupo o banda tenía algo muy especial ¡ CALIDAD MUSICAL!. Felicidades a todos los que suben éste tipo de Música Inolvidable.
a large band unknown to the general public. Phil Mogg is one of rock's greatest voices. we must not forget the great musicians who have contributed to this band like Pete Way, Paul Raymond, Michael Schenker and the others...
been ages since I last listened to this awesome song... oh man how I miss this song.. though the original version is far superior.. this one still kick some ass..
Absolutely mesmerizing!!! Phil's voice has aged better than I would have expected. Sure he doesn't the range he used to, but he really knows how to make the most of what he has... One of my absolute favorite UFO tunes, GREAT STUFF!!
This is the song my husband won me back with. It was our wedding song as well. My husband is the best guitar builder and player in the world...we love you Gary Moore! Sadly, if I had known how real these lyrics would become, I would never have allowed him near my son and I. After twenty years of marriage, on November 10, my husband got drunk and hanged himself. I found him, and I cut him down. I performed CPR forever while firefighter-EMTs argued about whether their truck could make it across my culvert. Sadly, I failed him completely. It was 4 days before the birthday I share with my youngest son. I cry everytime I hear the song, but I offered it to my youngest son today, so he can maybe win the girl of his dreams...and maybe he will create new, happy memories to help him through pain a no one, let alone a child, should ever go through. Thanks UFO, for the song. Still prefer the original version, because that is ours.
Believe , this l song, it has gone deep inside ! I know what you mean,,, right on , thank you for stoping by! the Schenker version is the best for me! but Vinnie Moore did a good job here!
I also love the Schenker version more, but Vinnie is no slouch when it comes to playing the git fiddle, love his early solo stuff.but im just a schenker freak from days ago, many days ago,and i dont think i will ever stop listening to his music, new and old
I remember this song from when I was a kid back in 1980 a friend of mine Dale Hundley would play it on giutar and sing. the strings on the new video are awsome
This lead solo is almost a perfect copy of Schenkers Studio Version of this song. I love it, thanks, woulda loved it better with Michael. Come back to UFO Michael :(
Try Me - The Third Track On UFO's 1977 Album "Lights Out". Phil Mogg: Lead Vocals Michael Schenker: Lead Guitar Paul Raymond: Keyboards Pete Way: Bass Andy Parker: Drums Any performance that I have heard is worth
This, and 5 other studio recordings are on the "Showtime" dvd. Disc 1 is a concert recorded in Wilhelmshaven in 2005, 16 songs. Disc 2 is comprised of the 6 studio recorded songs (Pack it up and go, Try me, Love to love, Slipping away, Cherry, Profession of violence). Also on disc 2 is some bonus stuff, i.e. a couple of documentaries and some interviews. The dvd is region free. Also available on bluray.
Nobody is Schenker but Schenker he is a one off forsure. Chapman and Moore are both criminally underrated and both created their own greatness and brilliance in UFOs history! I will always call UFO the Beatles of Classic Hard Rock one of the greatest bands of all time hands down!!
I like bunny a lot he’s a great player, but his tone just sucks in this compared to mr schenker on the original , use that bridge pickup with a cocked whah pedal,..Rip paul, got my photo and had a nice chat at the Hull gig, 1 week later your gone😥
One of the most beautiful songs ever recorded, regardless of any of the versions or line-ups !
Brilliant live version of this underrated masterpiece. 2005 was the best we've seen of UFO. Moggs voice and Vinnies guitar show the band's maturity.
Фил могг, любим вас, живите дольше, радуйте нас вашими песнями!!!.
I was lucky enough to see them live front row.
One of my all time favs. I keep coming back to hear it. Makes me 16 years old again!
May of 79.
My first concert.

UNFORGETTABLE! !
Probably the greatest song on the planet 🎸😊

Timeless! Mogg has sounded great year after year.
Phil mogg is the man who could really croon
Try me & Love to love It is one of the best ballad rock songs of all time.🤘🤘🤘

this song means a lot to me now and then ...for many reasons ..

Vixen sorry for your loss so sad. I do not know your story not my business but sounds like he failed you and your son.
Such a GREAT band .I saw them with 4 different lead guitar players over decades. Sad it’s over , I do however enjoy Moggs Motel .
I remember having a drinking session with my friends and I sang this song.
Absolutely beautiful 💗
