Henry didn’t deserve his kids. He was only ever concerned in preserving his “legacy” with a son and with no regard for his already living daughters.
Tbh it’s laughable to think about it because the son he always longed for ended up being only a footnote in history whilst his daughters went on to be well known. One was known as a queen who tried to bring back England to Christendom. She was called ruthless but still many know her name unlike her brother who is barely acknowledged or known by many.
The other one remembered to be the last great Tudor queen. Reigned longest for quite some time until Queen Victoria took the throne. She’s also able to thwart a Spanish invasion despite being outmatched. Her reign was a golden age after years of strife under her father and siblings. She inherited a bankrupt kingdom but eventually transformed it into a global power worthy of its name

All his Kids where given the best education and regularly (by the time standards) spent time at his court. Most royal kids where sent away and that was the end of it. Most even died without having a concrete memory of them. Henry himself was barely given attention by his father until the death of his older brother, his than then proceeded to keep him isolated.

In what way do you think Mary and Elizabeth could have helped the Tudor line? Even if they both had successful marriages and both had sons, their children's surnames would have been different. Their sons would not have been Tudors by name.
Their paternal grandmother was Elizabeth of York, a Plantagenet, whom Henry Tudor married to solidify his reign as King Henry VII, but did that make Henry VIII a Plantagenet just because his mother was a Plantagenet? No, because the children tend to get their surnames from their dads.
If Mary I was successful in giving birth to any kids, their last name would not have been Tudor. She was married to Philip II of Spain whose dad was the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V. Their surname was Hapsburg and upon Mary I's surviving son (if she would have had any) would have been part of the House of Hapsburg in England rather than a continuation of the Tudor dynasty.

Then again he did changed his treatment toward them. I guess when you think about it. Henry was just trying to fulfill his duty to england. I don't think that really quite loving any of his children. He couldn't let england fall into civil war after all his father had become king during a time of war. He tried so hard to become the king his father desired him to be.

Oh please.... stop womiting that propaganda. Both Elizabeth I and Henry VIII killed way more people and committed more atrocities but it's mary who got the blame because she was the catholic one in a protestant country. Henry killed 57 000 to 70 000 people (2% of England population) in 5-6 decades and Elizabeth about 30 000 in about the same time. Mary about a mere 300 in a decade.

That accident isn’t widely believed to cause it. He was a snap waiting to happen. He himself just watched his fathers rule and all his problems after years and years of civil war. He also watched his older brother died and knew how easily an heir can be replaced like that. I think with older age that panic that he was going to bring down all of his fathers hard work and the Tudor name down with him was what really did it at the end of the day. I recommend you watch History Callings video on the topic for more insight

Mary was very kind to Elizabeth, it’s been said that she was very maternal with both of her siblings, although with Edward more as he would write that he “loved her most”. I think it was due to the fact that Mary had always wanted children of her own but never could due to her father never marrying her off.
