What he’s advocating for is essentially already happening. More and more people are switching to only eating chickens, and the number of animals killed every year will continue to rise as this trend increases.
200 chickens have to be killed to get the same amount of flesh as one cow.
I hope a lot of people will subscribe to your channel, you are one of the best activists out there.
And more and more people in the UK especially are turning to backyard butchering of pigs. Its cheaper to buy half a pig or a full pig and cut it up yourself than it is to buy ready butchered from a butchers shop.

I disagree, and I think telling people with a different opinion to you that they've 'lost the plot' is violently counter-productive. If you want to change people's view of the world you can't just sit on RUclips and insult them.
I understand what this guy is saying just as much as I do Joey. He's explaining that he doesn't think people would just jump straight into veganism and it'll have to be a gradual process. Granted, his method of only chickens is a bit unrealistic, but the idea is a good one. He said himself the ultimate aim is for everyone to be a vegan, he's just brainstormed an idea to get there in the distant future.

And that guy is like a CLEVER politician. Is aware of a LOT about the way things are, but is still contradicting himself with his actions. I've been taking a similar approach when responding to carnivores' comments, and it's ridiculously effective at exposing how barbaric the worldview is when you follow it logically and consistently. You can be a fan of bull fights, dog fights, cock fights, bringing dogs home from the dog pound and chopping them up for a tasty free dinner, putting ducks into wood chippers for some entertainment, kicking your cat to release frustration, etc. etc. etc.

People are already clearly against animal cruelty. Problem is, vegans cant distinguish between wanton cruelty and animal ag because they're either utterly dishonest or completely ignorant of reality.
If more vegans discussed their opinions and thoughts with a doctor there would be less mentally ill people because treatment is available for delusional disorder.

I am vegan, but I totally see where he was coming from with his reasoning.
As bizzarre as his idea is (to exclusively breed/eat chickens, since they're closest to the dinosaurs, as a poetic mark of human domination, also as it's a better stepping stone to veganism, and is widely eaten by many cultures around the world, etc), I really respect how well thought out and logical the idea is.
One of the best discussions you've had, the guy has an open mind and (I believe) will eventually cut the animal products.
That's a very ingenious way to approach the debate. I'm looking forwards seeing how it's going to sound debating with someone who has more logical congruity, and how you're going to keep your reverse-psychology role. You somewhat reverted back to the veganism stance on this one. Like, try actually convincing people to advocate for animal cruelty using all the points made by carnists.

This guy seems crazy but he might just have a point in that he is basically proposing a salami slicing tactic (it’s a vegan salami of course) for a political approach towards world veganism. And such a tactic in general is proven to be psychologically effective. People are much more likely to make small concessions and accept a suite of relatively minor change than they are to accept sudden drastic all around change. Resistance against banning pig farming might be less strong if there is still cow farming. Resistance against banning cow farming might be less strict if there are good plant based alternatives to dairy and people can still eat chicken and eggs. And eventually, once we have learned that we can find good alternatives for animal products including eggs, it will be even harder to argue that we should keep farming chicken.
However, getting people to politically approve of banning even one type of meat seems pretty much impossible at this point. Logic however wouldn’t be a problem. Logic is totally overrated when you want to get people to support a policy. People are mostly about convenience and habits and emotions and those don’t need to be logical.
@@p.s.224 Yea I agree, it's easier for the plebs to accept making small concessions. It's a welfarist approach tho. Vegans aren't welfarists, we are abolitionists. You can't argue convincing ppl to execute one but not the other is moral. It's a double standard and logically inconsistent. It would be like arguing you can enslave South Africans but not anyone else. Might be easier to convince slave owners since they still get what they want but the morality is still the same. There's still a victim being unfairly treated. Compromising morals can help make small changes for the plebs but it is just that, a compromise of morals. A weaker morality. It's utilitarianism vs deontology. Utilitarianism is dog shit.
