One important note to point out: Jewish of Arabia were Arabs, and spoke Arabic.
Unlike the common misconception that they started speaking Arabic after the Islamic conquest.
The concept of Arabs vs Jews is a modern concept that does not reflect the historical fact.

      Some revisionist language here.
True they spoke Arabic but between and amongst themselves they spoke Aramaic and retained Hebrew as a liturgical language.
They were made dhimma and forced to pay the Jizzyeh. Their Arabness was extended to them so long as they paid it and endured humiliation under the pact of Omar.

As an Arab and a follower of unpacked episodes, I find them very just and fair. Any shortcomings might be from searching common sources only, although there are other secondary sources that are more valuable and provide more depth and insight, such as my comment before this reply which is not available in common sources. Unpacked are restricted by time, otherwise, episodes would last for hours. still, they are doing a very Good job.

CORRECTION CORRECTION CORRECTION to the bani quraidha story you almost had it right if for not one missing detail: sa'ad ibn Muadh did not decide to slaughter the Jews out of hatred or tribalism or anything, he JUDGED THE JEWS PUNISHMENT FROM THEIR OWN BOOK, he asked them to read paragraphs from their own book what happens to any Jewish enemy that they conquer so they read to him (Deuteronomy 20) and he told them (this is your punishment from your own book, (that's why they gave up without a fight easily) because they couldn't disobey their own book or ruling. this is the part everyone leaves out on purpose or not. you live by the sword you die by the sword and they respected that, Deuteronomy 20 is as follows for those who didn't know. verses 13 - 14 - 15 is where the heart of the ruling lays
anyone is welcome to reply but I wish for the video to be updated as I see it as an important factor in the ruling by Sa'ad ibn Muadh alone their chosen ally and not prophet Mohummed.
    Deuteronomy 20
20 When you go to war against your enemies and see horses and chariots and an army greater than yours, do not be afraid of them, because the Lord your God, who brought you up out of Egypt, will be with you. 2 When you are about to go into battle, the priest shall come forward and address the army. 3 He shall say: “Hear, Israel: Today you are going into battle against your enemies. Do not be fainthearted or afraid; do not panic or be terrified by them. 4 For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”
5 The officers shall say to the army: “Has anyone built a new house and not yet begun to live in it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else may begin to live in it. 6 Has anyone planted a vineyard and not begun to enjoy it? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else enjoy it. 7 Has anyone become pledged to a woman and not married her? Let him go home, or he may die in battle and someone else marry her.” 8 Then the officers shall add, “Is anyone afraid or fainthearted? Let him go home so that his fellow soldiers will not become disheartened too.” 9 When the officers have finished speaking to the army, they shall appoint commanders over it.
10 When you march up to attack a city, make its people an offer of peace. 11 If they accept and open their gates, all the people in it shall be subject to forced labor and shall work for you. 12 If they refuse to make peace and they engage you in battle, lay siege to that city.
13 When the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it. 14 As for the women, the children, the livestock and everything else in the city, you may take these as plunder for yourselves. And you may use the plunder the Lord your God gives you from your enemies. 15 This is how you are to treat all the cities that are at a distance from you and do not belong to the nations nearby.
16 However, in the cities of the nations the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, do not leave alive anything that breathes. 17 Completely destroy[a] them-the Hittites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites-as the Lord your God has commanded you. 18 Otherwise, they will teach you to follow all the detestable things they do in worshiping their gods, and you will sin against the Lord your God.
19 When you lay siege to a city for a long time, fighting against it to capture it, do not destroy its trees by putting an ax to them, because you can eat their fruit. Do not cut them down. Are the trees people, that you should besiege them?[b] 20 However, you may cut down trees that you know are not fruit trees and use them to build siege works until the city at war with you falls.
    thank you

@@thecritiquer9407 I think what God was thinking when He made Islam is that its a faith meant to be given to lost people so they may be saved, much like the faiths that preceded it. The fact that no major Christian Apostles during their 'peak' in the 1st century(such as James, Paul etc.) spread the Good News to Arabia(possibly because God didn't intend them to) as well as Jews not necessarily being the most 'preaching-to-pagans-oriented' faith, meant that God had to make a way for the largely pagan Arabia, thus to them, Islam was given. In this case, it wouldn't really matter even if the Quran copy pastes other previous books; as long as they are saved by turning to God(which Islam managed to achieve). Also, I think the very fact that their religion refers to previous faiths, is even what ties the 3 together as opposed to each just teaching their own agenda. Take the passage in Genesis 21:17-21 where Ishmael(ancestor of Muhammad & Arabs) is blessed and told he will have a great nation. In other words, a section where the Bible alludes to Arabs. So I believe this cycle of one faith being proved by another is what validates all of them as the different ways we can approach God.

