Hey guys! If you love my videos, consider grabbing a sticker, t-shirt, hoodie, beer coozie, keytag or other items from our store www.dirtyanddangerous.com - every purchace goes towards bigger and better weekly adventures. Thanks for your support! 😎
I would like to see more about how you cook meals out camping. You show bits and pieces, but not how your kitchens actually work. Eating is the highlight of camping after all. And you guys have special equipment I think?
Thanks for the video adventure. I recall dropping through the snow crust a couple times and doing some winching but lots and LOTS of shoveling to get out. Also dropped through the frozen crust of mud on a skidder landing one fine spring day up bear hunting. Very exciting looking for stumps to anchor the winch line! :) We didn't have traction boards then and now I'd need some pretty stout ones as the 4x4 is a diesel 3/4 ton. We see them on smaller rigs out here and I can see the utility for sure. Thanks and stay well.
FOR PEOPLE WHO CONTINUE TO ASK ABOUT CHAINS: THEY DO NOT HELP IN SNOW OR OFFROAD. Chains were designed to help with traction on icy blacktop. in soft ground, dirt roads: chains will dig huge holes under your vehicle. They wont provide you with more traction than aired-down tires. The larger footprint you have on snow, is the best traction (the same as Snow shoes on a human foot)
@@grenobel They're driving through shallow snow with solid ground underneath. Chains will work great in those conditions. But these conditions are different.
I didn’t know this, and interesting to catch Russian perspective. I got some chains to help me get over a mountain pass once in Oregon, on I5 - it helped. I’d like to see some 3rd party comparative data to get a better feel for benefits of chains - just wish listing
So my next adventure will be taking wife, 3 and 7 yo sons to some off grid car camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We are pumped. Excited to see my boys jump in lake superior and experience what cold water feels like 🥶. Should be an awesome time. Thanks for another fun video. My 3yo says, "Shaun's Jeep is cool". 👍 BTW Jackerys products look awesome and super useful.
Great Video. Next trip we would love to upgrade to a Jackery for the family as we travel Vancouver Island to scout out some abandoned provincial recreation sites to take over and open back up.
Borders and gates and keep off-signs.. welcome to my home in Central Europe. So hard to explore nature your own way without being scared of getting sued. Great vid, as always. 👏👏👏
That river crossing looked crazy fun to try! Did you add any extra skid plates on your build? I have been looking at full belly skid plates but the extra weight might be noticeable.
Those are actually owned cabins the old lifts is roughly 1-2km past that little community then dead ends, the Lions Den ( the bowl) is accessible in the summer and you can drop right down into the glacier but the trucks would be a very very tight dangerous fit as it’s mainly ATV trails back there and 65” width is pushing it in some sections.
You're the expert up there, but from a Rubicon owner in the Virgin Islands I would think tire chains would be part of your arsenal along with track boards. Just curious. Maybe mention it in a future video. Love the channel and miss adventures in the snow.
Great video! My next adventure is going to be from peaks to shore in North Carolina. Taking a five day trip on and off road through the mountains and then on to Cape Lookout to camp for a few days. Jackery if you supply the juice I’ll buy a fridge to give it’s workout😜! Either way Jackery I like your products, price points and will definitely get one sometime this year either from y’all or from my wallet 🤣!
Hey Shaun. That was some deep snow! And all those shoes in that tree!!! Your right,. Creepy. Lol. And you saved the best for last.........the Bacon 😂😂😂😂
Our next adventure will be driving the airplane crash run from Norway MI to Copper Harbor MI. Most off road and camping out in the woods. We would love a Jackery Solar Generator to not only charge up our solar panels but also charge up the iPad mini that has GAIA Maps on it and our cell phones. Cant wait for the adventure!!
Agreed, always good videos but they are becoming redundant going down forest roads with snow to check out something abandoned, grab a quick meal, then head home. Why not talk about some more of your gear. I see you replaced the bedrack. What are your thoughts on the change, any new changes coming?
Have you ever got into a situation where you needed to call outside help such as a tow truck or emergency services? What's your most expensive mistakes you've made?
Next Adventure: Well the adventure right now is what I am gonna build when we get the car home, Russian UAZ Buhanka van, with everything you want in a 4x4, then we are building an off road lifted mini camper, to tow behind it. So my family and I can live in it months on end. I done over 300 successful tours on Greenland's icesheet, but now I have family, and I wanna show them our beautiful world. Have an awesome some day, thanks for great content, yes it is the big battery I am after 😉 cheers

Spring snow...or should we say old snow in May is usually the worst. Way too deep and wet. No, chains only work in dry snow when your tires can reach the ground.
Next trip? I'm hoping to venture up in to Canada if the boarders are open come June. But, if not, I will likely venture to Bend, Oregon and check out their tougher trails down there. I'm right by the Canadian boarder in NE Washington and have been aching to go up to cross a couple bucket list trails off my list in my SAS's Hummer H3 on 37s with front and rear lockers.

Hey Shaun, first off awesome channel. There are tons of people in the overland/off-road YT space and your videos are killer. I've never understood people who do patreon, but honestly you put out quality shit. I would be happy to sign up for a subscription and throw you a few bucks every month bc I definitely get a lot of value from your videos. I was wondering if you're planning to do an updated truck build video to go over the additions s/a swing arm rear bumper and RSI cap etc. I think a build video would be really useful, particularly if you explain the evolution of the build -- what utility did you gain from the modifications that you were lacking from the previous set-up etc. Anyway keep putting out the vids!
