1. Thanks for the show of these beauties, that otherwise I would not have encountered. Aurora Foil for the win. 2. I'm intrigued that several super-highend pens use Sailor nibs. Though I am a big fan, I know most folks might prefer the smoothness of a Pilot. I guess the giant Pilot can't be bothered with subcontracting work.
Beautiful! The Tamenuri is my favorite. The total (manufacturer's suggested) price of one each of the 16 pens is set at $45,000, but the value depends on the size of one's wallet or one's willingness to carry debt and interest on a credit card. The first set alone -- the inventory all told -- is priced at $278,685!
Like you the blues and the copper colours pop for me but the Radon/broken eggshells is outstanding. You could spend more time twirling and gazing into the latter rather than writing with it.
Gorgeous. The last model with the 8 sided twisted surface…do they line up btw the cap and barrel properly? Looked slightly off unless it wasn’t twisted completely.
@@yourdarkshadow0 Well they would be MORE expensive witha piston, right? What I would love is a giant converter that utilizes all the space inside the barrel.
Using GTA V to illustrate the Palisades is a real chef's kiss moment.
Sometimes a pen comes along that you had no idea you needed. Such is the Hummingbird of Palisades. Sigh. Outstanding.
Thanks to you and Taccia for this. This is the only way I would see these pens. My fav. The Hummingbird.
The GTA reference was incredible. Would love some video game figboot content
You might like my review of the Tactile Turn Vice. The entire thing is GTA themed. 😀
By the time GTA VI comes out I'll have finally gotten myself a good job.
The hummingbird is the most striking, stunning pen I’ve ever seen!!
Thanks so much for sharing
Beautiful pens from a very good company. Glad to see the Urishi artisans are back at work. Love the eggshell and raden , or roden pens.
I love it when a pen is also a beautiful work of art.
We got GTA V in a fountain pen video before we got GTA VI.

Amazing pens. What a variety! Thanks!
That hummingbird! ❤️
Like a trip to an Art Museum. A favorite would be the Tamenuri, if I'm getting the spelling right

the kaga starry night is gorgeous, man alive. Thank you for sharing!
I was sweating it on how you man handled those pens 😅
Why?
@ because they’re expensive pens and they can scratch. What else?
@cdgarcia Urushi pens are incredibly difficult to scratch.
Still $45,000 worth of pens should be treated with more care
The Palisades website doesn't have many of those pens shown. Are they coming or sold out?
I mentioned that during the review. Inventory availability of pens such as these can be a bit fluid.
A cornucopia of delight!
can’t wait to try Taccia sabimidori on your recommendation:)
Starting it off with GTA talk! Awesome!

Everything lines up correctly...it would have bugged me if it didn't. 😁
didn't know sailor still makes 18k nibs; thought they moved to 14 or 21k only
I suppose they still manufacture them for other brands, like with the Cross pens.
@@The_Ossifrage Yeah, I think all the pens they make for other brands are 18k.
And a miserable cheap converter inside.... for those prices at least a very good eye-dropper system ( Opus 88 ).
diminishing returns in expensive pens.. sailors have the same problem
Many of us Sailor fans have decided that converters are preferable.
@@ichirofakename okay, but at least a good converter, well made, not that cheap piece of plastic that costs 50 cents.
@@ichirofakename i love converters, way more than other finicky filling systems, but at this price point... really?