@@Vitobandito434 This is such a misinformed answer. We recognise that Jesus PBUH was a jew, as was Moses PBUH, and many other prophets were ethnically from Bani Israel (The Children of Israel i.e Jews). We don't deny this. We also don't deny that our faith is linked with Judaism and Christianity, because both Judaism and Christianity was revealed by the same God. The ones that today Jews and Muslims believe in (not Christians).
We don't deny any of our prophets were not from Bani Israel. We have many stories in our Qur'an about bani Israel and their story and prophets.
Judaism at one point, was the truth monotheistic faith, but where muslims differ is we believe Judaism was corrupted, hence why the same God revealed Islam as the final message of monotheism. Pure to it's meaning.
And FYI, Jesus, Abraham, Moses, and all other prophets were Muslims. We say this because linguistically, a Muslim means 'One Who Submits His Will to God'.
If you deny that Abraham, Moses or any other Prophet didn't submit to the one true monotheistic God whom you call Hashem, YHWH, G-d, whatever, you deny your own religion of Judaism or Christianity.
Islam, and the term muslim, has a certain linguistic meaning. Once you clear your biases and negative stereotypes of whatever cultural baggage the terms hold, you'll realise that all we are are a continuation of pure uncorrupted monotheism that stretched back to Abraham/Avraham/Ibrahami aleyhi Salam

The Jewish settlement in Madina(Yathrib) was in accordance with the Jewish prediction that last Prophet will be born in Madina. They had a belief that last prophet will be born in the progeny of Issac. But on the contrary last Prophet was born in the progeny of Ismael. When Prophet Muhammad PBUH migrated from Mecca to Madina, a new force emerged in the shape of Islam. There was every danger of invasion from Meccan's pagons. So an agreement was made with the Jews of Madina to defend the new state of Madina. But the Jews became part of conspiracy with Meccan's pagans. It was a severe Jewish offence. So Allah commanded to exile the hidden ally of Meccan's pagons. Therefore in accordance with the commandments of Allah, the Jewish tribes were exiled forever from Madina. The State of Madina was cleared from the internal enemy.

The prophet Muhammad pbuh told the Banu Qurayza to pick someone that should give them their punishment. They chose Sa’d ibn Mu’adh al-Ansari who was an ex Jew and an ally with the Banu Qurayza, and agreed that they would follow his ruling.
Al ansari was injured in the war and was on his deathbed as a result. He said that the punishment should be given according to mosaic law for the Jewish Banu Qurayza, so he said that all combatant men should ❌ and all women and children should be captives.
The reason why they were captives is that this was a common theme of ancient warfare as there was no bread winner for the family.
In Islam, captives were treated very well compared to how they were treated under other religions at the time.

You messed up whole story to suit your own wishful dreams. She never informed him that its poisoned, and she was caught after none other than the sheep itself informed him that its poisoned.
"So a Jewess presented him at Khaybar with a roasted sheep which she had poisoned. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ate of it and the people also ate. He then said: Take away your hands (from the food), for it has informed me that it is poisoned. Bishr ibn al-Bara' ibn Ma'rur al-Ansari died. So he (the Prophet) sent for the Jewess (and said to her): What motivated you to do the work you have done? She said: If you were a prophet, it would not harm you; but if you were a king, I should rid the people of you." (Sunan Abi Dawud 4512)
Guess what? Bishr just ate like he did and died immediately, while the Prophet survived and lived almost 3 years after this event, conquered Mecca during that time and most of Arabia had converted to Islam, while the Jewish splendor of Khaybar had never returned.
No matter how much you try harder, the turn of events will never suit your wishful dreams. Keep fabricating more stories lol.

