I'm currently playing in NJ but I used to play in the Dominican Republic... unfortunately I had to come back. I love playing over there because the talent is amazing.
At around 3 minutes in when one kid hit a homerun the other kid from the other team high fived him with his glove. The first team you guys played has some really good sportsmanship.....love it :)
nice video man, those guys are good!!! I really wish we had that kind of level here in Nicaragua, not to mention the poor conditions we play in. But we still love baseball!!!!
This video was a couple years ago and even then it didn't bother me. The Meteors were ranked tied for #1 and #10 the following year because we work hard and played together as a team. Nothing anybody says could bring us down. Thank you for the comment.
Id rather get drafted but if I go to college it will probably be here in Florida. I've been staying in contact with a couple college coaches and will probably verbally commitment before the year is over if everything goes as planned. I have a few friends up your way and know it had to be hard on you guys with the long winter. Good luck this season.
I wish i could go to just a perfect fame showcase. I get those invites every year but i live no where near any of them. But luckily my team is most likely going to be going to a perfect game tournament next year when i get into 16u. Awesome videos and you are a great player
We beat the East Cobb Astros, finished second at the Elite 32, etc... A lot of what we did in Florida was to get ready for national tournaments. We had to travel out of state to play the best teams in the country and tied for the #1 TBS national ranking.
@WoWNerds697 Our shortstop Andrew David from Ohio. Not a homerun hitter. He struggled at the plate with the Meteors in 2011. Glad you liked the videos. I'll be uploading more from last weeks tournament soon. 1/5/2012
The 2 teams the Meteors played in this video were actually very good. The first team is the plant hs team and the second team was called Space Coast. 2 of the best teams in Florida at the time.
As far as playing travel ball all 14u play on various size fields. This field was 300' which was one of the rare times they played on a smaller field. Most of the tournaments in Florida are played at pro ball parks especially after spring training and center field is 400'
The faster pitchers in this video were about 75-80. I'll be a sophomore this year and recently threw 86 a perfect game tournament and received a letter from UF (gators) and UCF so far. Good luck at the Under Armour and thanks for the comment.
this past season we were all made to use BBCOR bats which are still good bats if you get good ones, like the 5150 is a great bat but the pop off of BESR bats just made my day. Now im using a wood bat for my fall league
@basepadz The player on 3rd base and Jason who hit the homerun were teammates on the 2009 Cal Ripken team from Forest Hills who won the Cal Ripken World Series. Check out the videos.
They do play on bigger fields, this was just 1 tournament. A lot of their tournaments are at spring training complexes which are 330' down the lines and 400' at center.
Jajajajajaj no sean mamones.
Are you referring to the Louisville Slugger exogrid? If so, I never had or seen one dent. Ive had a few crack after extensive use. One of the best things about the Louisville Slugger exogrid is that it's very durable.
The team in red was always the team to beat. The team is gold wasn't bad either. The #33 on that team who was pitching recently verbally committed to UF.
im from Illinois I wish I could live in florida im jealous u guys can play year round im only in 8th grade but I got a scholarship to my highschool, hoping to go to northwestern for college but it cost A LOT. where u going?
It was over 400 with a few games to go but ended up at 342. Couldn't catch a break in my last 3 games. Hit the ball okay but mostly right at people. I did make the 1st team all conference as a freshman which was pretty cool. Where do you play at?
You were #29 you were bombing them out there it's a great video to studie my batting and pitching you are the bomb and same with who ever #15 was he's good to GOOD GAME!! :)
This was just tune-up work for the bigger tournaments. This team was nationally ranked and beat the East Cobb Astros. Were you ever on or part of a team that beat the Astros?
@iSpeedyyy Actually, All D1 and all D2 schools are able of giving out scholarships, the only thing is that D3 can not, but they find a Academic scholarship to give. A D1 School can give out I think 12.5 total scholarships if they are fully funded while a D2 can only give something like 7 or 7.5 a year.
Legendary baseball video, i watched this video when i was 10
Dude me too , legendary
Monster swing at 53 seconds👌
This good of quality in 2011 must have been a top notch camera

4:17 best sportsmanship right there

Same thing happened to me when I hit a dinger
In coopers town everyone gave me a high five when I hit a homer every time. Every infielder except pitcher.
Ya MOTHA Cooperstown fences were like 200
I do that every time someone hit a homerun against us
At around 3 minutes in when one kid hit a homerun the other kid from the other team high fived him with his glove. The first team you guys played has some really good sportsmanship.....love it :)
Dang, your 2nd baseman is good!
Great sportsmanship at 4:17. Look at the third baseman.

Man!! That HR at 9:56 was freakin awesome!
Forgot the score on this game but the scores are on most of the videos. The Meteors were a Florida team. Solid team, thanks.
The Meteors were tied with the Oakley Stringrays from Southern CA.

This year in high school I used the Rawlings velo bbcor. This summer I'm using a Marucci wood bat.
Thanks for the comment and good luck to you this year.

Wow you guys look great! I'm 13 and it's my first year on the big field.
Daelan Mangiafico Good luck.
They actually have some real good players on that team that play for Plant high school in Florida.
I’m going to plant or Jesuit

The bat flip at 10 was vicious
1st base on my travel team and outfield on my high school team.

Kyle Tucker, we played together on the 2009 Ripken team that won the Cal Ripken World Series.

6:37 dramatic catch xD
These guys are lucky, they play year round. Where are you from?
4:01 Nice dinger!
@wasupbreh The video always makes it seem slower. The first kid pitching against the Meteors was throwing about 75mph.
@MrNcfootball Mike Campoamor. Jaleel's #51.
@Giveneg Use a tee 2 times a week working on different pitch locations. If you can, hit into an open field. This will definitely help you.

In this video I was 14 in 8th grade. I recently finished my sophomore year.
We actually had a couple dads measure the field. The HD camera brings the field up close Alex.
Out of all your videos why is this one the most popular?? lol.
+Matt Kalof I wonder the same thing, but have no idea why.
Josh Russo. He played on the 2009 Cal Ripken team with me that won the 2009 Cal Ripken World Series.
0:52 "were dey at doe"
Something Manny Ramirez said. Work hard, have an approach and stick with it. Sometimes it works and most of the time it doesn't.

they made that field look puny like only 200 feet

I'll be there next summer for Perfect game.
This team was nationally ranked. They hit homeruns on any field. No matter where they played.
