    I realize this video is a few years old and thanks for sharing your knowledge. How did you purge any air our of the lines afterwards? You had some good tips like a major one: Make sure the line does not rub the tires etc. :) Thanks

      thanks for the wonderful comment. this is how i purged the lines. The first thing i did was release the handle bars from its clamp. I freed the handle bars first, then i loosened the hose from the nut with a wrench. I just popped the nut loose a little, and let the oil drain from the hose. I didnt fully loosen and remove the nut until all the oil was completely drained. then I removed the nut and hose off the mower. hope that helps

    Where did you find the hoses

      Ok this is what I did. On the handle bars, I released the clamp, then I loosened up the hose a little until all the oil drained out. Once it all drained out, I fully unscrewed the hose off and took it with me to my nearest hose shop. There’s hose shops all around us. Just search google and say, where is the nearest hose shop, and bring the hose with you and they will make you a new one in 5 mins. Here’s the video to show you how I did it ruclips.net/video/VuTGmj1rz9o/видео.html

      @@GreenThumbEngines sweet thanks. How did you purge the system after installing the new ones?

    • @GreenThumbEngines
      @GreenThumbEngines  3 года назад

      @@chrisjr1028 I unlocked the brakes on the handle bars. Then I loosened the hose, and let the oil drain and bleed out. Then I finished taking the hose off once the oil was finally drained. Make sure the first thing you do is unlock the brakes on the handle bars so there’s no tension in the hose lines

    • @GreenThumbEngines
      @GreenThumbEngines  3 года назад +1

      @@chrisjr1028 I think you just have to purge it before you take the hoses off. Not before installing the new ones. You purge it to release the tension in the lines or else there will be a lot of pressure coming out the hose if you don’t release the clamps at the handle bars. After you do that, you just take off old hose and put new one on and fill it back up with oil and that’s it. (I can’t remember, lol but I listed everything in this video I’m sure of it) this video is for me to watch when I need to do it again too

    How difficult are the hoses to unscrew to get off ? Any trick to getting new o-rings seated in female coupler or the 90 elbow at wheel motor base?

    • @GreenThumbEngines
      @GreenThumbEngines  5 лет назад +1

      The hoses were pretty easy, just takes a simple wrench that fits in there. Oil will drain out once you loosen the hose and get it off. I forget if there was pressure in the hose or not, maybe the video here I made noted that or not, but I’m guessing if it did have pressure just put gear in neutral. But it’s real simple. Just take wheels off and one hose at a time. There’s nothing you have to worry about. Very simple taking it off.

      Far as the couplers that the hose bolts to, I’m not sure. I just took the hose off and took it to a hose shop and they made me a new one in 3mins. I didn’t have to change anything on the couplers. I left that on the unit. I just replaced the hose.