@@faithfulsoldier519 There is also another hadith that Muhammad stated "The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison." (Sahih Al Bukhari 4428). So he kind of accepted he died from that poison. In another hadith Aisha said “The Prophet died lying between my breast and my collarbone. I will never feel bad about anyone having a painful death after what I saw the Prophet suffer.”
So, according to these hadiths, Muhammad probablly waited for to other guy to eat, then when he didn't see any reaction from them he assumed it's okay to eat and start chewing the meat. After he saw the struggle of other guys, he spitted the meat, but poison was already entered his system. Other guys has ate big chunk of the poison, while Muhammad was not. That may be lead to the liver or other organ failure over time and caused slow death. And again according to these hadiths, that was also Muhammad's belief. So Jewess wasn't all wrong.

Despite apparently acting as neutral, yet its very clear that this video is biased. For example, the reason behind each attack on a Jewish tribe is dealt with suspicion with the justification of that ''the earliest biography of Muhammad was written nearly 200 years after he died", yet without these early sources you wouldn't have known those events either. By this logic, we can consider each and every military attack in history as an evil action if we omitted the causes.
In the very same early sources, the treachery of Qurayza had been mentioned in details yet you avoided to mention any of them so that it comes out at the end as a kind of Jewish tragedy, though Sa'd who judged them heavily relied on the Jewish law found in Deuteronomy 20:13-14.

Deuteronomy 20:13-14 what's a command given to the Israelites during a time of war, it wasn't meant to be used as a general Jewish law. I find it hypocritical that people like you justify similar verses in the Quran as contextual during the time of warfare in Muhammad's time but then apply double standards for the similar verses here.

Actually the law found in Deuteronomy 20:13-14 is the most merciful one, which if treachery took place outside of the Promised Land; however if inside, nothing that breath shall live. So everyone must be grateful to Sa'd ibn Mu'adh whom the angels carried his bier for choosing the most merciful biblical punishment for traitors.
Had it been the Prophet who judged, he would've most likely exiled them as he did with Bani Nadir, but Sa'd solely realized that if this happened, another catastrophe for Muslims will happen. As the battle of the Trench would have never taken place if it was not for the schemes of the exiles of Bani Nadir, who offered all their produce in Khaybar to Ghatafan to join the confederates and urged Quraysh to invade Medina along with them, and it was themselves who urged Bani Qurayzah to breach their pact with the Prophet. Thus, Sa'd realized that execution is the only solution, as he learnt from the past.

...During the period from 1941 to 1945, from 415 to 440 thousand Muslim volunteers of the following categories served in the nazi German nazi armed forces (see Table 2):
    - Arabs and Indian Muslims - 5 and 2 thousand, respectively;
    - Muslims - citizens of the Balkan states - about 115-125 thousand;
    - Muslims - citizens of the USSR - about 290-305 thousand people. [229]
This equates to approximately 22-23% of the total strength of foreign volunteer forces and 2.5-2.6% of the total strength of the German armed forces for the period from 1939 to 1945. As for the percentage of Muslim and non-Muslim volunteers in each national category, then it was next. Among Arab volunteers there were 100% of them, among Indians - about 70%, among representatives of the Balkan peoples - about 42%, and among volunteers from citizens of the USSR - about 20%. This number of volunteers could staff an average of 34-35 German infantry divisions or divisional-type formations (see Table 4).
In fact, the following units and formations of the German armed forces were staffed by Muslim volunteers, either entirely or together with German (or other foreign) personnel.
Arab volunteers (about 5 thousand people in total) were part of one regimental-type special forces unit, as well as 5 battalions (either separate or as part of larger units).
Indian Muslim volunteers (about 2 thousand in total) were part of about 10 of the 15 companies of the 950th Indian Motorized Regiment.
Balkan Muslims were distributed as follows:
Albanians (about 60-65 thousand people in total) were part of 4 rifle regiments, 4 “fascist” police battalions and 3 territorial police regiments. Subsequently, most of these units were disbanded, and their personnel went to staff the 21st Albanian SS Division “Skan-derbeg”.
Bosnian Muslims (about 55-60 thousand people in total) initially served either in the armed forces of the Independent State of Croatia or were part of the local Croat-Muslim militia (regiment/brigade). Subsequently, all these units were disbanded, and their personnel went to staff two Bosnian SS divisions: the 13th “Handschar” and the 23rd “Kama”. In addition, one battalion of Bosnian Muslims operated on the Eastern Front as part of the Croatian Legion from 1941 to 1943.
And finally, the largest category - Soviet Muslims - manned the following units and formations:
Volunteers from the republics of Central Asia and Kazakhstan (“Turkestanis”) (about 180 thousand people in total) were part of 26 reinforced field, reserve, labor and utility battalions; 111 marching, economic, sapper, railway and road construction companies; 303rd Infantry Regiment, 162nd Turkic Infantry Division; and one battle group (regiment) of the East Turkic SS unit.
North Caucasian volunteers (about 28-30 thousand people in total) were part of 9 reinforced field battalions; one battalion of the Highlander special forces unit; 3 sapper, railway and road construction companies; 2 serf regiments; 1st battle group of the Caucasian SS unit; and a separate Sonderkommando "Shamil", which consisted of three groups up to a platoon strength.
Azerbaijani volunteers (about 25-35 thousand people in total) were part of 15 reinforced field battalions; 1 battalion of the Special Forces "Highlander"; 21 marching, construction and economic companies; 314th Infantry Regiment, 162nd Turkic Infantry Division; and 1 battle group of the Caucasian SS unit. [231]
Volga-Tatar volunteers (about 40 thousand people in total) were part of 7 reinforced field battalions; 15 economic, sapper, railway and road construction companies; and 1 battle group of the East Turkic SS unit.
Crimean Tatar volunteers (about 15-20 thousand people in total) were part of 14 self-defense companies; 8 battalions of auxiliary order police; 1 mountain ranger regiment (then brigade); 1st battle group of the Eastern Turkic SS unit; and also - as “voluntary assistants” - the 35th SS Police Grenadier Division.

