I feel terrible for Newcastle fans, as soon as they were bought by wealthy owners, the premier league all of a sudden are doing this, yet Chelsea under Abramovich won by spending unchecked and UTD for years spent unchecked, followed most recently by city
In a case like this, the league is more important than my club, the integrity of the league should not be tarnished, in fact, by protecting the league, we are actually protecting the clubs, and not just the current ones, but also the ones that fight yearly to be promoted to it.. This case is extremely critical, if City should have its way, the entire foundation and legacy of the league will be destroyed, the Premier league would no longer be the most competitive and entertaining league in the world, because every year, there would just be one or two teams winning it, which City has been doing for so long now, so can you imagine if they should allow to spend as they wish? City could have a poor season while the other clubs have their best season yet, and they still end up winning the league.. I think we all know that it's only a matter of time before they regain their form this season, and once they do, who will be able to stop them? If City should win this case, not only the PL will be impacted, but the other divisions.. And the other clubs are agreeing with City are a bunch of headless chickens, because even though they might get the chance to spend as they please by whichever source, they still wouldn't be able to outspend City, they still wouldn't be able to compete with City furthermore to surpass them.. A small club like City is now challenging the PL, how did this happen? 😂.. The league is in danger, that's all i know..
So, let me get this right...other clubs break the rules and are immediately punished. Manchester city dont like it, take the prem to court, then the prem change the rules. City will get away with this.
FFP needs to be rethinked. The whole thing is just protectionism from the red cartel. They should introduce a spend cap that is the same for everyone or make it based on sporting merit and actually make these rules fair!!!
That's what ffp is clubs have to spend within their means the money the club or clubs make they have to spend within that. Say man united made say 500 million they have to spend less of that money if they went over that they get penalized for it.
It is based on sporting merit. These clubs got wealthy off the back of years of success. What the actual cartel of Man City, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Nottingham Forest - owned by despotic oil states, gangsters and other such bad actors - want, is the ability to pump as much dirty money as they like after buying success quickly. They don't care about competition at all. Any ruling against these evil clubs is a win for football.
@@mattieharris3747 That's not what it does at all, if an owner puts the money up, it's within the clubs means, if it was there to protect the clubs, they would stop them borrowing beyond their means, not stop investment.
Both the premier league and City are wrong. The premier league, especially. Give other clubs the chance to grow and compete. Instead of telling each club how much they can spend, create an equal spending for every club, regardless of winnings. You can say, no club can spend above let's say £1m. Now, it's up to individual clubs to decode how much they want to spend as long as it's below the cap. But to tell ome clun they can't spend passed 300million, but another club can spend up to 1 billion, is a fool's games.
@lawrenceottih No offence but tha doesn't work, A spending cap will just benefit the Richest clubs again because they will be able to constantly spend the cap limit and those less fortunate won't be able to spend that much constantly, So you still end up in the same situation just more drawn out and with more clubs probably spending what they don't have trying to cling on then having to offload more players at a loss when they don't reach needed goals to get money back
@stuartgolby9767 The real truth is, there are no poor clubs in the premier league. Rather, there are clubs with greedy owners. Some of these clubs are less ambitious. As long as they remain in the premier league, they are fine. Arsenal, for example, was one club that wouldn't put effort to win a clup during Arsene Winger's time. Instead, they only chased champion's league spot. If those small clubs want to spend up to 500m and 1b, they will. They can rack in sponsorships, but they don't want to share whatever small benefits they get. That's the problem. City, on the other hand, is an ambitious club. The owners care about legacy. So they invest into achieving that goal. Name me one English premier league club that isn't owned by a billionaire or multimillionaire.
@lawrenceottih I didn't say clubs don't have rich owners, But that doesn't change the fact that a club that is state owned would be able to financially cripple anyone else even with the cap you suggested making what you suggested asinine at best, You can dress it up as much as you like but obviously a state owned club would be able to constantly spend more than a millionaire owned club, Simple maths mate 😉
Wait so City want to prevent the owners from injecting money directly to their clubs, but having extremely inflated sponsorship deal from an owner associated company is totally fine?
liverpool are currently top of the super league. 32 teams. just look at that table. uefa have already created a super league. theres absolutely no need for one new one anymore.

