I like the idea of repurposing materials instead of sending them to the landfill. Good job of explaining the wiring for the compressor. Keep on truckin'.
When you had the small tabs I said, yeah good idea, that's how I'd do it. Then when you showed the Speed brackets I knew I messed up and thought too simply. Nice work Div!
If I had the money, I would have bought that rat rod once it's completed. I can only dream. Thanks for your amazing videos and I can't wait for the next one.
Great design on the air system. One thing I did on my system was to install a 1/8 npt ball valve and quick coupler, I carry a hose that will reach all four corners of the Rat Rod. I also carry a tire plug kit so if you get stranded due to a flat tire you can fix it. Take care Div
I wasnt even looking to watch one of your videos, and this one came up when I was searching for ideas. RUclips seems to be working again. Lol I recently built my trash picked parts wheelchair, welder, and have my trailer legal again. So i am finally back to being able to work in the shop again. After building a crane and dump deck to the wheelchair robit thing, as well as adding remote controls, im now working on a mini air ride seat system(bad spine so low impact is a must). So finding this video hit the spot. Peace from the States. Keep doing whatchu do
I like the AF-3000-03 in-line water traps.. Auto drains when pressure is relieved. Now I stepped in it... 💩 not your application there~ Remove all moisture from air running out of an air compressor through a cooler (transmission, I used an a/c condensor) then into an in-line water trap before the check valve in tank. Mount cooler appropriate to use compressor's existing fan, voilla, Cool Dry Air!!!
Enjoying your build Div, your engineering is outside of the box and I love it. Being isolated from the world has its advantages, it makes you creative. Not relying on 1800 RODPARTS as they have in the USA. You are unique👍😁
Div,the hand made metal bracketry and fabrication" Wizard"....! Those that know, know how much time and effort you put in making all those pieces...and those t-bars,holey moley mint..Cheers.
Div, this is the prototype for the perfect RUclips channel for us motor heads. You explain, entertain and actually build things while showing your process. Perfection! The only downside is you’re human and can’t put out one of these gems every day but as the old entertainment adage goes, “always keep them wanting more”. ❤
Well soon the air bag thighmaster clone will begin flexing the torsion rod muscle for some fun vertical pump action.😁 Might be getting ahead of the game on this. If you haven't selected an air tank drain yet.. I suggest a cable pull style drain valve.. Easier to drain ..no crawling or reaching under the chassis....just pull the cable attached to the frame ( or other convenient location) until fully drained. Thanks for sharing Diff👍
@@ratrodsafrica 👍 Kool.. If you know of a wrecking yard that deals in air brake equipt trucks... they probably have plenty of used cable type tank drains ..work it into your next town trip...OR.. About $10- 20 US new.
I'm a little envious of the rat rod and gambler 500 builders. Make it work and make it look cool. Maybe one day I'll have enough room to build something cool again. I've had my hands on some really unique projects over the years but they're usually owned by someone else. Or very purpose built so they only can be perfect one way.
