    I'm thinking of a one way glass garage door with a security camera outside in case you forget the door is down.

    Good morning and nice video Suzanne. Gonna look good when the siding is on. Take care and have a blessed and safe week

    White Doors. Plain design. High Windows. No need to Match the Siding. You need to break up that 1/4 acre of siding. As an experiment, take a dozen 5 gal pail plastic lids (fast food places) cut a 3" hole in the centre and a cut to the edge. Put them over the base of new or existing trees to see how well they do without the weeds. Do you have to Winterize your Windmill? Textured siding is a good choice. Just in case of Hail! You will need 2 or 3 runs of 6" Eavestrough to handle the roof runoff.

    I've got a brown wood grain insulated garage door. I got from Worth Garage Doors in Howard City. It's not a designer door, and is on rollers, but I could afford it. Also, Big L can get you doors. You really have a lot going on with the build. Keep up the farm work. It's good for the head.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  Месяц назад

      I did tell Erik about the doors at Big L, but we have not quoted them. I think a few quotes are in order to really get a good pricing . . and maybe someone has something closer to what we want too :)

    The building shed look rules, keep it simple make it fun. To many people over do it with design then later in life you must deal with the monster you created. When aging people tend to downsize, and consider at least one bedroom on the bottom floor. Those stairs become a nightmare later on.

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  Месяц назад

      All our bedrooms are on the main floor along with laundry. It's essentially a one story house with a mini loft and a bull basement :) Lookking at it right now, it does appear a bit boring - hoping the porch/pergula added on the left later will help even it out :)

    Hi Thanks for another great video.
    I see this all over but I thought you may answer sometime when you are filming in the truck it appears to be Right hand drive (the way it should be LOL) and you are sat in passenger seat on the left. Then you will be on the other side.
    I take it its filming with phone or something. Its good the way it reverses everything lol
    thanks again keep it up with great build, they would build 6 houses in that space in UK

    What kind of Amish drive pickups and run motorized equipment? I, too, prefer the textured siding. Weird that the contractors just show up without advance notice. I guess that is better than not showing up when they say they will.

    The vertical window garage doors look great, but the problem is poor natural light distribution - half of the garage won't really get daylight. And good lord, $22k for two doors in matte black?

    • @BobL84

    • @This1LifeWeLive
      @This1LifeWeLive  Месяц назад

      I was thinking the black would be cheaper . . . pretty crazy! Most likely the doors will be open most of the time anyway, so daylight will be shining in that way. But we will certainly have lots of lights inside the garage to ensure we can see ;D