Do you even know what APT rules are? If there are no APT rules Newcastle will win the premier league for 100 years in a row. Then that becomes competitive ryt? Newcastle owner are richer then all premier league owners combined. They are other ways to pump money into a club that FFP can't affect. stadium and training ground revenue. Ok Imagine if the Qataris own Man united what do you think will happen then football will be dead then. Man Utd and Arsenal are also clubs that benefit from oil money. This is a hasty generalisation fallacy.
@JJSpence15 Arsenal are the only club that has abide by ffp. That's why they built the stadium which made them have to sell all their beat players around 2006 and they couldn't sign big player till ozil in 2013

Without Man City, the Prem would run the league like a 711 changing rules as they go 😂
I feel terrible for Newcastle fans, as soon as they were bought by wealthy owners, the premier league all of a sudden are doing this, yet Chelsea under Abramovich won by spending unchecked and UTD for years spent unchecked, followed most recently by city
They can still push on with big budget spending… just a little bit slower.
@adam_p99 true, but every season they wait, is another opportunity lost
Utd spent but they earned more than what they spent in the years before ffp
Owner money isnt the problem!
Its qatr sponsor,
Like our half london is burned by qatri and sudi, , , ETIHAD ECT
United have always spent what we earned.
The Prem didn't win.
The Cartel did.
I think it would be fair to slap on a £400 million fine and demote them to championship and deduct 115 points.
That seems fair!
What about Bayern Munich winning for 11 consecutive times?
Another virtue signaller pretending he has morals 🥱
So, let me get this right...other clubs break the rules and are immediately punished. Manchester city dont like it, take the prem to court, then the prem change the rules. City will get away with this.
FINALLY!
They should be shut down. Abide by the rules or leave.
So City Everton and Forrest voted against who was the over team 🫣
I would love to see Pep train a non-league team for 2 years.
Fraud only manages teams that already dominate and cheat in their leagues.
Kaveh trying hard to not explain what he’s trying to explain.
It reeks of the big boys pulling the ladder up behind them
@conallfarquhar8069 Obviously that's not what FFP is, FFP is there to protect the establishment, nothing to do with being fair.
@@mattieharris3747 That's not what it does at all, if an owner puts the money up, it's within the clubs means, if it was there to protect the clubs, they would stop them borrowing beyond their means, not stop investment.

They cant, its over for them in this case.
Man city arguing for “fair market value” when none of their sponsorships are 😂🤦🏽♂️
Both the premier league and City are wrong.
@lawrenceottih I didn't say clubs don't have rich owners, But that doesn't change the fact that a club that is state owned would be able to financially cripple anyone else even with the cap you suggested making what you suggested asinine at best, You can dress it up as much as you like but obviously a state owned club would be able to constantly spend more than a millionaire owned club, Simple maths mate 😉
you guys do incredible work with an absolute nothing-burger
Wait so City want to prevent the owners from injecting money directly to their clubs, but having extremely inflated sponsorship deal from an owner associated company is totally fine?
No they don't care about the loans, they did it to highlight the hypocrisy.
Sky sports ruined the game that we love ,they have a big say in fixtures, there money destroyed premier League
I actually see a Superleague rearing its ugly head again!

theres absolutely no need for one new one anymore.
@NeilLewis77 I agree, in part, but I think the oil rich owners have an idea of what a Superleague is going to look like. Pin this comment, as in five years time the Arab states will own football.
When are they going to desl with their 115 charges?

Do you even know what APT rules are? If there are no APT rules Newcastle will win the premier league for 100 years in a row. Then that becomes competitive ryt? Newcastle owner are richer then all premier league owners combined. They are other ways to pump money into a club that FFP can't affect. stadium and training ground revenue. Ok Imagine if the Qataris own Man united what do you think will happen then football will be dead then. If not City's FFP charges and breaches you think they will win 4 in a row at least we even had Leicester that won the league. Newcastle can sponsor their club for 1 billion a week and pay their least player€10million ala week
