Hoyo has once again cooked, and it seems like onions were being chopped the entire time. From the build up to each scene and characters, to the music at the very end and Robin / Sunday moment. Sunday symbolizes the *caged bird* who is _unable to fly,_ *crashing down* to the ground but is saved by Robin, who symbolizes the bird that _can fly_ and *broke free from the cage.* Essentially ending the metaphor with the following: The (strong) birds who can fly will care for the (weak) birds who cannot. - Although that’s just my interpretation of it. Brilliant writing.
I agree with every part of this comment but the end. I think having the final part of the metaphor being about how strong birds who can fly can care for the weak birds who cannot defeats the purpose of the Penacony story. The whole point of the story is to show that society does not have to be ran by the strong. The weak need to have the right, the freedom, to live free and pursue their dreams. Rather, I think the ending scene shows this theme very well. Sunday can be as strong as he wants, but ultimately, when it comes to a test of wits and will, the weak (in this case, Robin and the Astral Express) prevail because they've lived their lives striving to live freely while the strong have lived their lives seeking to oppress others and take control.

We don't exactly know what that entails, but it is not final. The third death, according to firefly's word, is "true death", could mean everyone stay asleep in Sunday's dream. We prevented that ending so for now she is fine. However, what's concerning is that in Elio's script, it says Firefly "will" experience 3 deaths in Penancony, not "may". As Firefly said, it is impossible to escape the script no matter how hard she tries. So even thou the true death didn't happen, there might just be another death that is waiting for Firefly, which is more concerning as she can't really die in a dream anymore. Hope I am wrong.

We can see Firefly is wanting to take control of her own life more, and not just be known as SAM the Stellaron Hunter. So this third death elio gave her could be her old persona "Dying" and her being truly reborn as Firefly.
Shaoji never surprised me with how he cooks. I fully expected a peak storyline from him I just didn't expect that it would be so actually wholesome and so like positive. Was he not lying after all? Is Honkai truly a positive and wholesome story?
No no, wait I can't forget, this is what he likes to do at the beginning. He starts it off Positive then slowly takes that positivity away again and again and again until it's *DEPRESSION* And then he starts making it more positive again until it's fully positive again so he can call it a Positive and Wholesome story because it started positively and ended positively without specifying what happened in the middle of it.
Never has a game ever made me go from "The writers fumbled the story, this ending was garbage" to shedding tears an hour later. Never thought I'd tear up over a Hoyo game, much less a gacha game, but it finally happened.
Yeah, after the first boss fight I was like "That's it? That feels like it's lacking." to then later be amazed once again by the finale of this quest. They really outdid themselves again with this one.
When I first heard that they started playing "North Wind" from HI3rd at 4:53:25 and then later "Why" at 4:56:26 had me in tears just from the context of how/where the music is used in HI3rd and coupled with the reveal the floodgates just kind of broke
The ending hurts so much, first the end scene with Sunday and Robin, and then the last farwell from Misha... when I realized this ment that he probably won't ever show up in the astral express... that hurts
Yeah so far it seems like Gallagher, Misha and probably Sunday are all dead along with so many people in the dream who have already died irl. And lastly Firefly's real body is dead I think. But she herself lives through S.A.M

Damn the entire 2.2 story was amazing. There were many parts that could've been executed better but overall it was a great experience. Rubee crying in the end got me tearing up a bit too man. damn.
I don't get how people can think any previous arc had a better story than this. I didn't really feel anything from Belobog despite it being the best arc till now, aside from the final fight. I'm gonna be super sad leaving Penacony. Gonna be very hard to live up to this story.

Each arc is significant, Hertas space stations was the decision point where you can choose to stay on the station and you get an ENDING, or do you accept the call to adventure. Belabog was a out do you give up during the end of the world or do you fight till the end. Lufuo was about the sins of the past, and redemption. Penacony was about the SOUL, do you accept Order and safety of the comfortable cage, or do accept the Harmony of trying to reach out to others and accept the risks of freedom. And accepting loss.

