1:55 At age 14, Daz Cameron gets a hit off of JB Bukauskas -- both were high draft picks and now top prospects in the Astros organization. Cool to see.
last summer I played 16u and I miss it so much. played a lot of good baseball teams and a lot of good pitchers. We ended up coming in 3rd in the connie mack division (out of over 70 teams) it covers all of Colorado springs and some of Denver.
The Louisiana Tigers won the Elite 32, by far the biggest tournament of the year. The Astros usually don't travel, so they don't always see the best competition. When the Meteors heard the Astros were playing in North Florida to everybody's surprise, (the Astros went there to play in a weak tournament to get a bid for the Elite 32) they went there and beat them 12-6. The Astros like playing at East Cobb with THEIR own umpires.
they have kids from cali and fla, but most all of them now are on the 16U astros this year. i live hear in woodstock, georgia and east cobb is like 15 mins from my house and thats where the majority of the tournaments are instate over the summer.
dude this team could probably beat any team in the country, ive been to these tournaments, these teams can do whatever they want, these teams are the real deal
I didn't play on either team. I played with the Meteors in this tournament. 2 good teams. My dad and I know players from both sides, that's why he took the video.
@18SPHS Mike Cameron's son is on the team. Just so you know, they're not all from Georgia, they recruit players from all over the country and they failed to win the biggest tournaments of 2011.
Hey this is mckay... i appreciate alot of these comments about me. Others not so much! Jason might know i ropped out this year at 87mph in Ft. Myers. The meteors beat the astrosnearly in the season when i pitched. Funny comment sayin 10:30 speed demon why dont you get out there bein as big as me its not easy!
@BaseballPlayer291 I haven't really seen the Astros play that much but I know Lucas has a great arm, hits the ball a ton, has a good attitude, was a TBS all American and has a big time college after him already.
They are 14, we played the East Cobb Astros and their pretty darn good. My team is Team Demarini Georgia. Our team lost to the Georgia Jackets 4 to 2 when the Jackets beat the Astros 15 to 1.
Just did, looks like you guys have a great organization that wins a lot. You guys ever travel to places like East Cobb or Florida for the national tournaments?
The astros is a great team organisation back in the early 2000's tri state arsenals first year as a travel team they beat the astros in the aau national championship that year it was in Virginia beach. Tri state arsenal is still a team to be messed with they whole organisation made a real good name for them selves... Mike trouts aau team
I'm not sure because I only know a couple people. I'm an incoming freshman and some of the kids on the Monarchs just graduated from the high school I'm going into or are going to be seniors.
No, you don't need to be big but you need some power on your team. There are smaller guys playing in the major leagues these days who don't hit a lot of homeruns but make plays and get on base with their speed.
I see. I was pretty off :) We played the 16u Maryland Monarchs summer team and I thought they were playing in something like an East Cobb Tournament for 16u. Do you know how they're doing because I know some people on the team.
holy shit chill guys. i know kids on this team. they are freshman now, that was 14 u ball. here in georgia east cobb flies kids in from the DR and puerto rico to play.
@yakyuukozou81 I'm using Goggle translate and its not working very good. Your replays are not making since. I hope my questions made since to you. Maybe you could reply back in English.
1:55 At age 14, Daz Cameron gets a hit off of JB Bukauskas -- both were high draft picks and now top prospects in the Astros organization. Cool to see.
his dad hit almost 300 homers in the bigs so im not surprised he already had a nice swing at 15
and now cameron plays for the tigers and Bukauskas for the dbacks
The Astros were ranked #1 in the nation after the elite 32 even though they didn't win the tournament.

This is a nationally ranked travel team, not a local park team. They would beat any LLWS team when they were 12.
Easily, I laugh when people try to argue with me on this, to this day.
they have kids from cali and fla, but most all of them now are on the 16U astros this year. i live hear in woodstock, georgia and east cobb is like 15 mins from my house and thats where the majority of the tournaments are instate over the summer.
AZ Blaze 12u we arnt on USSSA website yet because weve been playing Triple Crown Tournaments. But we will start playing USSSA tourneys as 13u.
Georgia Roadrunners are one of the best teams I've seen
dude this team could probably beat any team in the country, ive been to these tournaments, these teams can do whatever they want, these teams are the real deal
Donovan, Matt and Louis are so laid back, great teammates.
That's right. Check out the team USA website. They still have the 14u and 18u teams though.
The Lousiana Tigers have a good program. They won the PCB world series in 09.
great players too. always have fun playing ball, you never know when it will be your last day on the diamond
Ya are little guys just actually went down 2 east cobb last season! Great competition and beautiful fields!
@bbrat1220 Yes, the Elite 32 played at Disney World, Florida.
I didn't play on either team. I played with the Meteors in this tournament. 2 good teams. My dad and I know players from both sides, that's why he took the video.
@1111yankees In 2010 the Meteors were 119-9. This year we played about 80 games.
That’s at the elite 32 in Orlando Florida, I went two years ago and placed 5th out of 40 teams
I didn't even think this was a 14u team, everyone is MLB height! I know this is a late comment but jeez!
@18SPHS Mike Cameron's son is on the team. Just so you know, they're not all from Georgia, they recruit players from all over the country and they failed to win the biggest tournaments of 2011.
The Louisiana Tigers. I'm playing with SWFL this week and I think were playing them Monday in Georgia. Videos in a couple weeks.
@zzzpaincakeszzz If your asking about the Astros, they're an organization that will always have teams.
@austindachickmagnit He plays for East Cobb because they're one of the best organizations around.
