C-PTSD from repeated relational traumas throughout childhood and teens. Turning to this after having multiple flashbacks in the day. I hope this helps alleviate the alternating turmoil and dissociation just a lil bit. My heart goes out to my fellow survivors. I love y'all like no one loved me. We all deserve love, respect and kindness for struggling. Never ever belittlement or invalidation. No matter how much even those 'related' to us claim we don't deserve. Nope. No human is inherently evil. Do we do evil things? Yes. Here's to recovery

Be kind. No one deserves violence. You don´t have the fault You are not guity You are not a shame.
    Thanks Bre and Flo.

@@kateryna5284 I wish you the best. I live in Argentina (the things aren´t well but we are not on war). I have a neighbour form Ukraine and the last week, she managed to bring her daughter here. I´m doing my best to make that girl safe and sound. I have CPTSD since I can remember and no one deserves to feel like that. Please, tell me if you need anything. Thank you Bre, I came across your video a couple days ago. Due to the trauma suffered in my life I found out having cold hands and feet are due to being constantly in fight & flight high cortisol mode and that I rarely can hear feel my heartbeat as my mind is not focused on the here and now or my body . The first time of following this yoga practice with you , I cried most of the way through , releasing stored trauma . I could also feel my heart beat and I am grateful to be able to tune into my most precious part of my body . Thank you so much , the proof is in the pudding . Here again two days later and feeling relief and calm centred if a little teary again . One Love !

This was amazing. I've read various things about how trauma and ptsd informed yoga can help with trauma recovery and was 50/50 about trying it but decided to give it a go as I start my next stage of recovery. This was the first time that I felt grounded, relaxed and not feel tense and I haven't felt this way in so long!! I'm amazed how much it has affected me and thank you so much for sharing this practice!

I just completed reading the insightful and informative book “The Body Keeps the Score” by Dr Bessel Van Der Kolk. Chapter 16 : Learning to Inhabit Your Body” Yoga, discusses & explores the mind body relationship that can be reestablished though Yoga, Being a written word book, it cannot provide examples and illustrations. Thank you for this wonderful example. Now we need attract “the horse to water” so that the thirsty wounded beast can drink and be refreshed.

Best yoga for PTSD class I've found on here.
The class radiates the energy of your experience. You can tell you found this practice out of necessity.
Your personality and energy support me in my practice. The stillness in between directions for poses is something you don't find that so often in yoga classes online, which I very much appreciated.
    Thank you very much

Bre, I don't know why I forgot about this video, I've commented once already. I've been going through one of the hardest periods in my life the last 6 months or so. I have been stuck in this cycle of over doing everything and then not being able to sleep and recover. My nervous system feels like its always on the fritz. The movements in this video are so simple and subtle yet they have had a profound effect on me every time I've followed along.
The sideline Shavasanah at the end of the video gave me a sense of safety in my own body that was so powerful it made me realize just how much that has been lacking lately. It feels like I just experienced exactly the type of healing you mentioned at the end of the video.
    Thank you sincerely.

Hello, I've suffered from ptsd, for years on and off, it never seems to leave permanently. Just as you think you can relax, it comes back and bites you on the bum.
I did this practice last night. It was nice. I had the best nights sleep I've had in years. This is a great channel. I did Embark last week, and have done a few random videos this week. I start ignite on Monday. I'm looking forward to it.
So thankyou for sharing your knowledge, its been two weeks and I feel great. I'm a Scaffolder in the UK. and its done wonders for all my aches and pains. I think this is something I'll stick with. Again, thankyou.

Thanks a lot Bree, for me as well this came excatly when I needed it - looking into somatic experiencing and trauma healting through movement just now. Still finding it difficult to acknowledge that although my body can do all the asanas in the advanced vinyasa classes, this is not what I am supposed to do to truly transform and heal. Will incorporate this as well
