@@theuberedredspy8791 I have a pet theory that Obsidian is really good at making sequels. I sorely hope this is one day patched into TSLRCM! From what I know, Kreia was supposed to sacrifice herself at Telos, leading Atris to become Darth Traya. I would love to experience this ending, the concept is splendid!
Problem is it would completely change a lot of scenarios, which they probably don't even have the voice lines for. Other than the fact they'd completely change the ending, I don't think there's even enough resources to make this happen. Would've been a cool alternate ending if you have high influence with Kreia, I think
Yeah that’s one thing I never understood. Influence with kreia is kinda useless aside from learning more about her past but she still betrays you and joins the sith even if you’re dark side. I hope that 1 day when KOTOR Remake has released and provided it's a success, they go on to KOTOR 2 Remake then we get the game how it was meant to be in it's complete entirety.
I hope not, cause the starting game plot of KOTOR 2 ruins Revan as a character by making him a complete idiot who’s willingly step on the same rake, leaving the love of his life (pregnant or with newly born child) to disappear in the unknown regions, without telling anyone where and why he’s gone. Hack, he didn’t even took his droids with him. Not even used his own ship... how much dumber and illogical they could made him? Well, at least Exile in book was a little bit smarter - did the same dumb shit but with T3-M4 as companion and in Ebon Hawk. And died in vain. Honestly, the whole plot after first game is disappointing, but it all started with the KOTOR 2.
It still amazes me how KotOR II was such a great game. It's rare to find sequels that live up to the first game, but even though I'm a big Revan fan, I think I like KotOR II even better. Kreia was a great character, and figuring out her unique perspective was really fun and rewarding. Though sometimes it was also vexing and annoying, but in the best possible way. And though Darth Sion and Darth Nihilus were both a little one dimensional, they were still very very cool. They each had an excellent and unique strength that also served as a flaw. They didn't do much, but they exuded menace. You could feel the pathos rolling off the both of them. And even their unidimensionality is a strength for the narrative structure, because you get the sense that they each had to sacrifice so much of themselves in order to gain such tremendous power on their chosen paths. This rather neatly explained what would otherwise be considered a lack of character development. It also made them tragic figures, despite their great power, making them somewhat more relatable. Furthermore, instead of just leaving it at that and trying to cover up the lack of character development for these villains, the story actually highlights it. Kreia points out this flaw of theirs, and rather callously dismisses them both as slaves to the force in conclusion. So instead of being poorly written well rounded characters, they were deliberately written unidimensional characters. Which was done very well too, I might add. And that's just the three of them. There's a great supporting cast of characters too. T3-M4, HK-47, G0-T0, and that's just the droids! There's the Mandalore, who's a cool returning character. Atton, who's like a darker, better Carth. Bao-Dur, who despite sounding like he's on valium all the time actually has a really tragic backstory in there. And then there's my favourites (apart from Kreia): the Handmaiden and Visas Marr. Both of whom served powerful masters that failed them. Visas is basically the darker, more scared and traumatised mirror for the Handmaiden, which is understandable given she served Darth Nihilus as compared to Atris. Speaking of whom, she is also yet another fascinating character from this game. The Jedi Masters are all interesting in their way, but Atris is the most interesting. Anyway, talked a lot, said little. Basically, really great game, and a worthy successor to the original. Loved the series.

I see you took my advice from "*Rare* Dark Side Playthrough Menu Easter Egg in KOTOR 2" video. This now settles the Easter Egg in KOTOR 2 main menu for good.
Kotor 2 on Xbox 360 from the Xbox store, ending, Kreia talks about Atris & the queen of betrayal & there always needing to been a Darth Traya. I was confused because I spared her but I guess that's one reference they didn't quite totally take out. Pretty cool
Is it just me or does this version of Darth Traya look a bit like The Evil Queen ( before the creepy transformation) from Disney's Snow White And The Seven Dwarves?
