      Would it be possible for you to use CFD simulations doing design. Maybe you could outsource it to some experts (like FS Dynamics) and use it both for design and marketing, since having one dedicated engineer a powerful server and the software license year round might be a little much 🤷‍♂.

    A very cool case. Attention to detail is amazing. Placing supports in fan deadzones, dedicated cable stuff area's, the bend in the sidepanel and the panel catch system, just very cool. Sadly I'll never be in the market for a mid-tower or full-tower, but I hope it'll be a valid option for many.

    Now that's the type of innovation I like to see, instead of more random angles and more "innovative" ways to obstruct intake fans on an "airflow" case
    Edit: One thing I'd love to see in these tests, is to do a "best possible setup" test. You've run 8 different tests, yet none were with both bottom and side intake (with top and back exhaust), which i found surprising, as that's where I'd imagine the seperation for the gpu would really help, and also (since it's aimed at enthusiasts) is what I'd imagine the most common setup would be.
    Of course that means it's not comparable to a flux pro with 6 fans, but as a consumer, I woudn't mind the extra $ for 10 fans compared to 6 fans on a 200$ case, and that's the layout I'd be most likely to choose.

    after years of watching your videos, your quality has increased so much that I finally decided to subscribe to your channel
    by the way: to improve the cooling performance, you can double the plastic ventilation duct with spacers and add a second layer... the "radiated " (infrared) waste heat then cannot seep through the cover if the lowest side-mounted fan pump its air into the gap as insulation, for this you would have to form an inlet that sends a large part of the sucked-in air in there

    I think we're in a golden age for PC cases. I''ll never forget how underwhelming most cases were circa 2016. Glass boxes with air-starved fans were the norm. In 2024, the sheer number of case designs and airflow configurations is staggering. Frankly, it'd be tough making a decision because there's a lot of really good competition.
    Further, your case reviews are unquestionably the best right now. The effort in 3D animating all of these airflow configurations and their pros and cons is something nobody else is doing and really sets your already very good reviews apart. Love it.

    Big thumbs up on the "standardized in class" approach, the 3 fans were good for entry-level cases but become almost irrelevant with expensive cases like this.
    Also love the airflow animations you've been doing recently. I'm always amazed at how accurate the 3d models are!
    We are in a great period for cases once again, with many interesting new ideas and a lot of smaller brands bringing some heavy hitters.

  • @BeardedFrog
    @BeardedFrog 3 часа назад +1

    Man I hate to make any suggestions/requests at this point given the already extremely high levels of work, attention to detail and methodology you guys do here but I'll toss it out anyway.
    1. You guys always use an air cooler for the CPU. Given both the lowering cost of AIOs and the rising levels of CPU heat loads, it would be nice to see tests with 360MM AIO cooler configurations. It would probably shake up the charts quite a bit (likely for the Torrent especially), and it's something that at this point probably applies to a growing majority of the audience.
    2. Instead of (or in addition to) the "standardised fan test" having a specific set of fans that replace stock fans in the case, include a "fully loaded" configuration. This would be adding fans to everywhere a case has room for them (other than AIO placement spot), _without_ replacing already included stock fans (though allowing for shifting placement of them as needed for optimal AIO location). It's personally what I do, and I think a lot of people do as well when they at least have spare fans already around they can add to their case.
    Either way though, you guys are the gold standard for effort/attention to detail on reviews, and your effort does not go unnoticed or appreciated.

  • @adamshettle5391
    @adamshettle5391 3 часа назад +2

    My reaction to the highly standardized setup, versus more customized setups with narrow peer-to-peer comparisons is something of a goldilocks: configure each case in the manner you would expect the typical buyer of that case to configure it, and include the cost of any non-included fans when doing the comparison.
    If it is a high end case that comes with no fans, buy a similar product tier fan, and use the number that you would expect to be used. Not necessarily a minimum, and not necessarily populating all the fan slots, unless that would be reasonably expected. If it is a budget case that comes with a few fans, then only use those fans.
    For example, with a Phanteks NV case, I would expect all the fan slots to be populated, and be populated with D30's. The case is meant to be a showpiece. How many people buy it without the intention to populate all the fan slots?

    watching a 34 minutes video about a pc case is out of this world, But much respect and love to Stephen, This gentle man takes everything to the max level to make sure we all not taken advantage of. Such a great channel. It's great that someone is wiling to put that much effort in such content and it's admirable. thank you Gamers Nexus you are the best

    SO MANY COLORED ARROWS

    Only GN would go this length for indepth analysis. Thanks Steve!

    This seems a big first step towards something interesting, though I don't know near enough about fluid dynamics for it to be much beyond a gut feeling, doesn't feel like it's there yet, but certainly promising. I am here for the build quality and QoL choices, though, I do love a wheeled side panel, and magnet closure for a pathological tinkerer is pretty appealing. Thanks for the in-depth coverage team!

    Nice to see new design seems like a case that modders will adore.

    Cases's Nexus...By the way I am hoping everyone's getting enough sleep in between CPU benchmarks that you're all doing in the back!

    30:30 70 bucks is rly cheap for a pcie 5.0 riser only and the vertical stuff is cool, so kinda worth it

    I like the VGPU mount case! I like the glass bend on the case panels, and the glass shroud/air flow shield has RGB potential. 2 rear fans are a welcome addition!

    This is such a cool case. Yes, it's yet another fishtank, but it just looks and feels like they really wanted to do something new! Super cool ^-^

    The mechanical design on this case is pretty incredible. Realistically, I don't need a new case, but this one has me reconsidering.

    What they could've done is cut a hole under the GPU so you could turn the PSU around to wick away some of the GPU's exhaust in vertical mode.

    I love the engineering-focused mindset and design philosophy that went into this case. A fan configuration that occurred to me when you brought up the VESA mount might actually resolve the GPU lower exhaust issue when using the standard V-GPU configuration with the redirection panel.
    Let's say someone installed a tablet or secondary screen to the right of the motherboard, or leaves the drive caddies in place, but leaves space for a 120mm or 140mm exhaust fan on the bottom. If the lower 'exhaust' fan on the left side was swapped to intake , it could help direct lower GPU exhaust air to the right and out the side of the case without too directly affecting the air pathways in the upper CPU cooler area.

    Innovation!! Yes! and by goodness they're doing it all so right, i mean sure the special gimmick vgpu doodad didn't work out as one would have hoped but ignoring that, this is absolutely an a+ showing from them. So much attention to detail (though on that subject 29:30 is probably the slickest thing i've seen you do, my god) and shit, even if it doesn't perform as well as a traditional layout, the vgpu and angled fans look freaking cool. That counts for a lot to me, especially if the performance loss isn't super significant.
    This is absolutely what i was hoping to see outta Tryx, i really loved how that thing looked too. Very much looking forward to what both companies do next!

    Not finished watching yet... but I once modded a case with the same design idea, only the GPU was horizontal, not vertical. I basically made a seperate compartment for my then HD7950 dual setup. It worked like a charm. Looking forward to the rest of the review. Back to you Steve...