At the time of Mohamed the Arabian peninsula was largely settled by Jewish and Christian populations, living in their own towns, and Mohamed was aware that his audience is about half Jewish and half Christian, and he tried to appeal to familiar themes for both groups. Hence Islam and the Quran is very similar to Judaism and Christianity, with some curious differences, such as in Islam Mary Magdelene is also a full fledged disciple of Jesus and a prophet. European scholars for a long time argued that these differences are due to Mohamed misinterpreting the bible, but in fact Islam put women on equal footing with men in these matters. Also the story of Joseph and Potifar appears in the Quran, in a slightly different, more feminine inspired erotic interpretation. My favorite tradition about Mohamed is that once he woke up in morning and noticed that a cat was sleeping on his robes, he rather cut off his robes than disturbing the cat.

To damage what a Westerner regards as a symbol is, in this way of thinking, to literally attack the divine. In Islam, which means 'submission', the Koran is not a symbol but an actual embodiment of the holy. To me, Islam is in many regards both loathsome and dangerous. It denigrates women to an extraordinary degree, urges hatred and destruction of those who do not submit, and allows for child marriage. The prophet Muhammad, who is regarded as the model for humanity, was a slave trader, warlord, and in modern terms a paedophile. This video missed things:
    - Muhammad (peace be upon him) was followed by riders on his way to Yathrib; who were told they be given 1000 camels if they will kill Muhammad.
    - The biggest tribes of Yathrib were Aws and Khazraj. Their leaders when met Muhammad in Makkah, they accepted Islam and invited him and fellow Muslims to migrate to Yathrib considering Muslims in Mecca were being punished by the elites.
    - Tribes of Aws and Khazraj were given name 'Ansar' (supporters) and those who migrated from Makkah were called 'Muhajireen' (migrants).
    - This was not the first migration for Muslims. They had previously migrated to Habasha, an African country which was being ruled by a Christian King. He gave refugee to Muslims.
    - Jewish tribes settled in Yathrib because the old testament mentions that the next prophet will come in the land of date trees. They thought that if they will get settled here, God will bless them with a prophet.
Moreover, fifth book of Torah: Book of Deuteronomy mentions (2): "The Lord came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand there was flashing lightning for them."
Mount Paran is where Abraham left Hajar and Ishamael at God's order. This is the place Muslims beleive is Makkah and the Mount Paran is old name of Mount Hira.
Read about Abdallah ibn Salam (original name: Al-Husayn ibn Salam) who was a highly respected Jewish Rabbi living in Yathrib, who converted to Islam when he came to know about Prophet Muhammad and he linked him with the awaited Prophet mentioned in Torah.