Losing Gallagher was really.. really hard, as he genuinely cares for Penacony even if it means risking himself.. an Enigma will cease to exist upon revealation. And- we got NAMELESS LORE, so many things happening all at ONCE!
When they said they worked for almost 2 years on Penacony during 2.1 livestream i was so hyped to see the result of such work and i think they didn't disappoint...what a story...everything was so good music, voice acting, cutscenes the story telling itself...every day, every patch star rail makes me proud of the decision i made 2 year ago to download it!

There is something so sad about seeing a cartoon character saying goodbye to someone. Yes I know theyre all technically cartoons, but Clockie is like a Mickey Mouse or Winnie the Pooh having to say goodbye to a friend once theyve grown up. Or in this case pass away. Because Cartoons are eternal. While people are not.
Meanwhile, I just did everything except grinding on slow. Not going to be ruining all that animation and voice work by going at 2x speed. Only time I used fast in non-grinding battles was to skip through enemy attack animations.

This boss got decimated in second by HMC, ruan mei, and acheron guys dont put them together so you can enjoy the battle, i had to use basic atk in last moment to make sure i got all of them speak when the astral train hit
While i don’t really condone the random shade throwing and i don’t hate or dislike the guy, he just worked the RUclips algorithm. I just fine it funny that RUclips only recommended him to me when he is either responding or reacting to a drama. Again don’t hate the guy, but RUclips has straight up only remember him when drama occurred.

i wish the boss fights were harder honestly. lovely story, dont get me wrong! this was peak! it's just the fights are phenomal, sure, but they don't last very long for me and im not struggling at all (im f2p). maybe that's because i play every day and clear every possible content (because im too broke too pay for my characters, lmao) but i dunno. perhaps they should just add some difficulty levels or something so that people can choose how they want to play it's not really a complaint, just a thought. as for the Penacony's story - ABSOLUTE CINEMA. i cried a lot during this quest, it was so overwhelming for me but in a good way. especially the Watchmaker's story. and, of course, the clash of different philosophies (Sunday and Robin). man, that was so beautiful. and sad. i love this story so much
I played the whole part 1 of Honkai impact, so hearing Acheron's real name being RAIDEN MEI got me CHILLS. And when you realize that Raiden Mei (Gonna start calling Acheron that since it's her real name) could quite literally destroy the whole entire dreamscape of Penacony at any time she wanted too is wild She also mentioned a girl she spent time with....maybe the Kiana of the Star rail universe, but she said homegirl died. If she is talking about Kiana variant then damn that's really sad
the fight is even better when you dont do 500k a turn :( they should really implement something so even omegawhales struggle in these important boss fights

This boss got decimated in second by HMC, ruan mei, and acheron guys dont put them together so you can enjoy the battle, i had to use basic atk in last moment to make sure i got all of them speak when the astral train hit

While i don’t really condone the random shade throwing and i don’t hate or dislike the guy, he just worked the RUclips algorithm. I just fine it funny that RUclips only recommended him to me when he is either responding or reacting to a drama. Again don’t hate the guy, but RUclips has straight up only remember him when drama occurred.

i wish the boss fights were harder honestly. lovely story, dont get me wrong! this was peak!
it's just the fights are phenomal, sure, but they don't last very long for me and im not struggling at all (im f2p). maybe that's because i play every day and clear every possible content (because im too broke too pay for my characters, lmao) but i dunno. perhaps they should just add some difficulty levels or something so that people can choose how they want to play
it's not really a complaint, just a thought. as for the Penacony's story - ABSOLUTE CINEMA. i cried a lot during this quest, it was so overwhelming for me but in a good way. especially the Watchmaker's story. and, of course, the clash of different philosophies (Sunday and Robin). man, that was so beautiful. and sad. i love this story so much

I played the whole part 1 of Honkai impact, so hearing Acheron's real name being RAIDEN MEI got me CHILLS. And when you realize that Raiden Mei (Gonna start calling Acheron that since it's her real name) could quite literally destroy the whole entire dreamscape of Penacony at any time she wanted too is wild
She also mentioned a girl she spent time with....maybe the Kiana of the Star rail universe, but she said homegirl died. If she is talking about Kiana variant then damn that's really sad
I don't think is kiana, but you can read about that story in the Pioneer Diver of Dead Waters relic set
