He's so true about John Robertson. Possibly the most under-respected player of all time in regards to achievement. A truly magnificent footballer. RIP Trevor
The term "legend" is banded about too easily these days but in the case of Trevor Francis that term is apt. You will always be a legend at The City Ground........R.I.P Trevor and condolences's to the Francis family.
What a great story and his respect for his team mates, Cloughie and Taylor whilst so unassuming regarding his major influence and goals for the team. A different type of player then and gone too young.. Thanks Trevor
A true gentleman ,can never be thanked enough by Forest fans for the Malmo goal . Me and my brother's met the European winning Forest squad literally 2 weeks ago unfortunately Trevor was not there.😪😪
Birmingham legend and footballing icon I can still see him hugging AJ crying absolutely loved the club and any club he went to he was loved RIP Trevor and KRO
He changed city under John bond he was our leader and him and Kevin reeves were a great partnership with Denis tueart and Paul power the season of 81/82 was a good time for city fans going to Maine road ..C.T.I.D..1977🏴
I had the pleasure of watching him play for Birmingham for years, the European final may have been his most memorable match, but he played many better matches for us. The best player of his generation, a real genius, in a time when that word is used far too often. Thanks for the memories Trev.
@TheKullzeditz I'm a Forest fan. My Mum is Birmingham City, he was loved there. She met him a few times at a local pub to her and said he was so down to earth and nice to everyone. She even has a single he released about the blues. Sheffield Wednesday fans love him too and rightly so.
Top man Tricky Trev. Really decent guy. Thanks for your time at SWFC and your management and finals you got us to. Gormless directors sacked the guy after we finished 9th in the top division!!!. Look where we are now?
Rest in peace Trevor, you were a class footballer, and I always found your conversation engaging and informative. I always enjoyed your stories about the legendary Brian Clough. Thank you Trevor Francis. Well worth the million.
Even as a Celtic fan I loved it when he came up to Scotland to play for Rangers and was in fact a bit jealous wishing he had signed for Celtic RIP Trevor
We will never forget that goal and that game it made history and few players make history! But I have a sneaking feeling BCFC was the first result he looked for! And of course Sheff Wed was close to his heart..a true football man God bless! From all at NFFC
We Blues fans know we need to share him with the Forest fans. He was amazing at St Andrews and carried us on his back for years I was gutted when left but he also made me a Forest fan as a second team. He will always be a favourite of mine in fact one of my sporting heroes. RIP Trevor and thanks for all the wonderful memories
To be fair. He never mentioned or associated himself with plymouth after he left. He lived just down the road from me in the 60s as a kid. He first came to my attention when he starred in a plymouth schools team that reached the england national schools final. Someone at birmingham city spotted him during the run and the rest is history. Local boys who played against him at the time said that his great strength was his lightning pace and speed off the mark.
I was working in Munich at the time of that match and it’s to my eternal regret that I didn’t go to the game. A couple of my English workmates went and found themselves seated next to the late great James Hunt. RIP Trev.
As a Liverpool supporter i absolutely loved this player i hated him when we played Forrest but what a player i just wished he played for us but Trevor god rest your soul in my eyes you were an amazing person and player R I P
R.I.P Trevor Francis. A true sportsman and a gentleman too. So soft spoken and good to listen to. My family were BCFC fans and Trevor was soo loved! Plus the first £1,000,000 player. Great days. ❤👌⚡️
I understand Trevor's choice for this but I will never forget him at Leicester on the ice when Blues won 6-2. Kenny won the TR7 but Trevor was like a ballet dancer, whilst everybody else were flat on their backs! Then watched it again ON MOTD 'cause I couldn't believe it the first time! RIP Tree or. 😢
RIP Trevor.... one of my favourite players of my youth and a thoroughly decent guy. I always remember seeing him on TV as a manager after Birmingham lost to Liverpool on penalties in the League Cup in 2001 and how heartbroken he was , after losing his third cup final as a manager. Thankfully he enjoyed great success as a player and given a wee bit of luck could have won the World Cup in 1982 , when he was probably at his peak.
Trevor said this about Forest ' we were good with the ball but even better without it'. I don't think many youngsters would quite understand what that meant.
I remember him playing for my team, Man City. We were struggling at the time and it was a pleasure to watch him, he was like a Rolls Royce in a team of Trabants.
I loved Trevor as a colour commentator, he was absolutely excellent. So sad to hear the loss of his wife in '17 and how it affected him and now he's gone at 69. Always gave the impression of being an incredibly nice person and everyone who knew him saying exactly that. Wish I'd seen him play.
RIP Trevor Francis. A rare talent and a true gent.
Rare in what sense?
RIP Trevor ....you made my teenage years on Sat afternoons at St.Andrews...very enjoyable .
He's so true about John Robertson. Possibly the most under-respected player of all time in regards to achievement. A truly magnificent footballer. RIP Trevor
Greatest in Europe for at least 4 years.
god bless him.

Rest in peace to a fabulous footballer Mr Frances. Luckily I’ve had the privilege to watch him play. My deepest condolences to his family & friends 😢
Francis* It's puzzling how you can spell his name wrong when it's literally on the video title.🙄
@@CB-xr1eg not really puzzling, I just didn’t notice that I spelt it wrong.
