The most iconic and important player in the history of Birmingham City Football Club. This one hurts, if only we won that trophy in 2001 against Liverpool. I hope one of the stands is named after him in his honour. R.I.P. to the first £1m man in English football. KRO.
Trevor lived just down the road from me in Pennycross Plymouth, his sister Caroline was a year older than me , Trevor was a true gentleman and a very homely good man , he always came back to Plymouth and visit his mum and dad in his White XJS Jaguar with his family. a great man indeed who always loved his home city although he never played for Argyle at a pro l level due to being a world class player all his footballing career . RIP Trevor a true legend that will forever be remembered forever.
I was there on Tilton Road end when Trevor played this first games for Birmingham City. A really great player and prolific goal scorer in those days. Trevor will always be a hero in the Birmingham fans minds. RIP Trevor.
I don't know if you you remember John connelly on the right for us at villa Park and we went on too to beat the villa 5 games on the trot and tf scored with a sliding tackle to be their at the right time on a soggy and wet Saturday afternoon at St Andrews.
I remember Trevor Francis as a young player for Birmingham, running from the half way line beating most of my team, Bristol City, and scoring the winner! A great, great player and very sad news!
What a legend! I was at school still when he managed Birmingham in division 1 and he gave me some great memories. Wish I got to see him play in the flesh, the highlights of him are insane. What a player!
From a Wolves fan one of the very very best strikers I've seen a true talent indeed at every club he represented will be forever remembered by Blues especially & rightly so ....
I was privileged to witness the wonderful skills of Trevor for my beloved Birmingham City. So many memories of Trevor destroying defences. To experience the graceful lightning skills of Trevor was a kind of magic. May you rest in peace Trevor. KRO, Mr Blue Sky.
Bob Latchford came to see blues train and Trevor played in the practice game. Blues were at the top end of the table then. Trevor was 44 then according to Bob. After a while Bob whispered in one of coach's ear 'He the best player on the pitch'. The coach answered back. 'I know'.
A truly sorrowful day for the SWFC family with the sad passing of Tricky Trev and the Bartman. May they both Rest In Peace and thanks for the memories. W.A.W.A.W.
OHHHHH!!! my god!!! I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Trevor Francis. A magnificent player. May he RIP. My condolences to his family and friends.
My brother in 1983 had a baby. If she was a he, my brother would have called him TREVOR. We are a family of Sampdoria fans, here in Genova, Italia 🤗 💙🤍♥️🖤🤍💙 Love to him and his family!
I am a Birmingham fan now in Liguria and a Doria fan. I have written to Sampdoria in the hope they will pay tribute to TG and I suggested a game between the 2 sides. Perhaps you could also suggest this and raise support for the idea. Thanks TF forever💙
Hello there Trevor Francis was a leaged at Nottingham forest he was one of my heroes I grow up with Trevor Francis at Nottingham forest it is a very very sad day rest in peace my hero I hope you go to heaven to join brain from Rachel
I know my comment is 9 months late but I just want to say Brian Clough sold Trevor Francis too soon..he could have gone on to greater things at Nottingham Forest no disrespect to Birmingham City Trevor's first club..as all Forest fans all know after Forest retained the European Cup in 1980 Brian Clough broke the team up..a couple of years later Clough had young players in the team Steve Hodge Peter Davenport to name two along some experienced players Ian Bowyer rejoined Forest from Sunderland who went on to captain Forest they done very well Trevor Francis would have loved it Trevor you are truly missed by me and every forest fan in the world R.I.P...
Very good player but well over hyped. Always injured. Never the same when he left Birmingham. Brian Clough was joke, his transfer value was more like 350 000. Here come all the eulogys. He was very good but as I say overrated.
That 'Over hyped player' won Forest a European cup. He was purchased to help Forest achieve that, and he did. Can't put a price on that! Guessing your're a Birmingham fan upset he left. Show some respect ffs.
