I'm rocking a 12-ish liter Node 202, as of a couple weeks ago. Fits my long GTX 970, around 20°C cooler than when I had it in my Cooler Master Elite 130. Had to purchase an SFX PSU, though, so it wasn't exactly a budget upgrade.
Thanks for all the details. This video is still the best source about the GPU clearance in this case, as Cougar states just 350mm length. Now I'm almost sure that's ok to upgrade to the ZOTAC RTX 4070 Ti Super Trinity Black Edition still using this case. The 2.5 slot width is still a somewhat uncertain measure because of the range of mms that might be considered 2.5. But I bet that fits with no fan at the bottom. So, it's 350mm length, 135mm height and 2.5 slots (about 62mm?) width. Oh, and thank you for not calling the height width as some people do. 😅 Remember, people, if you measure vertically it's height.

It's a different kind of challenge, but very fun, and you get a cute little computer out of it, too!
Great vid! The QBX is a great case, and it was a blast to build in for my SFF rig. I opted for an SFX PSU + ATX->SFX Adapter that resulted in a ton of room in the front of the case.
I bought this case about a year ago. Despite it's size, it's able to snuggly fit my Radeon 580 Strix (Which has a huuuge heat shroud). I highly recommend it.
You can put sa 2.5 inch drive in the optical drive. There's a screw that holds the optical drive bracket. Once removed, there's a slot for a 2.5 inch drive
I was considering this case for an HTPC ITX system I built recently, and the only thing that stopped me from choosing this case was just my limited space below the TV. I went for a Raijintek Metis Plus but this is definitely my next choice if I am building another ITX in the near future.
I've been using this case for a year and it's great. I skipped installing fans at first because the case is perforated all over so cooling isn't a problem. I will install a AIO water cooling unit in the future. Highly recommended.

youngurbangod small cases like these require you to think a little extra when it comes to component purchases. Top-down coolers are more efficient with generous airflow, but will unfortunately heat up small cases quite radically. My MSI Aero GTX1070 comes with a 200MHz Overclock. The GPU is able to maintain that overclock about 10 minutes in full load before clocking down to around stock speed. However, if you have vsync or framerate limiter set. And your GPU has some overhead in the game you are running, the card will be able to boost whenever needed. Worth noting is that the raijintek metis is ridiculously small. I needed a SFX power supply, my MSI Aero only have 1-2mm of space left before hitting the front panel. I had to make cuts in the usb cords from the top-panel in order to make them more flexible and being able to fit the card... so yeah, it's a tight squeeze. but it sure is beautiful once assembled. :)

Great video! I have this case and love it. It's sleek and great looking! It was my first itx case to build in and had a learning curve to it for those not used to building itx. Well worth the price. Only had trouble with getting the right psu. I ended up using a cx 650m from corsair that fit. I recommend sfx psu If it's in your budget for an easier build experience.
The QBX looks like it is a very neat option. I wish this comparison between it, and the ncase had been available a couple weeks ago when i was seriously looking at ordering a QBX. :) I already have a build in an ncase, and i was debating whether i should go with the QBX for my second, more budget oriented sff build (1070 + i5 7500). In the end i ordered another ncase (which btw was $195 plus shipping when i ordered a couple weeks ago), as on paper, it looked to be a fair bit smaller than the QBX. Not so much, when looking at this video. Oh well, i'll probably still be happier with the ncase, just because of the quality. :) The rig is currently sitting in a Lian Li PC-Q35, which is definitely also high quality, but i'm annoyed by it's fairly large size. If i was to build in the QBX, i'd probably still go with an sfx PSU on a cheap adapter bracket, there are some great, cheaper options out there for sfx PSU's these days. I'd also probably stick with a 2.5" drive instead of a 3.5" one, in both instances, mostly because it's not really more expensive, but on the flipside it saves a ton of weight, and the smaller drive makes less noise when spinning up. :) That's my thoughts on it anyway. I do have a question though, that i'm hopingyou, or someone else can answer. I'm struggling a bit with PSU choice, i don't know if i should go with the corsair sf600, or if i can make do with the af450, for the before mentioned 1070 and i5 7500. I know the 450w is more than powerful enough to push the hardware, but the thing is, the rig needs to be dead quiet during idle and minor tasks like video streaming and such, because it's in my bedroom. As my other ncase build houses the sf600, i know that the fan in that one wont spin up during those types of tasks, but i'm unsure if it would on the 450 watt version, just because i'm guessing that it requires less effort to make the fan in the smaller PSU spin up. Any thoughts? Also, i hope to see a lot more SFF stuff from you, found this channel like a few weeks ago, and have been going through most of your content since. :) Love what you're putting out, great work!
Had this for about 6 months and... I'm going back to the Silvetstone SG13BQ since all my components fit perfectly inside it and it's almost half in litres (only 11.5). Wish I can someday buy the DAN4; right now it's too much for my budget! The QBX is great for the budget, looks, and possibilities but too big for me :P
I had this case the reason I changed to the phanteks mini itx is it had limited hdd space and horrible cable management and temps with full fans. oter wise it was a great case for the specs I had and almost identical system exceps psu and cooler
I like your channel because you cover SFF PC ! But for this build I don't get it. Why do you use the top as intake ? Shouldn't the top be exhaust ? You should've use the bottom as intake, side as intake and exhaust on top and rear and this should create positive pressure and save you the problem of dust. Also, at the top of the power supply, the air from the PSU sucks in from the big fan on the side of the PSU and are blow up at the top so if you put an intake fan there it would counter the airflow of the PSU and that's bad.
The lack of budget options from the industry leaders in this form factor is interesting. This size of case has everything the majority of air cooling PC gamers are looking for. Thermaltake's soon to be released Level 20 VT is a case that has caught my eye but it's probably much bigger than this one.
It says max 140 mm long ATX PSU is supported. Well, thats pretty much the smallest ATX PSU length so its really annoying. You got lucky with that Corsair CX450M most are bigger... Cant believe I would need to replace my 620W Seasonic PSU for something worse..
I’ve just bought this case literally 4 days ago. I’m really glad you made this video as I’m fitting the same cpu and gpu. Were your temps with the air cooler or the AIO? Massive thanks for making this video!
An absolutely amazing review. You said that if you removed the second top fan to decrease noise levels, did not reduce performance, did you mean temps? or actual hardware performance.
Optimum Tech okay sweet! The case is on its way to my house right now and I got 2 noctua redux fans (after watching another one of your videos recommending them haha). Thanks for the reply brother!
If it wasn't for the fact that it fits 240mm AIO, but with only one fan, I'd give this case a go. UPDATE: Just watched a video where they used a 240 AIO with both fans. They also used an SFX PSU, so maybe that's why. I'm going to give it a try with my EVGA G3 PSU, and get an SFX PSU if needed.

