i use rotella t4 10w30 in my 1970 318 and my engine loves it and yes it has the right amount of zddp for a flat tapped camshaft i believe 1200 ppm

try the Rotella T6 it is a synthetic but has zinc/phosphate I use T6 and STP in my roller cam 302 (installed in a 84 Datsun 200sx!) The phosphate in the ZDDP does the actual lubricating

STP oil additive contains ZDDP enough for a 4 to 5 quart oil change, cheap and works perfectly,

Watch project farm's video on RUclips about STP. It is so low in ZDDP that it actually lowers your overall ZDDP count. Even in modern oil.

@@Littlelewie151 It probably has a max of 5% I'd guess. At least Redline's product states exactly what it contains. Since I have a modern car, I wouldn't want to add an excessive amount and so one bottle would be good for 3 oil changes for me. At least that's what I'm lead to believe. With my oil tanks capacity (4.86 qts), 1/3 bottle would add 762 ppm Zn and 632 ppm P.

Racing-type oils from Amsoil or Lucas Oil are very high in zinc - worth the $$ if you care about your engine. They both also make high-zinc, non-racing oils

So what if you have a classic car, say a 1990s Mini, the engine design of which dates right back to the early 1950s. Minis produced in the final decade of production had catalytic converters, but with engines requiring ZDDP. What then?

Cat converter is worth destroying if the motor feels better

HDEO's (heavy duty engine oils) such as Chevron Delo and Mobil Delvac have sufficient zddp for older cars, typically around 1200 ppm of zddp. They are also available in synthetic. 15W-40 or 10W-30 are good viscosities for your classic cars. I would not use a 20W-50 oil because it contains too much polymer (rubber) in that viscosity. The polymer will cause deposits in the ring zone and on the valves, shortening the engine life. Thats why you do not find 20W-50's in todays motor oils.
