I heard about this supercharger when you were out with the TrailReacon and others in the States. Awesome mod! And I liked your justification for it where it was really just about getting stock performance back that was lost due to the added modifications to the Jeep that added the weight/gearing.

great vid !! Superchargers are often overlooked when building an offroad rig. the low end torque advantage is bar none the best benefit. i have one in the works also once warranty runs out.

I missed whether you've done an axle upgrade, do you think you'll need to at least upgrade the shafts between the mod-weight and greater HPs?
That looks and sounds amazing. my only concern is, I ordered the front trail camera and therefore I need to keep the plastic mesh grill installed. I notice that you removed yours, is that more so you could really see the supercharger, or was there a clearance issue?
Shawn the trail record sounds sick with the supercharger I'm so jealous, I finally got rid of my Nissan frontier pro 4X it served me well I now proudly own a 2021 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon black and she's gonna be called I think black beast I can't call her the trail record as you already have that name and it sounds great I'm picking her up at the dealership today I told them that I wanted it with AA spray and bedliner atone oatono cover and 35" all terrain tires so they're coming with K02 alternate tires 35" I've wanted a Gladiator since I started watching your videos over a year afor a year ago and now I'm finally gonna be able to make memories with my own Gladiator on Gladiator thank you for all the amazing videos keep him coming!!

I did the Ripp supercharger couple years ago on my modded Jeep. Works really well and pretty happy with its performance. Only down side is city/off road gas mileage went to crap. Highway is about the same or better then before the SC.

Sorry to see you’re using RIPP coil packs. I’ve had nothing but failure after failure from them. Finally went back stock.

What’s up Shaun. As always, cool content. Glad to see that you were able to save the snorkel setup with the Supercharger Install. Ever since I installed my Supercharger It held me back from putting on a Snorkel but thanks to your video you gave me an idea on how to do it. I have the 3.8 so I’m wondering if that cold air canister should adapt the same.
Keep an eye on that snorkel for it to collapse from the vacuum. You'd be amazed at how much air is being pulled through that is now being restricted by the snorkel.

There is a law that says if you boost a jeep and then blow the motor said motor can then only be replaced with a V8
Those RIPP coil packs are iffy. Had them and had some issues with them , seen other RUclipsrs have issues with them, so if you start to get a misfire or anything look there first !

RIPP superchargers are great! RIPP coil packs not so great! Hoping to get a RIPP supercharger soon.
Well if they have the confidence to let me run them for millions of people to see if anything goes wrong, then I think I can take the chance.

In the video, they state that it should bring it to about 380 at the wheel. So compared to stock, 160-180hp boost at the wheel

Seriously, keep your old coil packs or ask RIPP for a couple spares. They have a bad habit of going bad. Speaking from personal experience.

So covering the stock rad with the new intercooler doesn’t effect cooling ?
the air still goes through the intercooler and hits the radiator, so not at all. plus if it were to go down the radiator has its own fan that will kick in
@@vitaminb4869 It doesn't. The air passing through the intercooler into the radiator isn't in contact with the fins for long enough to any effective change in temperature. Near ambient air temp is still hitting the radiator.

You might want to ask Lite Brite what happened to their 3.6L JL (same) engine when they supercharged it. Not good.
They didn't supercharge it. Completely different setup.