To simplify it, as muslim what i know is that the proohet came to guide people to worship and devote to the real creator who created everything as no one did and will ever, but many disbelieved the rights of creator to be worshipped and practiced injustice, jews were among who fight against the prophet as they did with many propets before including the messiah son of mary, they also fight against, jews consider the prophethood as inheritance but it is God gift as we believe. So we should search for true messengers who realy received messages to guide us through the right path

Yathriba (Madina) didnt invite him, he just immigrated to it after Macca tribes ( Including His tribe ) put him through trouble , before he even immigrated to Madina he sent his sahaba ( followers /companions ) to east africa (modern day. Eriteria , somalia , Ethoipia) , that is why people say islam reached east africa before Madina and other Arab Tribes and it was the Forst immigration for islam and heading to the safety .
As muslim east african this is what i am proud of as my people hosted and learned about great religion of islam before most of the world .
The torah something very clear about the truthness of muhammed and his religion but the most educated Jews followed him and accepted the religion , the other ones started to attack the Prophet even after contracts of peace deals between them and him .
Publicly humiliating the muslim girl was the biggest catalyst to this war , not only this but even there is big war that happened after somepeople harassed muslim girl , so at least muslim girls have better rights in the medieval era.

Islam was not complete when his sahabas emigrated to Eriteria , somalia , Ethoipia. Example, majority of the Quran revelations took place at Madina.
Earlier Muslims used to pray facing Jerusalem.
Teachings of Torah is diagonally opposite to what Mohammad taught in Quran. The word Torah doesn't appear anywhere in Hebrew bible but in Quran. This is because the TORAH is a man made name used to identify the Mosaic laws and commandments.
Torah and Bible (Old and new testament) is based on 10 commandments of MOSES. It is the foundation of these laws.
Mohammad and Quran broke all of them. Hence, islam is not from GOD.

No one, not even historians and religious scholars, ever thought about why Muhammad's tribe was not idolatrous. Not even one of them, Mecca and Medina, or the current Yathrib and Yemen, where the Queen of Sheba also lived, had most of the small and large Jewish tribes. The Bani Hashim is slightly different in pronunciation from Arabic and Hebrew, but not in its meaning. What is the name of God in Hebrew? Why were the first victims of Muhammad's religion the Jews? Don't you think this was a settlement of accounts within a tribe or between two tribes? Don't you think the reason for the massacre of the Jews in Mecca and Yathrib was because they were aware of the facts about Muhammad, his tribe, and even his religion. In the first step of his religion, Muhammad started a war with the Jews that continues to this day. According to a book that was a crime to own and read in Iran, I had read about one of the exiled ministers of the Sasanian Empire named Roozbeh Roozbehan, whom Muslims know as Salman Farsi (the name of the book is Salman Farsi, the Great Traitor to the Persian Empire). It was he who suggested to Muhammad to create a new religion and even told him the whole story of the lives of the prophets before him and even taught him. There are many reasons, one of which is the name of Muhammad's father, Abd Allah.

@@Alif-u8b9j Its faith that matter bro, and today all Palestinians believe in David to be a prophet of God, something which most Jews don't believe in it and simply treat him as a king.

Well said. What i would like to add is that the trouble within Yathrib(Medina) preceded the Prophet. For one, Jewish laws & history were admired by their fellow neighbors. Which is the main reason the Arab tribes of Yathrib invited Muhammad, so they could finally have their own form of Monotheism religion. The jews , with their own power and that of their alliances , could have neutralized the Prophet at the beginning. But choice not to because didn't realize the nationalistic appeal Islam will have on Yathrib Arabic tribes .

Hey "Unpacked"? Why do you show the Magen David (מָגֵן דָּוִד)? It's anachronistic to show it used in the sixth century CE.

I agree with his last statement - you don't have to look far, look at your own relationship with family and friends- it's the same- blood will have internal fights- I love Jewish and Christians and all gods children- I hate evil that kills and murders in the name of God.

After the Jews' negotiations with Muhammad were rejected, there were only two options: convert to Islam or execution.
Muhammad appointed Sa'd ibn Mu'adh as the judge to decide the sentence. Despite being wounded and near death, he challenged Jewish representatives to debate whether they should embrace Islam to save their lives, families, and property.
The Jews refused to believe in the Prophet of the Arabs, citing their status as 'God's chosen people.'
Sa'd ibn Mu'adh responded, "Does this mean you prefer to die and live in Hell forever?"
The Jews argued that they were the only ones created with a soul, unlike other creatures. "Our death is the path to Paradise."
Finally, they decided to be executed.
