wow.. just blown away with how you work, rework and make new. It's SO much better than watching it done once and no mistakes so we, as garage warriors don't give up, think outside the box and can make, remake and recreate, make again to get it right. Thanks for letting us come along for the ride. (If that all made sense lol)
🤔? If Diff fails in the Forest.. Does anyone hear him scream??. You rebounded, recouped, regrouped, refocused, overcame setbacks and championed a successful, stellar solution to a roadblock in your build.👏👏🏅🏆
I don’t think there is anything you can’t figure out Div!!!!! I love the fact when you Gia problem you honestly share it with us and use your ingenuity to find a solution 👍👍👍👍‼️
Your humility is one of the reasons I can’t wait for Sundays to see your videos. Recently I found myself realizing that I must cut apart a neatly finished project because I failed to measure one item. Yes, it’s painful!!!! But it now works, like your driveshaft will!!
I can't imagine the feeling when first cutting up all that hard work...Ok, yes I can, I've done it too! Haha, turned out great and another problem is solved! On to the next one, looking forward to it! :)
Duff, since when is learning and discovering a mistake? The real travesty is discovering it much later. So keep up the intriguing work you do, it's GREAT!
I would not call it a mistake. You did some crazy engineering. Would be nice to have a crystal ball in your shop. All that modern builders know how to do is add to cart and bolt it on. Old school is the best school. Cheers!
We live and learn an live to learn from are mistakes. Glad you can still use it and repair that part Div. It's coming along nicely so far. Can't wait to see more videos soon on this project. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friend. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God bless.
I really enjoy watching your engineering and fabrication skills. I worked with a man back in the 80s we called him to Swede man reminds me of you very smart man thanks great stuff.
You will probably need a very long slip yoke up front, Diff! Another real world example of car building. Like Rat Rod Bob is always saying, "We're gettin' it, we just ain't got it yet"!
Div im loving your channel. I'm not big on rat rods, but I do appreciate good fabrication, and you do some really cool builds. i also like welder up and rat rod bob there are some real artists out there on youtube and youre one of them
We're green with envy on you saving that piece from the wall of shame! Now it can be added to your hall of fame. So many moving pieces in a build like this, kudos!
This one of the best episodes, mainly because you did not sit on the fence crying because your balls are hurting from sitting on the fence. Instead, you got off your butt and got to fixing stuff. Inspiring as always. Looks like winter is headed your way. Mooi and vir jou.
@@ratrodsafrica Hey Div!!! Yeah all is good. Just been super busy with work and life, Ive been working alot on my wifes Z and also on my shop truck and filming it all just havent had time to edit! Thanks for checking in on us 😃
You have done a great job of adapting, improvising and overcoming the things that pop up in front of you on the journey to build this truck. Outstanding job Sir
Happy accident, not a mistake. Lol. Thanks for having thousands of visitors to your shop every week, especially for a guy who doesn't like dealing with folks!
As always more entertainment than prime time free to air minus the commercials.. I was admiring some of the sculptures on your hands, grinding, welding and cutting certainly takes its toll.
We all stuff up mate, you’re doing something rather unique that’s got my interest. Also being rather isolated ( Australia ) makes you more resourceful. Your showing it warts and all. Problem solved👍
😎👍🇺🇲 There's definitely a skill and talent to building something to look a certain way. We used to do it on Pro Street builds. Adding components in places to look more raciyer than was required. "It has to be there in that spot. It's a race car." When in reality. We could put it anywhere. It was always fun being creative and problem solving. Then blending it all together to have that certain "look". Cheers from Seattle WA USA.
All I know is I have the "pile of shame" behind my shop!:) Sometimes you have to learn how not to build something!:) I think you also fixed another potential problem with having enough slip travel. Great fun! Thanks 👍
As Sargent Shultz always said, “I see NU-THING!” Great job overcoming that obstacle. It’s always a bad feeling when you have to redo something you spent so much time an effort on, but you did a fantastic job. The first thing I thought of was the drive shaft from an early Ford Bronco. It had three U-joints. I can’t remember what it was called. You probably wouldn’t have access to that anyway. 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks. The original Isuzu drive shaft also has 3 U joints. But the one that goes onto the diff has a flange, which means the yoke on the diff would have to be custom made
Div, you didn't correct an error, you refined the original prototype. I think the one piece shaft will be stronger and smoother operating over that range of angles. See you next video.
I’m very impressed with your ability to solve A Steep Problem 😊 I noticed that in other videos I thought I’d just wait and see what happened great job 👍
Carrier delete is more of a blessing than the work now verses later. Less moving parts = less vibration/balancing parts rotating mass. The OG in me still works from the K.I.S.S. system (keep it simple stupid). The glue and blender seem to work just fine. 😎

I love your attitude. Or did you cut the part where you were throwing tools at the wall. I congratulate you. You are an inspiration. Keep on keeping on.
Hey Dif , I was looking at the rear axle, when slammed thinking it was a steep angle , thort you may have used centre slip yokE in middle of tail shaft..BUT you fixed the problem the easy way..just more cutting and welding...WELL DONE DIF....
The reason I suggested using the MK4 Zephyr rear axle was to get around the driveshaft problem the diff head remains in a constant position and the axles move up and down like a cheap Jaguar set up, plus you get rear disc brakes, the rear axle on those cars was the best part, they can cope with a 351 V8, but your work around is less of an alteration to what you already had in place Well done, the guy who never made a mistake never made anything.
Man we are for sure addicted to this stuff. I find myself buying projects that take money slated for existing projects and thinking, if I don’t grab it someone else will. lol 😂 I was feeling your pain brother. But I too think it’s better now than before. Love this man ! 👍🏻✌🏻

You will probably need a very long slip yoke up front, Diff! Another real world example of car building. Like Rat Rod Bob is always saying, "We're gettin' it, we just ain't got it yet"!
Actually the slip yoke movement is not much, I measured it. Less than 1/2" over the full travel range. It is because the 4 link bars are quite long
looking lekka div, every one makes mistakes, .!
