The way that boss fight was set up with all the events leading to that just makes it perfect. You had so many twists along the way in the story, a battle between taking control of your own life or letting someone else do it for you, and then you had people from 6 different Paths helping out (Trailblaze, Hunt, Nihility, Enigmata, Harmony, and Remembrance and 8 if you count Preservation and Elation) in uncovering everything leading to this fight... I think why this song was so emotional and hit so hard was because this whole patch with Penacony was a emotional rollercoaster and hearing Robin's voice was like the voice of an angel, yes i am making this comparison.
This has to be one of my fav bosses because not only do we see the effects like the train but the music, I never heard of Chevy's other songs but Penacony makes me feel sad and shocked
Why doesn't Sunday want to wake up? Most probably because Robin in reality was already killed (or dumbed, as an euphemism) by that bullet on the battlefield 😢 But out of his expectation, even if the remnants of Robin are nowhere else but in the harmonious dream, she still wants to "wake up" to accept her own death, for the sake of the people trapped in the eternal dream... This is the only explanation to Sunday's surrender to Robin's song and his once unchangeable persistence to his eternal dream, there's already a lifelong regret, irreversible, in his life, so painful and unacceptable to him, that he couldn't help appeal to power and order and the ability of the dream world, as desperate effort to "reverse" or "repair" the reality, to give peace to the universe, to realize the last dream of his beloved sister... Personally, when I was told by Sunday the tragedy of that caged little bird and Robin's past experiences, I immediately got the hint about what happened in reality. If possible, if I have that choice, I really don't want to destroy Sunday's dream; even if the cost to maintain that dream is indeed living people's vigor, there will still be lots of people willing to "donate" their vigor to support and build this dream voluntarily had they got the chance to know the whole story. In this sense, imo the only problem of Sunday was that, he was robbing the freedom of the people to make that choice voluntarily; this could actually be fixed by more peaceful means, such as a properly prepared contract between the dreamers and Sunday.
The emotional punch of Mikhail's legacy followed by the battle against Sunday is too powerful. Like Emily said, I can't even imagine how they are going to one-up themselves after Penacony, these are the moments that made me fall in love with this game.
Haven’t seen anyone mention the chorus sounds like a train. Even the whoas are reminiscent of a train whistle. They really went all out to incorporate this theme for the whole sequence.

Why doesn't Sunday want to wake up? Most probably because Robin in reality was already killed (or dumbed, as an euphemism) by that bullet on the battlefield 😢
But out of his expectation, even if the remnants of Robin are nowhere else but in the harmonious dream, she still wants to "wake up" to accept her own death, for the sake of the people trapped in the eternal dream...
In this sense, imo the only problem of Sunday was that, he was robbing the freedom of the people to make that choice voluntarily; this could actually be fixed by more peaceful means, such as a properly prepared contract between the dreamers and Sunday.
its a shame how she missed imo the most impactful voiceline when you use the astral express against sunday (himekos)
Good job
The emotional punch of Mikhail's legacy followed by the battle against Sunday is too powerful. Like Emily said, I can't even imagine how they are going to one-up themselves after Penacony, these are the moments that made me fall in love with this game.
Как же я люблю этот момент в сюжете и песню в бою с боссом. Так атмосферно. Мне даже сложно её отдельно слушать, только во время боя :D
this was me just jamming out its my new song on my train
Bummer that she didn’t get the Himeko voice line
14:44 LMAO Svarog be like: Ok that's enough.
I SWEAR THAT LAST PART ALMOST MADE ME CRY OUT OF ALL THE TIMES I HAVE WATCHED IT
Haven’t seen anyone mention the chorus sounds like a train. Even the whoas are reminiscent of a train whistle.
They really went all out to incorporate this theme for the whole sequence.
I'm not crying.... You are! 😢
Wow! Her Aventurine is cracked! The whole fight was literally a No-sell. 😮
This is Emily Sun, original certified Aventurine simp, of course her Aventurine is on crack... Maybe on steroids too...
Seriously though, Emily got Aventurine to E6S5.
I watched it live!! Almost 12 hour stream was intense! Kinda sad she didn’t get to hear Himeko (Cia) English line during the fight (she killed Sunday too quickly) but glad she got to hear it on RUclips (a few times)
Also love she still Simped for Aventurine in the true ending and begged Boothill to leave him alone! This is so on point with the Emily we know and love!!
Svarog is in the back waving the glow sticks along Clara being the best father figure. This boss fight just hit so hard.
This fight is truly beautiful 😭
i can say that without a doubt... this was the first ever boss fight from any game that i cried in
I've heard this song a bunch of times by now, but I'm still sitting here in public physically Fighting the urge to throw my hand up when Robin tells me to.
Apparently the lyric is "Heads up", but I really prefer to hear it as "Hands up".
The other 2 songs from Chevy were great but this song is just way better than the others.
Watching chat scream at her was frustrating even me I'm surprised it doesn't annoy her. I can totally relate to her reaction though. This boss fight was incredible.
I still cry when I do the boss fight...
I love Emily’s reactions 😂
Me too is so amazing ❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’m so glad I went in with a scuffed team at Lv70. My healer died in the final phase but I still heard all the voice lines. Lovely fight
Her thanking subs is so adorable
Claras VA loving penacony makes me even prouder to be a Clara Main
She missed THE LINE of Himeko 😔
Heads up
A steady rhythm, the destination is ever near!
It comes
Stride to our kingdom, to see the light of day!
This was 100% the best story of all of them so far.
I'm so hype the moment Himeko says her line the "feel the will of the weak" when sunday has 5%
It was so awesome when I finished the boss.
cool thing i noticed. after she beats sunday the acheivement she gets right after is 'workday without god' in my playthrough it was 'and then it it monday' or something like that
One of my favourite moments in the whole game
Idk why but i always like chuckle when Sunday said, music...?
Ive played both hi3 and genshin , yet this is the first time a hoyoverse game made me shed a few tears. I enjoyed penacony in its entirety, there was not one moment where I wasn’t fully invested and interesting.
okay time to fight the penacony boss
(20 minutes later)
damn…. penacony boss made me sob
I legit start the fight over when it was close to the end….i just couldn’t leave yet
