30:27 "You can't un-delay something!" Yes you can! Trains that are behind schedule pull out all the stops to make up time, because if they can go back into the schedule, that means other services won't be affected anymore. One delayed train can often cause a chain reaction of other delayed trains, especially on busier rail networks. And passengers want it that way too: if the train is on time, they might just make a tighter connection that they are at risk of missing! So what happened here is that this train arrived late (or was scheduled to arrive late), but it managed to utilize the waiting time during which passengers get on and off to make up a little bit of that time. You only need two minutes or so for people to get on and off, but often there'll be a bit longer scheduled to make sure that any delays won't have that much of a chain reaction. This was 100% Ben's fault. If you can make a train in time, SIT INSIDE OF IT rather than lounging around outside. You have plenty of time to reorganize your crap while traveling!
I feel like you guys shouldn't start chaser release timer untill the runner is off the trainer if you all three are stuck in it together. Maybe make a rule where all three of you have to get off at the soonest possible stop and from there continue the game
It's interesting because there don't seem to be many rules about the chasers acting independently from each other, but in cases like this their interests are definitely not alligned

as a swiss person who used both, you have my sympathies
The fact that Sam wins if he doesn’t tell Adam about the stop. He’s just so nice.
Sam: "there's X next to the next station. I can get there if I ride this train to finish this challenge
Adam: there's X that I have to run to get the challenge done
Ben: there's X this way * walks casually *
Adam: If I had a nickel for every time I got stuck on a train with my chasers I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird it happened twice.
30:27 "You can't un-delay something!"
Yes you can!
12:15 should specified something without a barcode.
exactly - don’t think buying something like that is the same at all as ordering. bit of a cop out
I agree but even so I think Italians don't want to speak English so much that it would've turned out the same unless he was in a touristy area
That desecrated ravioli (minus the carrot) sounds like something that would be served at a midwestern state fair
I feel like you guys shouldn't start chaser release timer untill the runner is off the trainer if you all three are stuck in it together. Maybe make a rule where all three of you have to get off at the soonest possible stop and from there continue the game
Second time it's happened to adam
It's interesting because there don't seem to be many rules about the chasers acting independently from each other, but in cases like this their interests are definitely not alligned
DB killing Sams plan is such a jet lag thingy.
YOU NEVER ESCAPE DB
“To be clear, the challenge did not require Ben to drink the vinegar”, but he took a big swig of it anyway is a huge reason why I’m Team Ben for this season regardless of the outcome. 🤣🤣🤣
I think they should make the game longer than 3 days, maybe 4 or 5!
Ben taking a big swig of pickling vinegar is a new iconic Jet Lag moment
Ben always accidentally making 200 IQ moves
I love how Germany keeps being the final boss for trains being on time. Perfect representation lol
Btw: it is a Austrian train (ÖBB) that was delayed even when it started in Germany. But still it is possible that the German Train company (DB) MESSED UP with the tracks and so on.
It’s a real shame that Ben will never be allowed back into Italy after this season for war crimes against food
'I've got you', then literally catches us as we are falling. Ben is the hero we deserve.
Ben definitely didn't miss his train on accident, it was always part of the plan!
I loved the part where Ben was stuck on St Pierre and Miquelon because there was an elephant on the tracks
It got even better when he found out it was a bull elephant in musth.
SPOILER WALL
Always gotta be someone 😂
THANK YOU
W I hate whenever the top comment spoils it
It worked lol
Mission failed. It’s not one of the top three comments which is needed to block spoilers.
You gotta love how even though this episode is in Italy, the Deutsche Bahn still managed to ruin something.
You should include Czechia in your next one, we have arguably the densest train network in the world. Safe, and on time (compared to Germany at least)... But the erratic schedule and lack of information will make for a fun season!
Yes, they should combine it with Slovakia and make a Czecho - Slovakian season. Maybe going into Poland and Hungary a bit.
Calling an Austrian train "German" is like the worst disgrace anyone could ever do to an Austrian.
American education moment
Ben coming up with a new plan on a train is the definition of impossible as he would be eating 🎉🎉
Ben swigging from the vinegar is WILD
Ben didn't stand a chance, but at least his challenges were very entertaining.
ben taking a swig of the VINEGAR completely cracked me up
Adam and Sam going to Bolongia to get "ahead" of Ben, makes me hope that Ben somehow decides to go to the part of his zone that is in Croatia to prentend that that was his "master plan" all along!
Damn, this episode is awesome. Ben ordering as a local was not that hard because Italians don't really like speaking English. It would have been A LOT harder in Slovenia, trust me. We always start talking English when someone doesn't understand us (or they tell us that they don't speak our language)
Then Ben with pickle (ew, too bad we didn't see the ravioli...also shouldn't he have cooked it first though?)
Adam looking unimpressed with Sam getting so much ahead of him.
But my favorite is Sam telling him he can leave at the stop before. That was so fair of him. Chapeau, Sam!
yeah, I mean, they're friends, so I understand, and it would suck to not give Adam at least some kind of chance as well. Then his run would be pointless, it'd just be tag across Bologna. I think it's definitely the honorable move to do
“I hope sam and adam are confused…”
“That does not make *any* sense…”
Well you got that right
NEW COLLAB BETWEEN TRENITALIA AND DEUTSCHE BAHN JUST DROPPED 🔥
When Sam asked "Do you know where this train came from?" Germany was actually the first answer that came to mind.
Its actually an austrian train
@@cooltwittertag Yeah but it has been on German tracks and that's the problem. The German tracks are in a really bad shape and I also feel like the Deutsche Bahn tends to put their own trains first when it comes to which train is where on the German tracks. Like "you want to pass that part. Sorry, but there's another train passing first so you'll have to wait". But I think that yes the train itself was Austrian but the staff might have been a mix between DB (Deutsche Bahn) and ÖBB.
@@folkehoffmann1198 if you think german tracks are in bad shape try taking a train in italy. Its the worst train system i have ever had the displeasure of using. Trust me, germany isnt the problem here. Italy is. Again, there's a reason every single train they took so far has been delayed and no, they didnt all come from germany.
@@cooltwittertag Maybe but the Deutsche Bahn is known internationally for its delays.
@@folkehoffmann1198 honestly it disturbs me how transit youtube is giving italy a good rep because it has fast trains without ever experiencing the horror that is public transit in italy themselves
Just discovered this channel, its amazing. Thanks for making these awesome videos :D
welcome to the club!
Imagine having to eat ravioli with Oreo filling and pickled carrots. Barf.
Yeah, I was thinking him getting caught was a coup de grace at that point.
Ben...why...you will stink vinegar after the "pickled" carrots...noo...please...it hurts my brain, my nose and my stomach to watch a vinegar fountain spraying down you... ... ... AND NOW YOU ARE DRINKING IT!!!