I just started playing for East Cobb XD
1 of the best pitchers of my class
@madmikeqb18 If your not already, start a structured long toss program after taking a break from this year. You will definitely add a few mph.
@codgamer126 What player are you referring to? All the players from both teams are good, especially the starting pitchers from both teams.
I haven't seen that team at all in any 16u tournament. By any chance is Reid Leonard or Metz on that team?
A couple from the Astros played on the 14u team. There is no longer a 16u team USA.
One that gets me to baseball games. No seriously I just got my permit and drive my parents Chevy truck once and awhile.
This was a 54/80 tournament at Disney where the Braves spring train. Not there, no way.
This video was right before the bbcor rule.
i played at that field in high school for our spring training trip, nice as hell...
@zzzpaincakeszzz These were 2 of the best teams in the nation last summer at 14u.
@TheVkings21 No, both teams got eliminated before the finals.
I only seen him play 1 time. You really can't see a lot from 1 game, but he's ranked #1 for his class on Perfect Game.
@joegalinski I might video a few 13u games. What # are you for the Astros?
Cool, I used to play with Lucas Herbert, Baily Combs, Dominique Jackson and Darren Miller all Astros. What team are you playing for?
The CF3 is a good bat.
Those Astro uniforms are awesome!
Last summer the Meteors were 14u. I'm 15 now and will play 16u this summer. There's no 15u in Florida.
Holy crap did a lot of the players from this video get drafted or go D1?
Yes, both.
Disney, where the Braves spring train. It is only 330' down the lines.
It is, these teams are stacked.
What's up Dominique. You guys ready for the Florida Flash? See you at Cobb, Jason.
i love east cobb tournaments. so much competition
We went to Marietta Georgia played east Cobb pride and east Cobb astros. Beat em both end up winning perfect game USA
Where are they from? To play the best you got to go to them bro.
@Poopiusthewoopius They are a top ranked team nationally.
Who got clocked at 92. No disrespect but NO WAY did #42. Who are you referring to?
IM 12 and play for a Majors Team in Arizona. I was wondering how far you could it a ball at that age.
i understand. are you going to guest play for the summer or are you going to find a team to stick with?
Just did, looks like you guys have a great organization that wins a lot. You guys ever travel to places like East Cobb or Florida for the national tournaments?
On 0:27 was it 2 outs? because they was all consern on the ump call they forgot the men on 3rd that had scored.
#27 on the Astros reminds me a lot of Todd Frazier (Plate presence wise)
Are you playing summer ball. If so, what team?
They are 14. What are referred to as stacked teams.
how offen do you guys play with the astros and the meteors and who's the best player
@NickLamb12 Thanks
The Astros are an organization that will always exist. Some of the players from this team have moved on and some have moved up.
The astros is a great team organisation back in the early 2000's tri state arsenals first year as a travel team they beat the astros in the aau national championship that year it was in Virginia beach. Tri state arsenal is still a team to be messed with they whole organisation made a real good name for them selves... Mike trouts aau team
It was great playing at Marietta against these guys for perfect game
Have you guys played the Astros yet?
I'm not sure because I only know a couple people. I'm an incoming freshman and some of the kids on the Monarchs just graduated from the high school I'm going into or are going to be seniors.
Most of the players on the Astros had good birthdays. League age 14u but most were 15 in this video.
I think that for a team so professional they should have empires for all bases not just one for the whole infield.
Yeah, still though. What's avg varsity speed in your state? I'm just trying to figure out MN competition to other states
How many ball are these guys gonna roll over
Did the meteors break apart?
@madmikeqb18 They're having tryouts in August?
Is that McKay throwing?? I played you guys a long time ago, you're all great and got the best program in the country
we lost 7-4 i struck out twice but ineed u to give me some tips if u want to?
@RPGsports Aha okay. I'll take your word for it,what number are you on the EC an what position?
@justisdaman League age 14. Most of the players were 15. They didn't win the Elite 32, this tournament.
@joegalinski When do they start?
Yes, Matt is actually going to Georgia with us.
Yes, he's in the video.
No, you don't need to be big but you need some power on your team. There are smaller guys playing in the major leagues these days who don't hit a lot of homeruns but make plays and get on base with their speed.
They'll still play with a few players missing. Not the same team.
I agree, not dissing little league but a good travel team is better because they can recruit players from all over.
@joegalinski What team do you play for?
I see. I was pretty off :)
We played the 16u Maryland Monarchs summer team and I thought they were playing in something like an East Cobb Tournament for 16u. Do you know how they're doing because I know some people on the team.
You guys beat the Astros?
i played for 643 last year and this year im playing for Nelson Baseball Academy 15U
Who is the huskie lefty?
McKay Petita
Wood bats usually break with bad swings. You should have at least 2 maple bats with you at every tournament.
How fast was the Astros pitcher throwing?
Good luck this summer.
What team do you play for?
how hard was mckay throwing then? 85?
Should be around that...how big he is . He could be a good pitcher in the future if he keeps it up.
Wow EC Astros have some pretty bright jerseys. Yellow or whatever color they have is way to bright for me.
Looks like David Wells did a little Shooter McGavin after that first strikeout.
holy shit chill guys. i know kids on this team. they are freshman now, that was 14 u ball. here in georgia east cobb flies kids in from the DR and puerto rico to play.
@yakyuukozou81 I'm using Goggle translate and its not working very good. Your replays are not making since. I hope my questions made since to you. Maybe you could reply back in English.
is that mike cameron over there att first
What is McKay throwing in this game, I see a curve and a fastball anything else
was there a tyler stephenson on this team?
@mrskiki863 I think he's around 85 mph.
who ended up winning that years elite 32?
