Only 7 minutes in and I'm already a big fan of you and your content 💕 Subscribed and looking forward to watching the rest of your videos 😊 I feel I will learn a lot from you!
It's beautiful, and I'm glad you get to enjoy it. Yes, Sailor nibs are known for the "feedback," which is the subtle feel of friction on the paper, like a pencil, as you say. I have a Sailor Pro Gear Slim in white and silver, in fine Italic, and a Sunset over the Ocean King of Pen, Broad, which is my favorite nib to write with now, even though is doesn't have much line variation. The way it moves over the paper is almost mysterious. You feel the feedback, but there is no drag. Also, I recommend Sailor's Shikiori Ink, Miruai.
Very pretty pen, what a treat. I have 2 of the 1911’s, I’ve never had a bad start with them even if I haven’t picked them up for weeks. Great pens for not much money. I adore Shikiori Doyou and Chu Shu and have at least one pen inked with those all the time.
Hi- awesome review and helped seal my decision to buy one! Also, the Pro Gear Slim models have 14K nibs (with a few exceptions). Pretty sure, at least according to their website, that this one is 14K. You will find that on the Pro Gear the nibs are larger and the 21K nibs are a bit softer/springier. I'm so glad you love your Sailor. They are by far my favorite pens!
Yes, this one is definitely 14K. There was series that looks very similar that has the 24kSound of Rain, or something like that? I'm using this pen more than any other. I absolutely love it. I can see why they are your favourite!!
An ink syringe is very handy. You can reuse your cartridges and fill them with any ink you want. Brass stoppers are available so you can fill a few for when you travel.
Thank you for reminding me, Bob! I have done that, and it's a great option for sure. It was difficult for me at the time because i had lost feeling in my dominant hand.and the whole ordeal was frustrating and also a comedy of errors 😂. I should try it again! But with so many gorgeous colours in Sailor cartridges, it's really not a big deal for me.
Sealed the deal for me on a Sailor. I love the feeling of writing with a pencil, so I think I would enjoy the feedback of a Sailor. Thanks from a fellow lefty!!
Hi! Lefty here, I love your hand lettering! And that Sailor pen is a dream! I also don't think there's any difference in the lefty nib and I'm a over writer ( opposed to under like you) but I don't turn my paper around, 🤔 I'll have to try it and see if it's more comfortable. I also love love loooove Pelikan pens but I have to say that Pelikans EF nibs require some nib tuning by a professional just because of being lefty but OMG! Writing and drawing with that nib is amazing! Btw those that you have are M200 and there's cartridge one of those they have a letter P that stands for Patronen (cartridge in German) but I don't know if they sell those in US. Well, I love your content! I'm considering to become a member because of your dandelion series I'm bingeing since I found your channel.
Try to turn the paper and let me know! And yes… duh! M200 🤷🏼♀️ I’m not sure how you use a cartridge. Just doesn’t seem possible. But I’d love to see! I’ve never tried the EF Pelikan. Maybe someday! Glad you are here :)
@@kateriewing You don't use a cartridge with the M200, I was just saying that there's the same model but in cartridge option P200. Sorry my english isn't very good 😅 I'm really curious now to turning the pages because I've seen quite a few lefty's doing it on RUclips. I'm happy that there's some lefty content out there like you. Oh! And congrats on finishing your project.
