This was enjoyable to watch.
Thanks
I like how you cut your scraps up into different workable sizes!
this looks like something I need to do…thanks!
Longer sized strips could be punched and used as a bookmark - just add ribbon or tassel!
Great video. As crafters, scraps are always a challenge. I really like the way you pre-cut these pieces for easy use! Thanks!
You are SO organized. I really need to get a handle on my scraps.
I need that tag punch! I LOVE IT!
Oh, wow! I have that fridge bin! And I cut my scraps to 6x6. I am totally going to do that! Love how you store your scraps! TFS
Thank you.
brilliant I have so much scrap
I love the way you store your organized paper; thanks for sharing your system! :)
Thank you for the fussy cutting tip. I have a table next to me that would be a great idea to cut down paper and then have it ready to fussy cut. I have a bin for small pieces of scraps that I keep near my Cricut machine. Sometimes I need to cut out eyes, noses or just small bits and those scraps come in handy. I'm really liking your videos.
Thank you for this organizing scraps has been such a challenge!
Great video for sorting , cutting and storing scraps! Great tips!
This is brilliant!! Thank you for sharing!
I love your organization videos! Thanks for sharing 😁
Love your ideas! ☺️💕
New subscriber here. I like your ideas for keeping scraps under control and useful! Best I've seen. Thank you for sharing!
Great ideas! Thanks for sharing ~ Roni
Yes thank you it was very helpful I am going through this type of organizing! 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Love the video
thank you for the helpful video. Right now i have all my scraps in one container and it is getting out of hand. I really like your suggestions.
Glad it was helpful!
Oooo, this was so helpful. Thank you for sharing. Now, I need to go get some type of plastic bins to set up a system like yours.
So happy that this helped you. 😊 I got the bins that I keep my 3x4 papers, tags and small scraps from the Dollar Tree. Target is also a good place to get bins ... I love the Y-Weave bins from Target and they come in all different sizes and colors.
@@YesPleasePapercrafts Awesome. Thanks for the tip on where to find the bins!
Thank you for this video I am overwhelmed with all the scraps I have and not having it organized drives me crazy. I saw the scissors you were using are they really easy to use and handle? Please let me know which brand they are?
Hi Amy ... Glad it was helpful! The scraps drive me crazy too ... lol. I have tons of scissors and so I had to go look at the video to see which ones I was using. I've had those scissors for a really long time ... I think they are from We R Memory Keepers and they are ok but not one of my favorites and I don't use them very often. My two favorite scissors for fussy cutting are the We R Memory Keepers 5" Precision Scissors and the Ranger 5" Mini Snips (make sure it's the one that says Kush Grips) ... there are a lot of different versions of these scissors and they look very similar. My favorite large pair of scissors is the Fiskars Performance 8" Softgrip Non Stick Titanium Fashion Scissors. Hope this helps. 🤗 Karen
I find it hard to throw away any of my bits👍
Me too! lol ... I even sometimes throw bits of paper away and then dig them out of the trash can!!!
What is the size of the bins that you are using for the 6x6 paper? And what did you use to make the labels with the colors?
This bin is from Amazon. The size is 12.3 x 6.25 x 3.5 inches.
amzn.to/47G2xGS I created the dividers from some white cardstock and used a corner punch to round the corners. The labels were created with a Brother Label Maker using the border setting to draw the outline around the words. Hope this helps.
Thank you!!
New subscriber here :) Love your tips. I'm a big tag maker. What brand are the two tag punches? Would love to find them. Thanks for all you do!
Hi Mary Beth ... the two tag punches are from Stampin' Up. www.stampinup.com/search/tag%20topper?ts=1611683426944 It looks like the Scallop tag is still being sold but the Angle tag may have been discontinued. You can also check on eBay for Stampin' Up Tag Topper Punches and you might find it there. There are also tag topper punches that I've seen at Hobby Lobby where you can make tags with different size strips of paper www.hobbylobby.com/Scrapbook-Paper-Crafts/Accessories-Tools/Punches/Scallop-Tag-Punch/p/80845562. Hope this helps 🤗
Oh, and how do you store the long border strips. Those long pieces I really struggle with knowing how to store. Thanks.
Hi Janine ... I use the Alex 6 drawer wide storage unit from Ikea to store a lot of things because it's has really large drawers. I keep the long border strips in a drawer organizer inside one of my Alex drawers. I always try to put things in drawer organizers or bins so that I can easily grab it and bring it to my workspace. I've been thinking about organizing them by color after I watched a video from Janet at RTS Scrapbooking but I haven't done that yet. Here's a link to Janet's video if you are interested in organizing your border strips by color. ruclips.net/video/xmrHqh8bUrM/видео.html
@@YesPleasePapercrafts Oh, great! Thanks so much.
Just thought of a question - how do you store your larger pieces of paper, the ones you don't cut down? You mention you don't cut down paper that's 12x6, do you keep that in your Iris bin?
Hi Diane … I have paper and cardstock stored by color in hanging file folders in rolling storage cubes. I also have paper by manufacturer & collection in bins that I can flip through. I put the larger pieces of patterned paper in plastic sleeves or 12x12 page protectors then store those either in the hanging file folders or the flip bins. I put the larger cardstock pieces in hanging file folders in the rolling storage. I have videos for both of these storage solutions on my channel. Hope this helps.
@@YesPleasePapercrafts Thank you for the quick reply. I'll look for the videos you mentioned above.
Thank you for the tips. Can you help me with tips on fuzzy cutting?
Yes, I have fussy cutting in my list of video ideas. I can share some tips with you on that.
@@YesPleasePapercrafts thank you so much I really would love that and it would be very helpful 💕
Yes Please Papercrafts me too! Me too! Thanks
I just added a video last night on Fussy Cutting tips … give that a watch and then let me know if you have any questions. Hope the video helps. ruclips.net/video/lEGu657Is3A/видео.html
What do you use for your color dividers?
Hi Paula ... I think you are asking me about the dividers that I use for my 6x6 paper that I have organized by color. I made these dividers out of Magazine Backing Boards amzn.to/2yRcAgb. You can get two dividers out of each board and then I just rounded the corners on the top with a We R Memory Keepers Corner Chopper.
Good idea but I DONT HAVE TIME to organize and cut up SCRAPS. 🙁
Thanks ... I agree that it takes time to do. I usually cut my scraps up while watching TV or listening to an audio book so I don't mind. I also use page protectors to store scraps of cardstock by color, so maybe doing something like that might work better for you.