I bought the guide and was unspeakably disappointed that tye arc was cut from the game. Unlike KOTOR which felt very contained and complete in itself, my complaint about KOTOR II was that it felt very truncated with hints of missions or options that never actually go anywhere. Another error that can be seen are hints of a two handed Kreia on Dxun in certain game related photographs. Further, only five characters had good designs: Kreia, Atris, Atton Rand, Vissas Marr, and Darth Nihilus.
I never knew this actually. I wish we saw that model somewhere else as a new villain. Could be a really cool character in something similar to the Coruscant mod
They need to make a Knight's of the old Republic movie series. It is easily the best story in all of star wars. And it's a story long enough to make at least 3 movies and get a new trilogy going. If they got a director and producer who ACTUALLY HAD TALENT and a true desire to make the movies in a way that stays loyal to the story and timeline of star wars. It would easily be the best star wars movies period.
I agree. I heard originally kotor 3 was supposed to be either you playing as revan or a different character trying to find and help revan in the unknown regions. Apparently there was a huge sith empire out there and Revan went there to find something maybe the sith emperor. Would’ve been awesome to finally see a new civilization as long as it’s pretty similar to the republic with many of the same species but let’s see some chiss walking around and maybe a different more sith architectural style.
Oh absofuckinglutely. Hands down the best Star Wars stories I have seen, including all the Star Wars games and other lore that I'm aware of. Admiral Thrawn was a good character and so some of his stories would be cool, and apart from that I'd love to see some of the Old Republic and Sith Empire stuff too. But definitely the whole Revan/Surik/Kreia story, faithfully told, would be the best.
I knew that Kreia was Darth Traya, and I knew Atris was a fallen Jedi, that would be clear to any half-wit. But that Atris was another Darth Traya, that was unexpected, well, Meetra Surik still ended the both of them.
Unpopular opinion darth sion is the coolest character in this game the cut scene where he choke slams the sh***t out of kreia is one of my favorite star wars scenes in any game
I'm actually glad that this idea was scrapped. Atris is much more obnoxious than Kreia, and wouldn't give the ending the same sense of uneasiness and ambiguity. Besides, the new outfit and "queen of betrayal" are really cringy - much more so than Kreia's black robe. And even this was a bit much, considering that Kreia doesn't consider herself a Sith and doesn't fit the whole "evil final boss vibe". It would be really hard to take it seriously, especially in such a nuanced game
I much prefer Kreia. I'm glad that Atris can't be a final boss. Honestly, Atris is symbolism. Pretty much everything wrong with the Jedi. Having her as the final boss would detract from this.
Its sad what they did to this game but even the fucked up version is a great game let alone the restored version is amazing I hope that the kotor remake is real and is made so amazing it just blows away all these other games simply because kotor is itself a masterpiece if it was to be made with todays technologies Ahhhh shit son we about to to be swimming in a amazong immersive game that nobody will be able to beat for GOTY edition
This would have been SOOO much better. My biggest problem with KOTOR 2 was always the villains. Nihlus is dull and stupid. Kriea is obnoxious and not very compelling. Only Sion was solid and sadly rather than be the main baddie, he was a glorified henchman. Atris pulling the strings all along or being the actual Sith Lord at the end would've been an awesome twist that would've been memorable and compelling.
Pimp master Nihilus is best Nihilus.
He is probably feeling awkward and holds on to his dignified posture out of shyness.
Hes not the lord of hunger, he the lord of thirst
I got a question can you keep playing after you beat the game unlike Star wars knight of the old Republic 1

Is the restored content download only for PC?
Who is the 8 foot tall Disney queen?
Kotor 2 on Xbox 360 from the Xbox store, ending, Kreia talks about Atris & the queen of betrayal & there always needing to been a Darth Traya. I was confused because I spared her but I guess that's one reference they didn't quite totally take out. Pretty cool
So nobody going to mention the extra person walking in the background at 48 seconds???
