Volvo C30 D4 R-Design | Nürburgring and Driving Impressions

- I am back from my trip to the Nürburgring, and I thought I would give my views on the C30 after driving it on track, and give my driving impressions of the car.
Car:
It's a 2012 Volvo C30 R-Design D4 finished in cosmic white paint. As for mods I have done:
Blacked out headlights with Halo LED DRLs. (Inspired by @emilyshields3667 's C30)
Rhinolip front splitter/front guard, whatever you want to call it.
JR-Wheels SL01 18x8 +40
Goodyear Eagle F1 supersport tires 225/40/18
Lazer front led bar (behind the lower front grille)
Aftermarket R-Design grille emblem
Foliatec GT blue(polestar blue) brake callipers
Plasti-dipped front grille
M-Tec discs (C-hook front and grooved rear) and Brembo Xtra pads.
Camera: Gopro hero 6 black, Garmin Dash Cam
Editing software: Davinci Resolve 18 and Luminar Neo

I’ve been looking at these (manual c30 d4) for quite some time now, though they are pretty hard to find in my opinion. They have either too high of a mileage or are a bad spec, like no r design. I’ve even expanded my search radius from only Germany to the neighboring countries also.
I really want a d4 quite badly since my dad has a 2014 V60 manual with that exact 5cylinder only that it just makes 136hp in the d3 v60. I think it would be awesome if I had sportier more powerful car still with that nice 5 cylinder. :)
You might have already seen the video where I mentioned it, but this is one of only two D4s in all of Norway, so when I saw it up for sale with a manual and R-design I basically threw all caution out the window and went for it 😂 good luck searching! It's so worth it if you find one! Alternatively you can find a D3, which is exactly the same engine as the D4. With a simple remap, you will be making around 200hp! Same probably goes for your dad's D3 if it's the 2.0 5cyl.

Really impressive that you managed to put 25 seconds on the jag, the newer/better tires definitely helped you I think, now I have rewatch that episode haha.

Yeah, that was my main thought too. I feel like tires are really underappreciated in a lot of car communities, but I would literally label myself a tyre nerd😅 Sarcasm, and especially self deteriorating sarcasm is probably my favourite form of expression, which now i think about it doesn't really sound that healthy but who cares about mental health anyway 🙃 it's fun! Better than insulting other people at least :D
@@VinnesAuto Yeah tires a really important, Koenigsegg just retook their 0-400-0 record with the Regera, and most of it were just the Cup 2R which wasn't available back then..
I'm totally with you on that, if you can't make fun of yourself it's not for me haha. I always get things like, don't say that to yourself, you can't😵... I think it's quite positive for the mental health but I'm no doctor.. :D
That is SO relatable! People like: "Don't say that about yourself!" Like, chill, it's called sarcasm 😂
