Lost Recipe is definitely a buy and back it up for me. I liked it better than the Heart Release, which i also liked. You definitely get the mocha up front. Cheers
Couldn’t agreed with you more. Lost Recipe hits well above its price point and is definitely superior to the Heart. I have a backup of the Lost Recipe and I’m definitely considering getting a back up of the back up.
First thing, I call bullshit on picking “fall” whiskies when your in Arizona lol 😂😂😂. But I loved the video. If you like whiskey, you should like good coffee too, and Starbucks is crap 100%. Funny, as I got more and more into whiskey, I needed better coffee too. Threw out my stupid kuerig and got into beans, brewing coffee, etc. cheers DB
Love the Heart Release and had a sample of the Lost Recipe last night. Very nice and I would pick it up if I can find it. My Costco has not had it yet. 🥃
Have the heart release haven't seen the lost recipe and most likely won't. And cellar aged is not a bottle I'm going to get because of cost. 200 is just to much for a bottle of alcohol no matter how good it is. Just my attitude on it these bottles are getting ridiculously expensive 250 or more for Russell 15 that is crazy.
I feel you there. I definitely have paid 200+ for quite a few bottles and honestly, i get it. Most of them probably werent worth it. I passed on Russell's 15 for this reason. 🤷
Sounded excellent. I too am often underwhelmed by Maker's Nose. Moving past this sounded really good. Your coffee rabbit hole was hilarious! Cheers!
I can agree with that on many of their releases... not this one! This is a chocolate, coffee bomb on the nose!
Makers doesn’t get the flowers it deserves and I feel it’s one of best bottles out there! Even the regular makers is really tasty
@@marcot9065 i completely agree. And they do fun and innovative things.
Heart release is pretty tasty, no lost recipe found yet in michigan .Cheers my friend 🥃👍
I hope you find it!
Despite the thin mouthfeel and short finish this is still one of my top pick ups this year. Those initial flavors are absolutely perfect
@nateap88 i found the finish a bit short too. But i would call this seriously underrated.

The mocha is there and very much appreciated.
Good to hear and bad to know I should have bought 2😂
Dang! You did get 1 though?
@yourdrinkingbuddy Yeah last stop home from our KY trip we hit a Costco! I might just start making long drives to Costcos occasionally 😂.
I described this as a chocolate cherry coffee. Really surprised, especially since I don't care for their stave finishing at all.
100% agree

I think this might be the best makers release ever, that isnt Cellar Aged.
Nice vid thanks 👍🏽
Cheers 🥃
I haven’t had either of those. But do love makers.
I would definitely recommend trying the Lost Recipe at the least.

I love a good cup of coffee. Unfortunately it gives me horrible heart burn. So i only have it every once in a while.

The lost recipe is definitely better than the heart release.
💯
Cheers 🥃
I don't think I've had a bad tasting bottle from Makers.
I completely agree! Especially considering their pricing is fair.
Haven't seen the lost recipe in south carolina. Fingers crossed i find one.
I hope you do!
I had one of the original releases with mocha staves from years ago and the new release is way better, no harsh wood edge.
I really think is seriously underrated.
@@yourdrinkingbuddy agreed, I need a backup