Shipping is expensive than it's price, might be great if there was new revision.
Nice video! Very detailed and a lot of comparison with very nice cinematic shot😉
Cougar should update this case for 2020
I had this case the reason I changed to the phanteks mini itx is it had limited hdd space and horrible cable management and temps with full fans. oter wise it was a great case for the specs I had and almost identical system exceps psu and cooler
2 years later ... there is no reviews of aliexpress mini itx cases ??
I honestly thinks he's spoiled by other premium cases. Can't blame him though, you really get what you paid for.
@@mrsem6670 aliexpress is not about the price, but the worldwide shipping ...
@@Maisonier I'd say it's t quality. Like I've said, you get what you paid for.
sharkoon qb one is also a good choose.
Underate case ever
Cougar was Topgun, now you're Topgun!
Awesome! My temps were with the Cryorig M9i.
Thanks for the quick reply :)
A thin 15mm noctua fan under the video card should help with a little more breathing room. Nice case though
You also used vardar fans on the other case correct? Quieter in my opinion and better pressure.
Feb of 2020 i just bought 3 of them!!
Wow the thumbnail looks like a HardwareCanucks thumbnail!! 😳😳😳😳👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽
Thanks for the video! this help my decision on my video editing built thanks
pretty nice layout.
An absolutely amazing review. You said that if you removed the second top fan to decrease noise levels, did not reduce performance, did you mean temps? or actual hardware performance.
Thanks for watching! By performance I mean thermal performance.
Optimum Tech okay sweet! The case is on its way to my house right now and I got 2 noctua redux fans (after watching another one of your videos recommending them haha). Thanks for the reply brother!
Beautiful case brilliant video , Nice Job .
I like cases with clean polish front instead of those tacky looking front with acrilyc glasses and meshes and curves...
Where did you put the fan hub? You got 6 fans running, but I don't see it. Did you daisy chain the fans? Most itx mobo's only have 3 fan headers.
i gave up on looking. im just making one now
Probably gonna get this for my first build, before upgrading to the m1 and an sfx psu. Anyways, Goodnight from the same country ;)
Hello Optimum Tech.
What do you thing about Kolink Rocket?
Thank you for your answer.
The nr200 really killed this case
A right angled male to female adaptor would fix the socket orientation problem
If it wasn't for the fact that it fits 240mm AIO, but with only one fan, I'd give this case a go.
UPDATE: Just watched a video where they used a 240 AIO with both fans. They also used an SFX PSU, so maybe that's why. I'm going to give it a try with my EVGA G3 PSU, and get an SFX PSU if needed.
Actually just built a 9900K with the QBX using 280 (yes, A EVGA CLC 280). Removing the side HDD bracket and using a SFX PSU.
I'm quite happy.
would you mind to share the video?

Someone asked for photos of my build, so I said I'll try and post a video about or this weekend. If I do I'll link it here too.
@@jackywong765 here a video I made about my builds both ITX.
it kinda a rushed, unprepared, unscripted and unedited, as I told a few people I'd make one this weekend.

I have a sfx power supply with a tax bracket installed and I can’t get my 240mm aio to fit comfortably in this case without the tubes bending
So... This case only need itx board and that's it, everything else like psu, 3.5 hdd, normal coolers fits in this
i am really tempted to build in this case. i have one limitation though. My gpu is a Asus ROG Strix RTX 2060. Which is a 2.5 slot card. While im pretty sure it will fit in this case, will i still be able to fit some slim fans beneath it ? Asus states that the card has a height of 5cm. love your channle btw.
Could you do a review of the Puli PRIMO P115EA by Phanteks.... really nice aluminum case but a bit taller.
personally which one would you prefer? phanteks evolv shif or cougar gbx?
Thanks for this video. Personnally i prefer sugo sg 07/08 or saving more money for ncase m1..:)
I need something like this for mATX
Cougar should update this case for 2021
19.9L isn't impressive at all. Heck, my tiny MATX case is 16.5L. At $50, I'd go for the Silverstone Sugo SG13. It's only 11.5L, fits ATX PSUs, 265 mm long GPUs (there are 1080 Tis shorter than this), and a 120 mm AIO for your CPU.
The new Louqe ghost s1 looks promising as well :)
Melle Snijder yeah, but costs more than 4 times the price of this.
Can i build a Ryzen 5900x Radeon 6800xt or 6900 system in this case?
dude, fantastic video. thank you
