I've said it before and I'll say it again. Anybody can take a bunch of money, go to the store and buy a bunch of parts, and bolt something together. The ideas you come up with to fabricate something that works, probably better than store bought junk just amazes me. When I watch your videos I feel like I'm sitting on a stack of tires, drinking a beer in your shop, while you explain to me what your doing, and how its all going to work. If I could do it, I would come for a real visit, but it's a long ride on my bike from Texas to South Africa. So I'll just wait patiently for the next video. Thanks Diff.
Hey Div, Those wheels are fantastic for this build ! To see the airbags working is super. And to see it roll is exciting ! Still a bit to do, but it will happen as it should. Nice to see your lovely Mrs. Great video. Work Safe, Be Well Enjoy life
The Old Fashioned Way is the best, most accurate way . That means building things that are accurate, strong , reliable, dependable, and they will last forever. Unlike today’s.
This is going to be a sweet ride, V8, full independent suspension, air ride, 4 link rear, 2 link front, complete restore front end. All you need now is AC, and 4X4, and your African safari mobile is complete. As always lekker boet.
I am building a 1954 Buick Riviera. I have haft the frame so far and i built my own upper and lower control arms, 4 link and full air bags got to sit on ground, lol now have to make it drivable, lol your a true craftsman, some of the things your doing i can for sure apply. Thanknyou my friend.
Good job Mr Diff the ideas u had wrkd great I think the wheels look really good so I have really enjoyed watching the build great job it's good seeing all built from scratch and seeing ur ideas come to life awesome job so far so to till next time 👍👍👍👍👍
Great Job Andre, perfect. Man that ride is lacquer, bet you can almost taste it, even though there is a way to go. Excellent suspension, concept and design.
Never disappointed with the videos, your work and the engineering you cone up with. Even a fail is a win because the basis formed produces great retrofits!
I'm sure you know this trick Diff, but for anyone in a jam without the proper socket driven allen (hex) wrench like you were when putting on the spacers: you can cut the little bent wrench in half, put the cut-off into the correct sized socket, and boom, you've got the socket driven hex driver that you need. You can also do it with a bolt and nut, the bolt head goes into the hex, and the nut gives you something to turn with a wrench. (That is super useful when you need a big oversized one, like for a 15mm or 17mm drain plug. ) Also, on final assembly, a bit of thread locker on the inside fasteners of the spacers is good insurance!
Awesome morning brother from another country wow great to see you again great to see the family as well !!! Proud to be the first one to comment lol !!!
Once again you did it! I like what you've done so far. Great wheel adapters. I've got to adapt newer wheels to my 1962 Impala but will re-drill the hubs and brake drums to the new pattern.
Those wheels are smokin' cool ! It sucks you can't buy what your heart desires, but the twin five spoke design looks sharper than a regular Cragar five spoke in my opinion.
Hi Diff lekka one, love and respect Fully agree with @lightfence, I also wish I am present in the Rat Rods of Africa, forste work Diff is very inspiring, he's a genius lekka one, once again love and respect 💯🙏
Glad to see your hard work paying off. Also, it was good to see you enjoying some fellowship with family and friends. I hope more and more people find your channel and subscribe.
I have to say.... what a work of art and engineering! All with simple tools and a Great mind! You show that you don't need a lot of fancy tools to get it done! OG's rule!
Hello again Diff from Canada, you get the rain ,we get the snow😫small inconvenience in the big picture. I love your build and the ingenuity to get the job done...thinking on your feet( or sitting on the thinking chair) Great job! Be safe my brother .
Love your wheels! I like a little shiny when it comes to Rat Rods. Those wheels will be an excellent detail. Machine shop did a good job on the adapters too.
Hello Div, air suspension is Lekka man. Really like the wheels they are ( as we say in the states) super cool. Take care and be safe. Have a Lekka day. 👍👍👍
This was probably the most enjoyable video I've ever watched. Once you see the genius, you are in awe. There is something about this video....maybe the excellent editing, but the heart that comes through is beautiful. You guys have gold here Div, you and your wife, family, friends. Enjoy thoroughly and, Thanks
Awesome progress that's getting one more step closer to another finished piece of art from my brother from another country have a leeka one and a cold beer for me as well 😊

Cool I'm happy for you. This truck is going to be a pretty nice one I take it. Great job as always. Stay warm we are roasting slowly here in Southern California it's been around 109 all week and finally cooled off today with a small thunderstorm with little rain and then got humid. Have a great night diff.take care.
I don’t know Div, first a shiny propshaft and then a shiny air compressor and then talk of keeping the wheel adapters shiny!!! I hardly recognize this channel!!!😉🤣 Was thinking when the wife showed up how fortunate you are that she delivers your parts and then leaves, but then she invites all those people to the shop!!!🤦♂️ All joking aside, you are doing a great job on this suspension!! I have learned a bunch of tricks watching your progress!! Can’t wait for more!! Stay dry my friend!!
The old white rims are good for landfill have them on campervans and trailers here in Australia anyway Div great video your wifes a peach i can see why you hang onto the good ones cheers

Undoubtedly, definitely, you’re the Greatest Head Master, I am the Apprentice.
We are all apprentices, just at different levels of experience 🙂
Nice job Diff! The forest engineering department has defenately earned that beer!
😀 Thanks!
There are well paid mechanical engineers who couldn't design mechanical solutions to problems like you can. Thanks for your great channel and videos.
Thank you and pleasure 😊
Hey Div,
Those wheels are fantastic for this build !

You have crossed over to the shinny side.... That shinny engine and wheel look awesome. Very detailed work!
Gotta have some bling at some point😀

Great job, Diff. You can take the day off with pay, like RR Bob says.
Mighty fine, mighty fine. 👍
Its a credit to you on your skill and workmanship
Coming along very nicely! You'll be driving the truck in no time flat! At least in video land it will seem easy! Haha
Great progress, really impressed with your engineering skills. How about walking us through some of your earlier projects? 👍
Thanks. Yes, I must make a plan about a video on other projects.
Great Idea!! I enjoyed the little walkaround of the recovery tow rig you did in the previous video.

The air system is working pretty slick, the wheels and tires are a great addition.

You are amazing Duff
A masterpiece of engineering. Impressive... Thanks teacher Diff.
I think the title of this masterpiece engineer should be "Professor Div" because I think I saw a framed certificate somewhere hanging on the wall.
@@kevinvaughn8694 Professor is more fitting for Div...I agree....
Professor? But... they dont get their hands dirty...😀

Turning out to be a sweet build
