I really love your monthly video idea, I love listening to you talk and seeing your desk, it's so calming. I look forward to seeing what the next year hold for you xx
I love the idea of connecting authentically and sharing little bits of everything. I enjoy seeing other people's processes and work spaces, hearing about books and getting glimpses of nature. I think I stumbled on your channel a while back after discovering your beautiful art books. I know how hard it can be to fit one more thing into a busy schedule and appreciate your wanting to share and connect. Oh, and I'm so excited about your new studio space, too!
I personally have also settled on one book. i have been entranced by the Hobinichi Hon. I adore the hard cover and love having everything in one journal. Ive started making my own stickers, using a very thin but beautiful sticker paper, which gives me lots of gorgeous colour. I love everything you do , so i dont think you can go wrong Kateri. Us faithful will always follow and new things, will bring a new audience...its all Win Win...
I can't tell you how pleased I am to see your lovely face on RUclips again! I'm so looking forward to new "everything" videos from you. Whatever you wish to talk about, I'm here for it!
Hello! It's so nice to meet you! I just found your channel this morning. I love your Drawing is for Everyone book, and I think your ideas for your channel sound wonderful! 🌸 Art, Nature, books, journaling - it's all good! 😊 I also appreciate the down-to-earth You Tube people and your genuine "this is me", not a production, approach. Looking forward to seeing more! Have a good weekend! 🌞
I have all three of her books, and I have to say her Watercolor Is For Everyone course is really wonderful, and so is the Daily Sketchbook Habit. I thought I couldn't do art until those two courses showed me the joy of attentive drawing and painting.
@@carlaeskelsen Oh, thanks for mentioning those! It looks like we have the Watercolor one at another library branch, so I just requested it, as well as an instructional dvd by her. I'll have to search for the Daily Sketchbook Habit.
So pleased to see you back on RUclips! You’ve been greatly missed! I’m sure that whatever you choose to post on here will be great as our interests are very similar - art, nature, notebooks & pens, knitting, books, tarot…. And your casual, down to earth style definitely does not need any polishing/over-producing. It’s perfect as is. Welcome back and I’m looking forward to future videos!
Hi Kateri! It's so nice to see you again! My first impression the moment I watched was "wow, what a beautiful cozy room with beautiful Autumn nature scenery" - Just be who you are and that's super important. I decorate my room with things I love (anime, notebooks, stationery, washi, inks) and they may be cluttered or a lot, but I don't mind. I do think a RUclips channel's name is key and important for viewership and audience. A name that fits your aesthetic, personality, and is easily ingrained in people's minds helps people to remember you or connect to you. Would love to see your fountain pens and journaling videos again when you are ready to get back into it!
Me, too... the things I love surround me! And thank you about my room. It is heaven to me, but often very messy ;) I am going to make a new pen and in depth notebook video again soon. Thank you!
Your name is on a book which is great art book! I am always looking forward to your videos, you are a real, authentic, original person! Whatever you decide to do, we’ll be here! Happy Thanksgiving!
You are looking in the right place... You make me remember, my first Everything Book was a 3 ring binder filled with different types of papers ... I have to dig it out.
This is my first visit to your channel after I randomly came across your book on Amazon, "Watercolor is for everyone". I had been browsing art books (looking for a gift ) and your book came up on suggestions for that genre of my search. I am reading the sample/introduction pages now and really love your style of writing... and what you have to say resonates strongly with me. I am writing this comment having only watched 10 minutes of this video.... because I felt drawn to your honesty, authenticity, openness and just plain down to earth being real 😊 I shall continue watching the rest of it now.... It is great to have found you and all I can say is... Carry on being you ! Wishing you all the best for 2025 and joy and contentment in whatever you decide to do 🌸🌸🌸 Sheila (UK)
I am sooooo happy to see you again. 😊 I LOVED your notebook and system breakdown videos and have been wondering for a long time what you were using nowadays. So this was a GREAT update vid for me. ❤💯😍👍
I'm so glad! I am going to do one that is more in depth soon. And then try the monthly thing, with maybe a few others scattered here and there. Thank you!
I love the idea of a monthly blog that showcases the projects you're working on, your thoughts, etc. I also really enjoy hearing your voice, it's very calming to me. I am one of your followers from Craftsy and your channel was my first subscription. There is something about your authenticity that really resonates with me.
A bit late to the party, but I enjoy your videos. I think it would be a great idea to connect through RUclips. You don't need to start a new channel. It's easy to browse through all your videos to find specific topics. I like the simplicity of one channel. I also use one notebook for most of my writing. I use my Hobonichi for planning and random thoughts. I love my MD notebooks for just writing. I love how you set up your new book but that's too much for me. I would never keep it up. I don't know, maybe I'll try for next year. :)
Hi Kateri, you currently have 11K subscribers and your YT channel is your name, just as you thought (just telling what we see on our end). If I were in your position I would NOT make a new channel because then you will have to start all over with subscriptions and it may be hard for new people to find you - you'd have to train the algorithm again. You could rename this channel without losing your subscribers though. I love your videos as they are. In fact, I like watching channels that are NOT produced as you point out. I am a bit isolated and enjoy feeling like I am spending time with a dear friend when I watch youtube, not TV. I love your soothing voice, and gentle presence, and appreciate how you allow me to slow down with you...then the magic of inspiration always flows. So, thank you for being that wonderful vessel of beauty. That said, I will watch your videos no matter what, I'm here for whatever you decide.
Thank you so much. I know just what you mean... the channels I watch feel like a visit...without a visit. :) I appreciate your thoughts more than you know. Thank you!
Hi Kateri, any new tarot/oracle decks? I love your deck vids. Thanks for sharing your journal ideas. I also look fwd to your book video. Watching your videos and especially listening to your voice is calibrating to me. Thank you.
You know, I’ll have to think about that. I might have one new deck, maybe two, but I’ve really whittled that down to just a handful and I mostly use just three of those! Thank you for your comment though. I’ll add something in December for tarot :)
Love to see you back on RUclips. I get really overwhelmed by Instagram, and I'm still struggling to engage with the patreon website, though I'm still a monthly supporter there. Much love from this still struggling beginner.
I'm watching your craftsy landscape videos. Enjoyable. I'm going to become a Dandelion Patreon. (NZ exchange rate not great). I'd be interested in a monthly snap shot of your creative endeavours 😊 I'm not in to writing a journal but going to start a daily sketchbook habit. Are u into that? PS I think you should keep this channel as I'm sure all your subscribers would be interested in your new style.
Oh yes. My sketchbook is different. I have a class called The Sketchbook Habit on my Teachable school. If you are interested, shoot me an email through my website, kateriewing.com :) SO glad you are here!

Thank you so very much for your comment. It really gives me confidence. xo

Thank you for coming back!

Looking forward to your vlogs and patreon art videos!!!

@@kateriewing I love the Write Left series. There's such a paucity of left handed help for both writing and watercolor.
💖thank you for everything you are and everything you bring to your videos. much love

Ring binders are wonderful. I like to have mine very portable though to fit in my cloth cover. My ring binder was just too big I think. :)
I appreciate authenticity and I always enjoy your videos and teachings. ❤
Thank you so so much! xoxo

Hooray! Thank you :)
I love this idea - it's like spending some time with you, Kateri. So lovely. I look forward to seeing what you create.
If only we really could spend time together. Sigh. Thank you, always, for your presence and friendship from so far away!
