  • Slurpees Lose to King Cobras
    Slurpess fell to the Kong Cobras 10-7 on Tuesday at the Castle Rock Sports Complex.
    King Cobras opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. King Cobras first got on board when Keenan singled, scoring two runs.
    King Cobras added to their early leads in the top of the second inning after Renn stole home, scoring one run.
    Nolan hit a solo home run to left in the bottom of the fourth for the Slurpees.
    Roland stepped on the bump first for the Slurpees. They surrendered three hits and five runs over one inning, striking out three and walking four. Liam P led things off on the hill for the King Cobras. They allowed one hit and one run over one inning, striking out one, and walking one.
    Nolan and Louis each drove in one run for the Slurpees Louis led Slurpees with two hits in three at bats. Logan, Ryan, Louis, and Dominic each stole multiple bases for the Slurpees. Slurpees ran wild on the base paths, piling up 16 bases for the game. Slurpees were sure-handed in the first and didn't commit a single error. Nolan had the most chances in the field with five.
    Keenan and Ke'yani each collected two hits for the King Cobras. Liam and renn each drove in one run for the Cobras. Joseph led King Cobras with two walks. Overall the team had a strong eye at the plate accumulating eight walks for the game. Keenan, Joseph, Chase, Liam, Max, Cameron, and Renn each stole multiple bases for the Cobras. The snakes ran wild on the base paths, piling up 30 stolen bases for the game. King Cobras didn't commit a single error in the field.
    Slurpees will travel to the Fiesta Tortugas for their next game on Thursday.
