Please longer videos! love watching them, and stinks that it's only once a week. Making them longer means more fun while watching. But keep up the great work absolutely love this channel!
First of all, Sasquatch lives in Oregon and Washington State! Sometimes he goes into Idaho and Montana but never into Canada because his passport expired in 1999!
The reward was worth it. The view did not come to its right in these shots but I know that it was amazing. Great work Adventurers, keep it going and stay safe ✌️
Shaun, I noticed @ 20:24 of this video as you were coming up out of the creek the back of your rig was flexing quite a bit while you were revving up out of the creek... are you concerned about bending the frame from all the weight with the tire carrier bumper. I like your setup. Didn't know if you had noticed that. Great videos!
After a long Monday at work.. I look forward to Shaun's videos.. love watching the Jeep's trek through that beautiful scenery.. ( and when Shaun makes that delicious BACON Often times)👍
Have had to do a bush repair in a stripped lug, used the cloth type gaffa tape on the drum of the winch for the synthetic rope to get some grip. Lay the tail of the rope full width parallel to the drum and tape it down then slowly winch the rope back onto the drum under hand tension only. This got me out of a tricky situation after my winch failed. This was a temporary fix only until we could get home and re tap a new thread into the drum.
There's a cool trick when side winching with the rope forming a trapezoid between front and rear bumpers. If you intentionally get the wheels spinning, breaking traction, it will pull sideways much much easier. Spinning in forward while winching will of course close the loop with you gradually moving forward and spinning in reverse will close the loop with you moving backward in the loop while being pulled sideways.
In 1978 when I was 11 years old me and my 10 year friend rode our Honda Z50's up to the top of Eagle Mountain. We lived in Anmore rode are z50s on the road to the base. This was before Westwood Plateau and Heritage Mountain had houses. Back then we could get to the old Westwood race track.
Shaun, your videos do look like movies. I can’t get enough. Always admire your steering precision and tire placement offroad. Very nicely done. BTW, I noticed in this video that your front tires (specially the driver side) seem to be about 5-7 psi too high based on how they look and how they form on rocks. Maybe it’s because of the new Toyos. Your rear tire pressures however are visibly nicely dialed in. Anyway, hope this helps. You rock!
@The Story Till Now Hey Shaun...your JT looks really good with the most recent mods you’ve done. What rear bumper/tire carrier do you have? Do you have a build list posted anywhere? Thanks for another great video.
@18:30 use a Hi Jack lift+Winch. Lift the front up off the ground, and winch to the side you want until the Jeep falls of the lift. Repeat until you are on the main path way. The do the same for the rear, but use the snatch block trick. easier on the winch line, and a way higher chance for success.
With Ted behind you on that offcamber situation (19min mark), a strap pivot around that tree you used for your winch line on the rear would have been better. Ted's on his brakes, the strap wraps on 1/3 backside of the tree and with tension, will keep your rear axle from sliding down more. Plus the 'curvature' of the strap (the length of strap) from the tree would make your rear pull up onto the snow bank. Once the max length of strap was used from the tree (~45*), Ted could keep tension by moving ever so slightly forward to 'lengthen' the strap as necessary. Moving the flat strap across small surface area of the tree can create bark issues, its no more than wild animals doing same with rubbing their bodies for scratches. Love the rear cap setup. Just need some slide drawers and slide shelves (side doors).
Sean, you mentioned that someone taught you a trick to put the winch rope back on, I broke mine the exact same way, I assume it has an EVO VRS by Warn that your friend has. I have the stock steel bumper so the winch is very tough to get to. I literally put duck tape around the last foot, fed the tape into the spool till it caught and winded it up. I clearly marked my line to make sure I leave a good amount always on. But I'm up for a better way. Thanks!
Ouch (winch retaining screw) when i got my winch 1st thing un spool all the line and put loctite on threads. Because even after tightening screw driving vibrations will loosin the screw almost happend to me. Had a 169 foot winch pull unspooled line seen screw 1/2 out, tightend it spooled min. 6 raps on drum (3 ext. Straps 80ft later)
Shaun what rear bumper/Tire Holder/J Tank setup is that? I been looking for something like that! Also, please don't forget CC when publishing most of the time the wife is sleeping when I watch your vids. AWESOME video!

"Until very recently...pretty much lost access"? 4WDABC, other groups and others (me included) gained keyed gate access back in 2009. I haven't been up since Hydro turned it into a paved road so is there something I'm missing in between then and now? Did Kim have to work his tail off with the golf course, city and Hydro again? I LOVE that rear bumper. I was hoping it wasn't an Expedition One because I know how pricey those are! But I like it more than the JRC swing out bumper because it retains the factory tow hitch, which is beefy and saves my Gladiators ass all the time. Where did you get it?
