Funny you are cutting your extra pieces of paper. I just did the same thing this week. The only difference is that the pieces I trimmed off, I made tags. It was satisfying to get it done. I will not leave so many pieces without trimming and sorting.😂
I find that using the zip lock freezer bags work great to keeping the papers in as it is easy to unzip and reclosable easily. I have generally keep them in bags by colors in a small tote and it works great! Before I grab a fresh sheet of paper I check to see if a piece of paper in the scraps zipper bag of that color will work instead. I do love the idea of cutting them into 6×6 etc. Thanks!
I REALLY need to find the Crop-A-Dile I bought from Joanns last year! I never even got it out of the bag! I've had it for several months & haven't even opened it yet! I'm not even sure which closet I tossed it into! LOL!
I keep a 81/2 x 11 sheet protector for my solid colors and the printed scraps with their collections. Individual scraps scraps I cut to standard sizes and prep card bases. I use cello bags to keep extra die cuts together. Once in a while if I am stuck creatively, I grab these items and use them up!
Thanks for sharing! I’m going to do that with my tags! I have a huge plastic bucket that I just throw all my scraps in and yes all mixed together😂 sooooo it’s driving me crazy and in my way! So guess what!?! You inspired me to do this with mine! There’s a lot of paper in there! Wish me luck friend!❤❤
Thank you for showing this to me I am in the process of taking my attic and making it into a craft room this will be a neat idea for me to get rid of a lot of my pieces of paper I have at the house thank you so much again and God bless
Excellent ideas for organizing❣️ I don’t have a lot of money to spend for the pretty clear bags. So my solution is using food storage bags from Dollar Tree. They have two gallon bags, gallon bags, sandwich bags and snack packs. Plus I do keep bags from when I do receive product in them. For my premade tags I found a cute basket and metal (or whatever type of hard stuff🤭) that is perfect for standing them in. I then have each set stored in half cut #10 envelopes (from Dollar Tree) to hold them up. Don’t get me wrong I have bought storage items from Michael’s and JoAnn’s and they’re wonderful. Just sharing some ‘cheap stuff’ I’ve found. 🤗💕🦋
Thanks for more ideas Deanna!!! I have been trying to get my craft supplies more organized and wasn't sure what to do with my scrap pieces. I bought a folder-type container at Hobby Lobby and sorted my paper by holidays and also by color. It has helped so very much.
Looks so great! I do something similar with my fabric. I cut scraps into squares or rectangles from 2x2 to 10" squares then put them in baskets for easy quilting
I would just cut the extra off the top of the little bags you are putting the paper in. I know it would annoy me to have to untape them every time I want to use them.
Love this idea:) tfs God Bless:)

Good idea! Especially making 6*6, tags. You can access easily.

Anyone who have a beautifully clean craft area/sewing room is NOT crafting or sewing!!
