      Thank you!!
Isn’t the Timelapse amazing! The starter ended up overflowing and made a mess that night 🤣🤣
      Much love ❤️

I made some a while ago, but the were still a bit soft no matter how long I baked them for. These look delicious!! I’ll have to give them a go!!
    Thank you Kat!! Xxx

They look so yummy. I’ll definitely be trying that.
We made flatbreads today with our sourdough (Jaylen).
I love places that try to extend the life of fresh produce.
    Thanks for sharing Kat.

Ooooo, we’d love to see the flatbread recipe with Jaylen!! How amazing are the places that collect food that would normally go to landfill. We’ve got so many good things from them. It’s so great xxx

Love it I make smaller batches of chutney and relish and a home made taco seasoning/salsa and can them for long storage to help keep it quick and easy. Plus it uses up the excess onions and also tomatoes ❤❤

HEY!! Welcome to our channel! We're super happy that you found us 😀
We're very new to the sourdough world, too. We still make mistakes but it's fun to try different things.
      Kat 😀

I literally just cut up a slice of the sourdough bread that I made today. First bite... yep, forgot salt again 😂

How great to have access to that place saving food from waste.
If you have some of those tiny tomatoes still coming in next week, my Fri video is one on how to ferment them. I made mention of you and your wonderful sourdough shared recently when plating them up. Thinking how good they would be on the sourdough you made. We cheated at the bakery 🤣

'Feed Me' is so amazing, they help so many in need and help to reduce so much landfill waste!
Awwwwe, thank you for mentioning us in your next video!! We appreciate your support so incredibly much! Basil and cherry tomatoes are so tasty together but we don't have them fresh very often. Poor Justin gets gout from fresh tomatoes so I try to save most for cooking. I'm planning on cooking some into some sourdough bread and hope that Justin doesn't get gout from it!
There's nothing wrong with "cheating" at a bakery! hahaha
We hope you're all well xxx

Good on you guys for collecting the food. Working on the farm this year was an eye-opener. Thankfully, they sell "2nds & 3rds" (non-perfect) vegetables. But the amount of waste even before the produce makes it to the store is mind-boggling!! Probably only 50% of food gets sold to us, the consumers, because it's not "perfect" looking.
We had homemade sourdough pitas last night:)
Yours looked great Kat and time-lapse was cool !
    Cheers 🌱😁🌱

Thanks so much! It really grinds my gears seeing good that would normally go to landfill. That would have been so interesting working on the farm and seeing it firsthand! Did you get to collect any of the 4ths for your amazing compost?
How cool is the Timelapse! I couldn’t believe it when I watched it 🫢
      I hope you’re well 😁 Kat

We made sourdough starter bases for pizza last night. They are SO delicious!
We’ll have to give the pitas a go! I’ll add it to my ever-growing list 🤣

@5 Acre Farm aside from knowledge, free food was a huge plus, we saved thousands on groceries last summer:)
All remaining unsold or "5ths" were composted so Nothing went to waste. But I don't think that happens with Big Ag and our industrialized food system:(

hello Kat.. thank you so much for sharing the recipe... its been great to watch... just a quick question for dehydrating the flowers.. how long did you do them in the dehydrator?

      My pleasure! 😀
I just pop the petals on a dish and let them air dry naturally. I'm not sure how long it really takes because I keep adding petals to the dish 😂