They were Atris' dark handmaidens
Just seeing this woke up that itch. I guess I will reinstall kotor 1&2 again. It has been 10 years since last playthrough...
There was a time in my life where I sat down and focused... this was the a last time for me.
That is a interesting cool easter egg
U kill Traya she's evil Trayas academy?
Malachor V
Is it just me or does this version of Darth Traya look a bit like The Evil Queen ( before the creepy transformation) from Disney's Snow White And The Seven Dwarves?
uhh is that kreya escaping in the background at 0:47 ? creepy af
Why restoration patch? I feel so betrayed!
Kreia:"the galaxy needs it's betrayers".
@@Spartan3D213 Underrated comment
Am I the only one who gets Maleficent vibes from that version of Darth Traya in the beginning of the video lol
Oh no no. I get em too
They need to make a Knight's of the old Republic movie series.
Is this all done "Keyboard Nation"...? No consoles?
No way i still discovering things about this Jurassic game
This was so confusing as a kid with the Prima guide.
not Kreia being a sneaky snake in the back at the 0:45 mark
Par for course 🤣
That font is pretty neat, which is it?
The text I used? I think its Oswald
@@DarkLOREDash As seen in the few seconds on the title menu. Oswald came up a blank. If you can't remember, no biggy, just thought it was a neat font.
Yes. Honestly I think I may have unlocked everything from sith lords
Ngl, I'm glad it wasnt Atris that was the final boss.
I'd actually have liked a dual ending
Very nice
Now if only we could get this Mod on Steam….
I knew that Kreia was Darth Traya, and I knew Atris was a fallen Jedi, that would be clear to any half-wit. But that Atris was another Darth Traya, that was unexpected, well, Meetra Surik still ended the both of them.
Well. Dancing with Twi'leks is fun. I get it.
Why she looks like a Disney villain is beyond me but not surprising either
okay where I can find this mod ?
Looks like Maleficent from sleeping beauty mixed with the Evil Queen from Snow White.
This voice belong to Carth Onasi?
I don't want to talk about it
@@DarkLOREDash 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 omgggg
Lol, she looks like the wicked queen from the original Disney Snow White cartoon
Cool stuff
Is it just me or does she look like Shinnok's sister
Traya would stomp the pc one most powerful sith ever
I wish there was Star Wars KOTOR 3.
Hold up when i played Kotor on first xbox she appeard asswell
Nihilus was a hound xD
I much prefer Kreia. I'm glad that Atris can't be a final boss. Honestly, Atris is symbolism. Pretty much everything wrong with the Jedi. Having her as the final boss would detract from this.
Good point.
KOTOR 2 was rushed before its release. If another year was devoted to the game's development.
Lol atrus was always kinda lame to me but this could have redeemed her a bit
Cool pfp
Isnt kreia traya....
The dark mother.
Goth Atris is best Atris.
You think you know everything about Easter and lore dash does this to me
Damn why Atris you have to be so dramatic.
There is no secret final boss
I've finished this game multiple times so I know what I'm talking about!
Its sad what they did to this game but even the fucked up version is a great game let alone the restored version is amazing
I hope that the kotor remake is real and is made so amazing it just blows away all these other games simply because kotor is itself a masterpiece if it was to be made with todays technologies
Ahhhh shit son we about to to be swimming in a amazong immersive game that nobody will be able to beat for GOTY edition
Wow...!
I learned nothing new here
I, in my infinite wisdom, didn't even bother to look into KOTOR 2 before playing it. Man was Malachor V disappointing
kotor
huh, was randomly unsubbed seemingly.
Kotor > kotor 2. The climate is just not the same.
Did you really just say Kreia was not very compelling...
First!
*Blue Shell*
Kreia is a woman, not a "they"
I dont understand
@@DarkLOREDash the beginning of the video sounds like Kreia is being called "they" instead of "she"
