lol I did a similar Mod To my old Maisto rock crawler. 2.4ghz and a lithium ion battery that is plug in to USB port to charge. Much better than 27 mhz and 6 AA cells.
Hello Don't know have been looking for a basic 2-3 channel trans and reciver with a 3-5 amp brushed speed control. And then I may have a chance to keep up with the brushless. I have put brass front bearings in it and also hand wound a dc motor that screams power but just need the new equipment to find out. But funds always a problem most project have been much help along by RCgarage.com but will need to spend about $100 to kit the car and then will also kit up others with the equipment also even coke can cars all for better power and control. Do you know of any good cheap ones that work with spectrom ?

I think its even funnier how many Lambos self ignite and burn up for the price payed WTF is going on with that some are just revin and showing off the flames out the back and up the car goes up in flames. Does this function cost extra and what would they call it.

Did try drifting the kick flip with no wheels almost worked did some fast long drifts bit such a short wheel base made it to tricky on anything tight . Have other attempts planned.
You could try finding auldey 's 1:28th scale onroad cars as they do have full suspension if im not mistaken (at least the Race tin series do. along with ordering mini-z tires it should be possible to reach quite ridiculous speeds with some mods & gearing changes.) (Their small monster truck is also a good subject for making a small offroad truck that scoots along alright. (should scoot along pretty fast with a 43 - 50 turn motor from pn racing & proper electronics while still on a single cell lipo.) ofc take off the springs & dampeners & only keep the plastic plates that flexes as suspension along with buffing up the steering & it should hold well.

If you live in the USA wltoys 939L speed flux is one of the best $ 30 or online to any were around the same price. There a good start and tough if looked after much time enjoyed and mod after enjoyed stock fist and you can get gears and front ends cheep if needed and can change easy. I'm also looking in to a maker called great wall there cars may be the next brand I take on good looking stuff and not expensive online also.
The L939 is also called the atomic racer. There by far the better pick for quality and endurance. Have moded 5+ they hold up the best even after over powering them.
I'm not shore of the motor you said but the stock size is brushed dc 130 and there are many that fit that will lift the car much if supported with power. I wound one my self and then just purchased hobby king 130 motors. They also sell one that works on 6 volts and 32.000rpm this would be nuts and the cars gears could take it, Dans dark side lambo runs S2 and 3 all stock parts and never broken it. Have done some of this but let the battery box in this is were I put them but there is more I can chop away. I even ran atomic racer tires on the rear just a test worked to well for now. But soon parts on the way for second Lambo vid More power RPMs also new receiver as the atomic racer one I use has the power down turn thing no good. I'm doing a full upgrade on all and take on Dans darks side brushless Lambo again. Parts are only days away can't wait

Groovy what what was the car you got out of before you got it and are you giving it away ? In the past thats what I've done. I have not owned a car in 3+ years last was a R-33 GTST not a lamo killer but it did eat up many other cars once believed to be fast. I could own a lambo but misses would kill be or do worse in my sleep as I would have to sell the house to afford it and would have noting left to pay the insurance.

Never done any modding or electrical work so i am a complete newbie but i want to mod the battery and wheels/servo. Any recommendations on learning resources to read or watch about modding in general? Thanks!
Hello What car did you buy and what scale is it. As I do a few things to a car when modding first I rig up a lipo like in the last drift car vid and see what lift I get as most units will work in an S1 lipo I've not killed one yet. Then if there is enough speed I may put a WL toys L939 unit in it. Or if I wish for more control and power on turns I use a hobby king 2-3 channel pistol grip comes with one reviver so you need to by servo and booster as the reciver runs 5 volts all this only cost around $45 with a battery they can cost only $2-$5 and make almost any cheap RC in to monster until it breaks. The lambos have never broken and dam runs S3 in his some times. I'm trying to do more of the how to were to get in the next round of vids as I can be tricky matching up parts but when you have a good list of parts to use a suppliers it get much easyer. AVA Magnetic Levitation Thanks for such an extensive response! Its a rastar 1/24 runs on 3 AA. I think S1 would be ok i dont mind losing power since i would lose weight. Actually my main gripe about it is low grip on the wheels and how little they turn so there is a large turning radius. I imagine modding the front would be super difficult so ill probably just do the lipo mod and maybe get a different car in the future. Again, thanks for the response!
You may like the vid I'm editing now I run more and more power on S1 but Dan my friend is running S2 and S3 Brushless it needs more gearing so it has insane power custom real rubber wheels and still breaks out a lot. Will be hard to catch with S1 but I'm working on it now S1 5-7 amps and 30+RPM motor. Too much power is never enough !

So I race in and out at 11:30pm when there empty and I'm the only one there the security guy can see me pay for my goods and still asks to see my recipt. I TELL HIM I"M NOT A CRIM NO YOU CAN NOT SEE MY RECIPT I PAYED FOR IT AND ITS MINE CALL YOUR BOSS AND THEN THE COPS NOW IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM. COSS I DO BEING ASSUMED TO BE A SHOP LIFTER AFTER PURCHASE < I"M LEAVING THERES MY CAR YOU CAN TAKE MY PLATES DOWN BY> GOOD DAY SIR !!! And I leave its almost the same very time different gard each time I do tell them its not there fault for bad shop changes and bad policies. Kmart SUXS !!! But it was once a great place to go and buy stuff now going down fast. Sorry long rely hope my truth makes you laugh.

From the video I guess you used another board from a different RC? if you wanted to buy a new board what would you recommend?

Remove the wheel wells with a Dremel to cut down on weight and dremel out the battery compartment
Have done some of this but let the battery box in this is were I put them but there is more I can chop away.
